I'm creating this thread to post self rps and fan fics I've down for Kanati in my private guild.
A special thanks you Nisshou Hakuyaiba for helping me with the self back log rp
Note the fan fic is just that something I had fun doing, but it wasn't real. Just something I did for fun way back when.

Kanati Memories
((The end Kinda got rushed I had been working on this for awhile and with a new job I wasn't able to finish it completely before the deadline))
Kanati has seen many things and heard many more. He had learned to lead other spiritually and to be a family man. He had learned the difference between being family of all and loving one above all others. Kanati knew the language of old and could feel the meaning of the drums that beat deep in the Two Leg village. New breeds had come and gone around his world, it seemed ever changing and yet it never changed at all. Why then did Kanati feel like he had not done all he should?
Kanati walked aimlessly thinking over each encounter he could remember since his foalhood. He had not always been this spiritual after all, he didn't just wake up and start straining to hear the spirits of the earth and sky. No he was taught to, by his father and mother long since pasted.
"Hush! Kanati and stand tall!" A large green unicorn barked against a ragging wind to a foal that whinnied beside him. Many thought Kanati's father to be mad, but he only wished for Kanati to be strong and to understand the old ways.
"But it's cold I want to go home!" Kanati the young foal yelled back to his father while staring down the mountain's ledge.
"I said hush! To weather the elements is to make you strong! To listen is to hear the great mountain spirits, and to be on the mountain is to be closer to the gods themselves! I want you to be strong Kanati, I do not want to loose you to sickness like your older brothers." Adahy spoke not speaking a beat while starring into the swirling winds of the mountain.
Brothers....what would it have been like to have brothers? Why had they died before he even knew them? Kanati knew his father had been harsh at times to him, but he understood it was because Adahy was hurting. Besides he would not be as strong as he is now with out the knowledge and the wisdom his father gave him. And though his father was deep in the old ways and very religious that was not where Kanati learned to be spiritual.
The scent of spring was heavy in his breath as the foal ran through the open field to join his mother. The sound of spring's melody lofted to the young male's ears through the voices of the song birds. He slowed upon seeing his mother, a brown unicorn mare that seem to some how sparkle even in the shade.
"Kanati." Galilahi greeted her son with a warm smile yet distant eyes, before turning to look at the fields once more. Her ears twitched as the wind blew through her mane seemingly sending sparkles flying as it did.
"Mother, what are you doing?" Kanati asked following her gaze into the field. His eyes fell upon the spring flowers and he wondered if that was what had caught her attention.
"Listening.” Galilahi replied with not much emotion. She was like this all the time, it seemed as though she was always lost in her own little world. Obsessed with the spirits Kanati’s father would tell him.
Kanati tilted his head and perked his ears, despite that his father and mother seemed to always hear something, Kanati had yet to hear it himself. Did the voice of spirits sound like the songs of the birds or did it sound like the mighty howling of the mountain range. How could the same thing sound the same, or did they all have different voices like that of soquili? "What do they sound like mother?"
"Everything and nothing at all. A whisper in the spring’s breath to a roar of the ocean waves. Your father prefers to listen to the roar that the mountain or the ocean makes, but I much prefer the whispers." Galilahi smiled as she talked about what mattered to her most.
"....Ok well can we go play?" Kanati asked dancing slightly beside his mother.
"No, you need to learn to hear them, its important, when my father and I die they will be your family.” Galiahi said taking a more serious look upon her face.
Kanati hadn’t had a long foalhood now that he thought about it. If he wasn’t training with his father he was listening with his mother. They never let him interact with other families, nor play with anything strange he came across. He didn’t resent them for it though, it was part of what made him who he was. It was a part of him and he was happy with his life. Though if he could relive his young adult years he might have. His mother was killed, Kanati never really found out how, but his father wouldn’t let Kanati see the body so it must not have been a pleasant death. Adahy died not long after, his heart could not handle the loss of his life mate and he was confident he had taught all he could to Kanati. The young adult Kanati felt alone, and he turned to the spirits as his only family and friend.
