Deep within the soul society, shinigami of all ages and sizes gather near the steps leading to the squad chambers. Young shinigamai dressed in their academy uniforms rush to the center as they play tag and laugh. Older shinigami stand talking to their friends waiting for the events to happen. Today marks the day in the soul society where a celibration of peace takes place. The souls of the Rukon districts come with stands, selling their best food as entertainers swell though the mass of shinigami.

The sun is high and bright in the sky, a spring time breeze pushes through the area cooling the shinigami. Children play games and tease the entertainers as they try their best to show off their kidou as well as the spells they have learned. Some old faces such as Naneo, Ikkaku asw well as Sojiro can be seen as they make their way through the mass of shinigami who praze them. Though they have retired, they still play a major role in the soul society.

The captains and lieutenants of the gotei have been asked to show and take part in the events.

Captain Kagaya was walking through the crowd thinking about alot of things. He was tired, he hadn't slept the night before, in fact he hadn't slept in days. There was something nagging at him. He felt like it was to peaceful, it had been far too quiet for far too long, it wasn't natural. He was so caught up in his thoughts that he walked directly into Captain Commander Abarai. He stepped back and bowed. "Sorry Captain Commander, I was deep in thought about the past. Seeing everyone here, it just brings back memories." He looked at Rukia. "I....I should go. Again I'm sorry Captain Commander." He said as he turned and tried to walk away.

Renji took a look bak as his bow lifed. No one seemed to be behind him. He heard the voice and hoped that no one else had heard the comment about being captain commander. The public did not seem to notice as he made his way through the crowd an tword the front, Rukia in tow. As he walked tword the head of the pack his brown cape caught onto someones zanpakuto and slowly fell to the floor revealing his squad one haori. Everyone seemed to hush and pause as the heads turned to look at the shocked Renji. His eyes became as big as saucers as a few shinigami and souls took a step closer to him. A loud cry from a man deep within the pack screamed "Thats him!" They all turned to look at the man then quickly back to find that Renji and Rukai where no where in site.

"Why did you follow me?" Renji turns to the captain with a slight smile on his face. His body leans against one of the buildings as he waits to listen to the shinigami. The ends of his white scarf tied to his forhead moving with the cool wind. His head leans back to rest as his eyes closed. He didn't want the shinigami to learn of his pramotion just yet but it looked like the game was over. The soul society was a buzz wth the new info and then his focus turned t the captain before him.

Kagaya looked at the Captain Commander, he didn't know how to continue he didn't think he would listen. "Ever since Ichigo saved me you know I've been training to be stronger. For some reason I've had this 'sixth sense' about danger and death. Right now it's screaming at me, it has been for the last couple of days. Theres something coming and there will be death if not already. I request I be sent to the World of the Living. I want to go alone, if only for a handful of days. I feel that whatever is coming it's going to start there." He bowed his head. "I'm sorry Captain Commander I just.... I don't know what to do. I want to protect everyone I don't want to see anyone else die. I promised myself that I wouldn't let anyone else be killed. And...I promised Ichigo. I don't want to break that promise." He looked at the captain commander with pain in his eyes.

The sun began to set as lanters began to glow. A few of the young familys took leave home, some children stayed in hopes of seeing more of their hero's as they pushed their way through the mob. Fireworks began to light up the sky, their loud pop giving away to the bright flairs as the people stood in awh. On top of the kido corps building Abarai Renji and Kagaya continued their talk.

Renji's eyes opened hearing the idea spill from the young captains mouth. He was not at all suprised to hear his words. He knew it was a matter of time until a shinigami became suspisious. Renji tok himself off the wall and put his right hand on the left sholder of Kagaya. "I understand where your coming from. There are matters int he world of the living we must adress before I send in some shinigami to poke around." His hand dropped back to his side as he turned to look over the edge of the building, down to the people of the rukon districts. Renji knew a new problem was brewing, he had been holding in a secret from the shinigami for a few days now. It was getting harder and harder to keep his mind off of the subject. "For now let's just relax and wait for the other captains to show up at the party..It can only be a matter of time."

Renji jumped from the buildings roof and began his quick fall to the ground below. It was atleast 16 storys before he slowly slowed his decent and softly let his feet rest on the ground. His haori blew with the wind as the flashes of light and the lanters began to light his image. The croud was nw face to face with the new commander, silence fell upon them as they fixed their gaze.

Walking around with his clan haori on Drake had a slight limp to his walk, he sees the new commander and someone speaking to him, Drake walks over to both of them and bows to the new commander and says, "Hello Commander Abarai, its great to meet the new commander, Drake Maraki captain of Squad 13 and of the Maraki clan."

Yukari looked at Drake and smiled. "I'm Tomino Yukari. Squad Five captin." She pointed to her own Haori.
