Sunil wandered around letting himself get lost. He didn’t want to think too much. He was annoyed with himself. He had yet to truly make anyone laugh. Sure that little lioness had tried not to, but she thought of him surely as crazy. Would he ever find a person to be with? Let alone anyone who would talk to him long enough for him to seem normal?
Her legs had become longer with age, her body slender and lean and she had gone out on her own, she was ready to take on the world. No more being a pup, being one of ten, she was her own dog now free to do as she pleased. Her dashing coat of lilac and deep purple shimmered in the sun as she made her way from one outpost to another never staying in one place for more than a day and a night before she moved on to the next place, the next adventure. She hadn't spoken to anyone for a few days, perhaps even a few weeks, she had mostly lost count, but it didn't matter, she was happy being alone, so when she spotted the silhouette of another dog she sighed and started to make a bee line in he other direction, she really didn't want to have to converse unless she was confronted.-
Sunil sighed, but with his sigh came a noise that should never come out of his mouth, rustling leaves. He immediately freaked out. Was something wrong with him? Was he part tree now? He hoped not, but how to make sure that he wasn’t. There was no water around, maybe there was someone who could help him. He immediately started running straight ahead happy to be running but afraid of the truth. As he ran he spotted another wild dog, a female one. The prettiest one he had seen. Well, all he saw was her hind legs and tail, but those were pretty. “Excuse me! Wait I need your help!!!” he shouted, before regretting it. What would she think, he looked threatening, he had too many scars, would she be afraid, and what about the changes to being a tree?
Raha stopped and let out a long exasperated sigh. She turned around and found herself looking upon an older wild dog. Far from being afraid though she simply sat, it seemed she was to be forced in to a conversation after all. "well make it quick, I don't have all day." She snapped her tail flicking in an agitated manner and the fur on her neck rising in to a ruff. She had to show she meant business after all, she wasn't going to be bossed about even by an old battle scarred dog like this one. Why did she have to be interrupted? She was having a perfectly good day until this bozo arrived
He grimaced as she turned quickly, forcing him to stop. He was immediately staring at her like she was a goddess, if goddesses were wild dogs “Miss,” he said quietly, “I am sorry to interrupt you, but might you be able to tell me if I am turning into a tree? I yawned a few minutes ago and it came out as a rustling of leaves.” He turned around letting her get a good look. “Well?” He asked, praying that he wasn’t a tree. Would she laugh at him? She didn’t seem afraid, only irritated. What could possibly bother the strikingly beautiful girl before him?
Raha raised a brow. Great she had attracted a raving idiot. "And how do you presume a wild dog could possibly turn in to a tree?" She snorted and got to her paws turning away from him her tail twitching unhappily. Idiot, he'd stopped her for that question? "I’ve never heard such a stupid question in all my life." she barked striding away from him, she wasn't a great one for patience and she wasn't going to stand around and listen to a fools ramblings.
Sunil looked hurt. On the bright side he wasn’t a tree, but then again tress weren’t called stupid. He ran next to her and cut her off. “You’d be worried too if your yawns sounded like rustling leaves. I’m Sunil, I’m not usually this crazy, I’ve just been lost, and wandering alone. What about you? Are you maybe part Zebra? Those stripes complement your spots very nicely.” He let a weak smile come across his face.
Raha barked and let a growl roll over her lips. "You're in a forest genius you probably stood on leaves." The fur on the back of her neck fluffed about her shoulders as she glared at the dog before her. "Zebra? Don't be ridiculous, I am a wild dog, did you fall on your head or something to ask such ridiculous questions?" she grumbled her eyes set in an irritated glare
“I probably was.” He muttered, undeterred by her growls,”Well, I am a wild dog too. Aren’t you lonely? Surely you have someone to care and watch out for you?” he felt bad, he did not want to have to fight her, he really liked her, but she was crushing his hopes.
"No I am not lonely, hence why I was travelling on my own. I am old enough to care for my self I will have you know!" She barks, before letting a very heavy sigh roll over her lips. "What do I have to do to get rid of you Sunil? I was busy walking when you stopped me."
He barked a laugh. “Everyone gets lonely. And there will always be a time when you will need someone. I don’t think you will be able to get rid of me. I’ll let you walk, but I’ll be next to you. Let me travel with you. I won’t be a burden. Besides, we won’t get into trouble, how many want to challenge one who looks like me?”
She grumbled a bit and flattened her ears against her head. "Well I'm not frightened of you and I assure you I don't need anyone, I am travelling alone because I want to be rid of others." She lashed her tail and attempted to push past him then. She hoped maybe he would take the hint and take a hike. She didn't need anybody, especially not some crazy male dog.
He sighed and let her pass, but he kept step with her at her right side. “Were you pup napped or something? Everyone needs somebody, if not now than soon. Ever though maybe I need you? Or that I’m supposed to be with you? Why else would I have run into you?” He smiled ready to jump from a swipe. Why was she so angry? What made he so mad?
She growled through the side of her mouth at him and shot him a glare. "Why would you need me? You have already stated you can look after yourself." she snapped her bright eyes fixed angrily on the older dog. "No I wasn't pup napped, I wish I had been, I grew up in a litter of ten, I really don't want to spend time with others I want to be alone, isn't that enough of an excuse? Why don't you just wander off and chase your tail or something?" She grumbles he was not impressed by this big dog following her. "I do not need any body and I certainly do not need you!"
Sunil stopped abruptly. Who wanted to be pup napped? She was the insane one. Then he had and idea, He went back to her side and flashed his nicest smile. “What if I pupnapped you now? Even though you are not a pup anymore. Or maybe I can just endure your insults and wit for you to need me.” He wasn’t going to leave, nor was he going to stalk her. What could he do to soften her resolve?
Raha raised a brow, this one was a few bananas short of a bunch, maybe she could out run him? she doubted it, then maybe she could fight him until he went away? she wasn’t' fool enough tot hink she could battle a fully grown male. She was stuck it seemed. "if you must walk with me can you just shut up? I'v had enough of mindless babble for one day, just walk in silence will you." She snapped turning towards the deeper woods. Clearly she was stuck with this idiot, so what could she do but put up with him?
“What ever you say…what’s your name?” He asked before being quiet, he would have issues with that one. How could he stay quiet? He needed to joke to laugh. Hopefully she wouldn’t rip his head off. He wouldn’t let her do that anyway. Sunil always disliked the quiet, it meant that someone was up to unheard mischief.
She let out a very heavy sigh and rolled her eyes. "My name is Raha and don't think my name has anything to do with who I am okay?" She flashed him a glare. Her name meant bliss but she was far from blissful. She padded forwards another few feet before flopping down beneath a tree, she hoped this fool of a dog would wander off while she slept.
“Well Raha, I have no idea what that means. But if it means ugly you are right. It has nothing to do with you, but if it means beautiful, then you are wrong. You deserve such a name. Tired already?” He asked a little worried, how long had she been traveling? “You are alright?”
Raha heaved a sigh "I don't know how long you have been travelling but I have been walking all day can you please shut your hole and let me sleep/" She growled resting her chin on her paws and forcing her eyes closed so she no longer had to look upon he male dog.
Sunil hadn’t been traveling long, so he laid down also, but he stayed awake like a look out. He felt protective, even though she clearly didn’t want to be with him. He hoped that nothing came, and that he’d understand why he felt so connected with the one wild dog who would rather leave him dead than be around.
She let herself doze off eventually hoping the other wild dog would be gone when she awoke, she wanted to be alone why didn't he understand that? stupid thing. letting sleep engulf her she nestled down with her tail over her nose and slept a sound, dreamless sleep.