Kanati gave a shudder as he thought over those years, he might as well have been dead for the majority of it. If it wasn’t spent talking to things that may or may not have been there. It was spent being mocked or in silence and solitude. Again though they weren’t years to be hated. They were apart of what made him strong, they were a part of what made him care for others and his family with such passion. He would never forget his most important encounter during that time though. It would set him on the journey that lead to where he was now.
It had been foolish for her to try and cross the river where she had and the spider lily mare was now paying the price. Lycoris lay just outside the forest by the sandy river bank. A few tears had welled up in her eyes but they wouldn't fall. If they started she new that they wouldn't stop and she would really be in sad shape then. Slowly she turned her head to gaze down at her right hind leg that was throbbing in pain.
The weather had been warming up so she had decided to leave her little grassy patch that had served as a make shift home through the winter and fall. The bit of land had been surround on either side by a forked river and to the south the great waters. She had wanted to go somewhere shady for the warmer months and she had wanted to get there quickly. The mare hadn't been paying enough attention to the rocks beneath her feet and she had slipped and fallen. Her hind leg had gotten caught and now she wasn't sure what had happened. All she knew was that it hurt and that she wasn't moving anywhere any time soon.
The young Kanati had lost his father many months ago. He was a lone, but the spirits they were his family now. They were the only ones that mattered. His eyes were always distant and he would easily pass by any soquili in his path. There were a few things that still mattered though he still had to eat and he still had to drink.
Carefully taking the path he believed the wind to be leading him on Kanati went towards the nearest water source. There he saw the injured mare, but he gave her not a second glance. Kanati leaned his head down to drink his ears twitching all the while.
When another horse appeared on the scene for a moment Lycoris thought she was in luck. He did not carry the traits of the killers that she had been warned about so long ago. While he did have some rather unusual features, a tail like a cats and a single horn protruding from his head. The moment of hope was very brief as he took no notice of her at all.
A pang of sadness echoed in her heart as she was ignored. This feeling was all too familiar to the poor mare. The feeling of being so unimportant that she didn't get a simple hello. It hurt a bit but she imagined it was not right of her to think that way. Just because she was injured didn't mean anything. Not everyone was friendly and saying anything would probably just be inconveniencing them.
Glancing down at her foot once more she moved it experimentally. Pain shot up her leg and she winced then whimpered. Still hurt. "Ummm...pardon me...do...is there anyone about that...could help...?" She asked quietly worrying her lip a little. She felt strange asking for assistance. It was, after all, her own fault that she was hurt. It would make sense that she would have to suffer through her mistake.
Kanati lifted his head still twitching his ears as the mare spoke. Slowly his eyes drifted to the mare and seemed to blink awake as though he was noticing her for the first time. What did she want? Help? Help for what? He looked about wondering just who she was speaking to, she couldn't be speaking to him right? They weren't family, they didn't matter to each other, right? Of course right!
Kanati started to turn away, but rather it was deep down guilt was stirring or a spirit really was whispering in his ear, he couldn't look away.
"Hmm?" Kanati mumbled walking up to the female to look at her better. He stared at the hoof that was being held weird. "You're hurt?" It was rather obvious that she was, but Kanati was trying to understand what to do for her. Did she have family he should fetch for her or should he try his healing powers, he never had reason to use them before, he wasn't so sure they would work.
Hope lit up her eyes as he turned towards her. It seemed like he had just noticed her when she spoke. Perhaps she had been assuming to much earlier thinking that he had purposefully ignored her. While it wasn't that much better being overlooked was nicer then being shunned. Still the hope was short lived as he moved to turn away from her.
She imagined a little butterfly being crushed. It seemed fitting at the moment. She looked away from him for the moment feeling rather stupid for even thinking to ask for assistance. Then she heard him moving. It was assumed that he was leaving except that the sound was drawing near and not fading away.
Hearing his voice she looked back and couldn't help but smile gratefully. He hadn't left. "Yes...I slipped when crossing the river." She said slowly. He hadn't asked for an explanation but she felt he probably deserved to know what had happened.

Kanati mumbled to the spirits he thought he heard and looked at her leg. The spirits seemed to agree that he should help her in some way, but could he use his powers?
"Is....is...there family you want me to get for you?.......Or is it ok if I try and help you?" Kanati's voice faded in and out from deep to timid. He wasn't used to talking with other soquili and his experience so far with those not in his family had not been a pleasant experience. They had mocked him for the way he attacked would she do the same if he tried to heal her?
A single brow raised in slight confusion at his mutterings. She couldn't understand a word he was saying and she wasn't even sure it was her he was speaking to. For a moment she wondered if she should be worried for herself and possibly his sanity. When he began to speak to her she found herself blinking a few times for a multitude.
Having her family mentioned being the first. No, there was no real family for him to get. She had left them all behind. Not that they would have come even if asked. They probably wouldn't come to her aid even if begged. The second was the way his voice kept changing like he was scared of her or something. This she couldn't wrap her mind around. She was lying on the ground, injured and clearly had nothing to defend herself with. He seemed alright and had a rather sharp looking horn.
After a long silence she shook her head slowly. "Don't bother with my family...but...if you can...please help me?" How exactly he planned to help her was a mystery to her like so many things in the world.
Kanati stepped back one as the mare looked at him in silence. Had he said something wrong? Did she think he was crazy like the rest of them? He was starting to regret having talked to her, but it seemed like the right thing to do.
"Don't bother......with family?" Kanati did not understand what she meant by that. How could one not bother with family if they had it. Right? "I can help you....I hope.....,but what do you mean don't bother with family?.....My...name is Kanati, by the way."
Kanati stepped so that he was now leaning over the mare. He closed his eyes trying to remember how his mother had healed him before. Kanati took a deep breath before leaning his head down. His horn tip touched the injured leg, feeling cold at first, but it seemed to warm up quickly.
".......Sp...Spirits of the earth and sky grant me the power to heal this mare of her pain." Kanati could feel the healing power surge from him to the mare. Opening his eyes he gave Lycoris a curious look, he had felt something, but had it worked? ".....Well?"
She gave her head another shake to confirm. “Right. Don’t bother thinking about it.” He was confused about them, she could tell, but she did not want to trouble him with further information. It was not the time or place for such conversation.
Moving on to other things. Important things. Like that he ‘hoped’ he could help her. That worried her a considerable amount. The way he had said it sounded like he wasn’t sure he could help her at all. “I’m Lycoris.” She said with a gulp not answering his question. As far as she was concerned the subject was painful and did not need to be spoken about.
When he approached her and lowered his horn to her leg her eyes went wide with panic. Never having met a unicorn before she had no idea what their powers were. When he began speaking to the spirits her eyebrows shot up. What exactly was he doing? Then warmth began to spread from his horn to her leg.
Lycoris blinked a few times as the feeling subsided. Well? She looked at her leg and moved it experimentally. There was a little pain but it felt more like it was simply a little sore now. “You...! It...it doesn’t hurt anymore.” She said looking at him feeling rather confused. When she had asked for help she hadn’t quite imagined this. She was curious how exactly he had accomplished this amazing feat and as she slowly stood she voiced this curiosity. “The...spirits?”
How could she dismiss family so easily? What could cause someone to feel that way about the only ones who could ever really care for you? Or was there more to it? Had she lost her family like he had? Either way Kanati could tell that she wasn't about to talk to him about it. And why should she?
"You don't know about spirits?" Kanati choked staying at her. He wanted to walk away from her then and there. What use was a non believer to him? One who had forgotten the ways of the world was as bad a forest fire. Still, something held him in his place. Closing his eyes, he thought about rather to walk away or say anything more.
"There are many spirits, spirits of the earth, spirits of the sky, spirits of the sea, even evil spirits or sgina. There are also gods, creators of this world and bringer's of the harvest. Long ago the god's found it fit to grant the unicorns like myself with the power to heal, just as the granted the winds with wings to fly. You have them to thank for your healing, not me so I'll be on my way. Good bye Lycoris....it was an...interesting meeting." With that Kanati turned and walked away feeling a little different or odd after the whole encounter.
Kanati remembered how it really didn’t seem significant at the time, but it would be the first of many like encounter. Slowly he had come out of his complete obsession with the spirits. He payed more and more attention to the soquili around him. Kanati took time to greet each he saw and learned all he could of each breed. One could almost say he had traded one obsession for another and yet, Kanati never forgot the spirits and Gods. Though it did feel like he had woken up from a long sleep and his eyes had been opened to what the earth, sky, and sea was really about, life.
Kanati’s memories had now come to the years he had dubbed “The years of Kawani.”. Before this time he had never encountered humans, though he knew of them. Soquili seemed to have many different opinions from hate to bonds with the strange human creatures. Perhaps it was the many variations in opinions that drove him to seek them out. He would hear the drum beats for the very first time and finally understand how communications and bonds transcends all shapes and sizes. Kanati would learn there was more to conversing with the creatures, spirits, and gods then listening and replying.
A cool breeze floated over the grasses of the clearing, Kanati kept alert unsure of what he might find. “Head Southwest from here and you’ll see the two-legs.” And older soquili had instructed him. What odd descriptions he had to form images of humans in his mind. “They walk up right on their back legs, were peltless almost all over save the top of their head. They wore the pelts of animals and lived in tiny mountain peaks. They possessed small to large wooden things, that they hit to make thunder and could not speak the same Langue as the animals of the world. Were these creatures as freakish as he imagined? And were they kind or evil?
It wasn’t long before he heard a low thunder, and yet it sounded nothing like thunder at all. Kanati climbed another hill and stared in awe over what her saw. Mini mountain peaks cluttered the land in front of him, at once her saw much hustle and bustle between them. Soquili and the strange two leg alike moved together in what seemed like a herd, how could they be evil then, if they could act like a herd? A large fire was lite just outside of the camp, at first he was worried, but the fire never spread. Could they control the fire spirits, no that’s impossible...right? Kanati wanted to see more, he wanted to go closer, but a slight twinge of fear held him to his place.
“Nvwadohiyadv gvdodi nihi.” A trembling old voice said not to far to the right of Kanati. Thought Kanati did not understand at the time he would soon learn from the soquili elders of the village that it meant “Peace be with you.”
Kanati about jumped out of his pelt as he spun to face the direction the sound had come from. Sitting on the ground not to far away was he two leg hunched over what seemed to be an unfinished soquili basket. Her skin was not the same as the other humans, it had wrinkles in it and he face seem very weathered yet kind.
The old lady know as Talutsa Tsuola-tsisqua or Basket Weaverbird gave a dry, but mirthful laugh at the soquili’s reaction. She stared at him for a moment before slowly getting to her feet and dusting off her clothes. Tsisqua grabbed a finished basket and the one not yet done and start towards Kanati.
Kanati was not sure how he should react, she hardly seemed like a threat, but what did she want from him? And just what had she said earlier?
“You look like a good soquili, will you help this old basket weaver?” Tsisqua said in her native tongue holding out the finished basket.
Kanati did not understand her, but as he stared into her eyes, he felt as though he could. Taking the basket in his gently in his mouth he watched the old human slowly make her way to the village. She looked as though she could fall at any time, which cause him to walk a long side her. The walk seemed to take a long time, but it felt as though time stood still around them. The sun was the only thing that seemed to move at regular speed, disappearing leaving them to the light of the stars and the large flame that danced just outside of the village. They went into the grouping of teepee till they reached one painted with baskets and soquili, she placed the unfinished basket in the teepee and turned to take the other from Kanati.
“You are a good soquili, let Tsisqua give you something for all your troubles.” The old basket weaver went deeper into the teepee and brought with her an apple and a soft flat yellow stone. She offered them to Kanati looking very grateful to have had his little bit of help.
Kanati quickly accepted the apple, but the yellow thing he wasn’t so sure about. As if the old human had understood she broke a piece of corn bread off and ate it to show him it was safe. Curiosity got the best of Kanati and he bite into the bread, to his surprise and pleasure it was delicious.
Satisfied from Kanati’s happiness, Tsisqua motioned for him to follow again. Tonight was one of the many nights the Kawani villiage payed homage to the spirits and gods and she hoped Kanati would share in it with them.
Kanati followed her to a circle surrounding the fire. The drums began to beat and human dancers in costumes began to dance to the rhythm. One was dressing as a hawk, another a bear, and even one as a soquili. Chants rose with the smoke of the fire high into the sky and the energy surrounding was almost electric.
No surely Kanati would never forget his time spent among the humans. It was filled with some of the most spiritual time he would experience. From the dancing humans to the shamans and Chief Kanati tried to spend time with them all. The soquili elders of the village thought him many thing, including how to really be in touch with nature and its spirits. Sometimes he wondered why he had ever left there, but he never regretted having done it. He would never have been able to meet Unesdala or Starshine.
“Mommy?!!!!!!!!!! Daddy?! Where are you?!!! WHY DID I RUN OFF?” A little blue foal screamed in the dead of night. After a fight with his father he had run off, and kept running for days, but now on the fourth day gone to night fall Unesdala Ale Vtsi was freaking out.
Kanati followed the frantic screams till he came upon a blue wind foal with flames around his hooves. He took a step closer and tilted his head to listen to the foal between it’s tears. “What’s wrong little one? Where is your mother and father?” Unesdala sniffled and turned his head towards Kanati. “I don’t know where they are. I’ve tried to remember, but I can’t. I can’t even remember what it looked like where I lived.” Unesdala sniffled. “Hey mister I’m not suppose to talk to strangers....so my name is Unesdala ale Vtsi, what’s your’s” Unesdala said getting to his feet to stare at Kanati.
“My name is Kanati.....maybe I ....could take care of you and help you find them?” Kanati suggested he couldn’t stand to think of a foal being all by himself. He was surprised that the parents had let the foal get away.
Unesdala seemed to perk up a bit fluttering his wings. “Really......bet you’ll be a better dad then my real dad anyways.” Unesdala smiled though it still seemed full of grief. Unesdala started to walk a bit. “I’m sleepy....”
Kanati smiled, but then took a double take. “Wait, father?” Kanati blinked before walking a bit. “I’ve got a shelter not far from here.” Some how or another Kanati had become a Step Father.
It was sort of crazy to think about now. Kanati had intended to help find Unesdala’s parents, but he ended up raising him on his own. Unesdala in every way was like a son to Kanati, but it wasn’t long before Unesdala grew and Kanati was alone again. Ah, but that’s when he met Starshine, Starshine was so beautiful and willing to learn. He was happly life mated to her and the had had foals, who had grown. His Son Viscoso, had also had foals who were all grown. Now here Kanati stood as a Grandfather, remembering the past and feeling like there were many things he wanted to do. Where would the path for Kanati and Starshine lead next? Only the gods and spirits knew.

Skinwalker Fan FicBecause I am so obsessed about the Skinwalkers from Soquilli. Ive decided to write a short self rp about it. None of this has happened in the real rp its just me day dreaming and being stupid. ((To under stand this story more click the skinwalkers link read that and then also head to my teepee within that guild to find out whom the charecters named are)) Note: Some of the words are in cherokee, but I dont know sentence structure nor can I find a translation for everyword I want to use, but I always like for spirits to talk in Cherokee so the sentences are mixed with english and Cherokee please forgive me for it being so taky but there you go Oyohusa looked over the Kawani villiage with disgust. The Kawani villiage was full of happiness and good will. If Oyohusa could not be happy why should anyone else. The villiage had been happy for far too long as much as Oyohusa was concerned. It was high time someone put an end to the village's merriment and unity. How though would Oyohusa best go about this? He could easily kill everyone in the villiage, but there is no long term suffering from this punisment. The wind blew slightly reminding Oyohusa of the pelt or other skin that lay upon him. The voice that haunted and controled him crept into his mind once more. " Nahdvga nasgi atsidihi, curse them instead. For to be killed navi sidanelvhi is siwu ehisdv."((Do not kill, curse them instead. For to be killed by family is more painful)) Oyohusa grinned at the thought the sigina((bad spirit)) had given him. It was perfect. Not only would some lucky souls get to feel his pain, but others would get to see there love ones transform into mindless beast of bloodlust right before there eyes. Then watch in horror in turn as their loved ones turned in rage to devour them. As the sun would rise so would the crys from the people both cursed and the survivors. The chief if not cursed himself would have to run thoses cursed out of his villiage and through a series of spread apart attacks would Oyohusa rein over this once happ land which he will turn into a place of darkness and death. Oyohusa turned his eyes a blazed and his blood staned teeth flashing as he headed to the forest to wait for night fall. Another wind blew over the grounds towards the fields where Kanati lay with his love Starshine. Nothing more then enjoying the peaceful day layed before them. Then wind blew swiftly through the grasses almost unatural in its movement. It stopped when it reached Kanati and Starshine whipped around them not to be ignored as it felt like a hand had lituraly grabbed Kanati's mane and yanked it. Standing swiftly he perked his ears with a shoked look marked on his face. "Kanati, what is it?" Starshine asked startled from his quick movement."Im not sure, but something is wrong." Kanati said waiting on what ever message it was that he should hear."Sigina sigina sigina sigina sigina, limikkin, sigina!!!!!Kanati could not understand one of the words the spirit had spoken. He understood sigina which meant bad spirit, but Limikkin he did not understand. Kanati had not heard this voice before either. It was as if it were from another land, for it was not new its voice was to strong to be a new spirit.Starshine was also able to hear the words of the spirit and spoke soon after. "What about a bad spirit...... and what is a Limikkin?""I dont know, but this spirit is upset. I also think it may be from another land." Kanati spoke unsure of himself and the spirit, wondering if this spirits intentions were pure. How had it known that Kanati listened to the spirits. This was all to weird of conditions, but whatever it was Kanati understood that no good could come of it. The spirit then spoke what Kanati could only explain as jebberish, only understanding sigina. The spirit suddenly stopped knowing it wasnt getting any where and it seemingly left. Though it stayed near by.The sun was setting over the quite peaceful land. As Oyohusa emerged from his hidding place in the forrest over looking the Kawani villiage. He turned head towards the setting sun before looking down to watch his secound pelt begain to swallow him as the darkness was swallowing the land itself. His bones cracked as his body shifted to its new form. His bloodlust growing stronger by the secound. It was time to send the villiage of Kawani into its wails of fear and tears. It was time to curse this land and its once peaceful richs. Oyohusa made his way towards the villiage as soon as his transformation was complete. Kanati lay peacefully with Starshine as watching the sun leave the sky. He thought about the spirit and how strange it had acted, but everything felt peaceful enough now.The wind blew once more around Kanati and Starshine. Violently it blew and fast it moved as the sun was closer to leaving the sky compeltly. "Nu'la nu'la nu'la!!!" The spirit shouted before flying fowards cutting through the grass. ((come)) "It wants us to follow it!!" Starshine shouted jumping to her feet and galloping after the spirit.Kanati shook his head for a moment before galloping after Starshine.
The spirit cut through the grasses at a high speed it whipped through the trees leading the two on a high speed chase through a maze of obticals. Out of the forrest and into the clearing towards the Kawani villiage. As the got closer to the villiage Kanati saw something with a wolf like flaire approaching the villiage in a lurk like manner. Everyone in the villiage had already turned in for the night save the weary cheif that stood over looking the direction in which Kanati and Starshine were comming from. Kanati wondered if that wolf like creature was someone's familiar, but there was something about it that striked Kanati as out of place.Starshine stopped close to infront of the chief. "Its gone?" She turned to look at the on comming Kanati. "Its taken us where it wants us, now, to figure out what it was that, was bothering our spirit friend." Kanati said walking over to the chief."Oh Greeting and welcome to you again Kanati." Tawadi the cheif of Kawani. "Oh my friend I grow weary of this resonsibilty and am eager of the day it shall be passed to my son. ....What bring you hear on this night.....you seem troubled." Just then the scream of the princess soquilli was heard stealing the land of its quite view. Cheif Tawadi turned in a hast to make it towards his daughters teepee to veiw the sence of a ravaged Mesarthim the daughter's horse. "What...happened?" he whispered to himself trying to be a calm figure for his paniced dumfounded people.Kanati and Starshine followed the cheif a gore filled their eyes and a fear their minds."A...rabid wolf?" Starshine asked unsure."A spirit wouldnt bring us here for a rabid wolf this is on a darker plain, and Im afraid it out breachs my knowledge of this world and its inhabitence." Kanati replied a serious look plasted on his face as even he was frightened for his own life for the very first time.

Unfinished Rp that was started my personal guild ((was supposed to be in Kanati Memories but wasn't finished . thank to Volley though for trying ^^ ))
Kanati remembered stretching in his teepee, the early morning smells coming through the opening they had tried to cover with a two leg blanket during the winter. He stood noting that Starshine had awoken before him to head out for a run. Moving outside his teepee he smiled at the beautiful day before closing his eyes. Kanati's ears stayed perked for any sound or sign of what today would be like.
"I pray to the gods and spirits let all days be this lovely." Kanati spoke aloud in his deep almost echoing voice.
Viscoso had made this same journey some time ago when his children were still small but to no avail. No one had been home and he couldn't wait around all day since he needed to be back home to the rest of his family. He had meant to try again sooner but had just never gotten around to it until now. It was obvious his only daughter was happy to be by his side again, knowing she didn't take too well to being on her own. But she stayed silent on the trip, her eyes open and aware for anything the dared to jump out and spook her. Which could very easily be a leaf.
Nearing their destination, the teepee came into view and he saw the regal stallion he'd looked up to for so long standing outside. With a smile, he continued down, not needing to call out since he knew his father would be able to feel his presence.
A wider smile graced Kanati's lips as the feelings of the earth changed. The spirits speaking in their own way to let Kanati know of the new presence in the forest. The wind brought the scent to his nostrils and he breathed deep to know the smell again. It was familiar and yet distant, thought pleasant just the same.
"Nvwadohiyadv gvdodi nihi uwetsi." Kanati spoke his traditional greeting meaning Peace be with you my son. He turned himself to face the direction Viscoso was coming from. Only then had he realized there was another with his son. At firs he thought it might be Viscoso's mate, but no this young one with the timid aura must be one of his grandchildren.
"And who might you have with you, Viscoso?" Kanati asked slowly walking towards them so happy to see his son again and excited to meet his grandchild.
Viscoso smiled and nuzzled his father in greeting and turned to look at his daughter. "Your one and only grandaughter. Well hopefully you'll have another someday." With a chuckle he winked at Kanati and then circled back to nudged Lina forward more, almost as if she was a small foal again. She always reverted back to her shyness in the presences of strangers.
Adalina was shy around strangers but this one in particular mostly just because of his presence. He was large, larger than her own father and despite the kind look on his face she couldn't help but be afraid a little. Even if he was family. "A-A" Her mouth shut smartly at her stuttering and she waited until she thought she could speak smoothly before trying again. "Adalina. Lina for sh-short." When her father stepped up beside her she buried her head against him, while keeping one eye on her grandfather.
Kanati enjoyed embracing his son again, he wished they could be together every day, but it was better that Viscoso could have time alone with his mate. He turned his head to Lina and took her presence in. It was timid like a creek or spring's gentle winds, but he could tell that she had another side deeper down.
"My only Granddaughter? She is very special indeed then." Kanati chuckled trying to shake the echo and depth from it, which wasn't easy. " I should say I want to see more, Viscoso. Many, many Grandchildren would make me more happy then the spring spirits." Kanati joked with his son one to many it didn't matter each was a blessing all to their own.
"Adalina is a very pretty name, but I will call you by which ever you would prefer. It's wonderful to finally meet you." Kanati said the smile fading slightly though not turning to any frown. He was thinking of the time he had missed with his Grandchildren, he had not gotten to see them as foals and still yet to have seen his Grandson..or Grandsons as the case could be. He hadn't known where to find them, but perhaps he should have spent time looking. No, the time had been spent helping two legs and soquili a like. It would have been wrong of him to spend time aimlessly wandering to find his own flesh and blood when others needed help. "I trust the spirits have been treating you bother well?" Kanati spoke at last trying to break his chain of thought.
Viscoso laughed and shook his head. "You cannot rush these things father but I'm sure we'll discuss it soon since our first three have long since left and living their own lives. Who knows, someone might make you a great grandfather soon, hmmm?" He gave his daughter a look with a smirk, hoping this little chat would help her ease up a bit.
Lina gaped at him and started babbling incoherent things before finally making some sense. "I'm doing no such thing!" Her face turned red at the mention of Heph but she still shook her head denying everything he was saying. "I don't plan to have babies now or anytime soon, thank you very much." She turned her head from him to get her composure back and stop her face from turning bright red. Though at least he didn't call him her 'boy toy' as Amitola did.
"Ah yes well, sometimes with love, things happen by accident." He shrugged as if that was the way things were even as she gaped at him more though now she had offically lost her words. "We've all been fine. We see the boys around every once in a while so from what I know, they're fine as well. How've you and mother been? It's been sometime since she's been around."
Kanati watched the banter and simply fell in to laughter. He nudged Viscoso, but still didn't stop laughing quite yet.
"Take your time Lina, I don't need to feel any older than I already do." Kanati backed up a bit to look at them both again. Sometimes it was hard to even imagine that they were related by blood, they looked so different.
"So Lina, has your father taken the time out of his foal making attempts to teach you properly." Kanati said eyeing Viscoso.
Viscoso rolled his eyes and snorted at his father. "You act as if that's all I do. I have to eat and sleep too." He grinned and looked to his daughter. All his children looked more like Krysta to him. Tsubasa got her colors, Amitola got more of his father's colors but not much. And Lina just didn't look like either of them. Though she reminded him a lot of his own mother with lighter colors.
Lina tilted her head at Kanati and glanced at her father. "Teach? Well he taught me stuff when my brothers and I came out of our baskets. Like wildlife and plants and stuff. I don't know what other teaching you would be talking about besides that."
"Ah, I was never the teacher you are, father. I taught them basics as a father should but otherwise I don't think I would know how to properly teach them all the things you know." He honestly didn't think he was as in tune with nature as his father and whether that was true or not, couldn't say it to his father's face.
Viscoso looked away for a moment, knowing he'd disappointed his father in that area. In the few lessons he'd had not much had stuck with him over the years and he was ashamed for it because he knew that was what his father valued most. Besides family. "I'm sorry. I don't know what else to say besides that except that I probably should have tried harder. Because I wasn't great at learning about that stuff I guess I felt like a failure as your only son. I did retain some of it though, it's how I connected with Krysta since she's very in tune with nature too. But maybe I wasn't worried about teaching my kids about certain things because I knew they would learn a lot of important things out on their own by making their own choices and mistakes." He looked to Lina, who tilted her head at the strange turn of conversation but smiled and rested her head on his neck like always. "Whatever I did, I did something right. If you would like to teach her or any of your grandchildren, it's up to them. Honestly I think Amitola is too worried about himself and mares," he explained as he rolled his eyes.
Lina giggled at the thought of Amitola. "I wouldn't mind learning some things grandpa. I know mother feels nature and...what they're feeling?" She looked to Vis for conformation and he nodded. "I don't think I could be able to do that but learning more about the things around me would be nice and maybe fun too."
