As some of you may know, they are making a Red Dwarf movie to celebrate the 20th aniversary of the series. It is supposed to be released in April 2009, so sit back, pass out the Curry and Vindaloos and prepare for the best smeggin' movie of this century! Below are two different links containing information on it. Wikipedia InformationRed Dwarf Official Website

It's not really a movie as much as a three-episode special event. It released on April 10th, (which is also my birthday!!) and runs for that whole weekend.

I'm stupidly excited about this event!
I mean - all we've had is Craig Charles in Corrie, Robert Llwellyn in Scrapheap Challenge and Danny John Jules getting nicked for assaulting a bin man lol
Can't wait for next week!!!

Like someone said, it's not a movie, and we do actually have a thread about this already.
I'm damn glad Kochanski's not in it. She's awful. >.<
Actually, I liked Clare, but not Chloe, and the re-introduction of Kochanski in series' 7 and 8 just didn't work.
They're going to coronation street! xDD That's so frickin' sweet, I'm gonna be glued to Dave this weekend.

I have watched all three episodes this weekend (downloaded of course, since I'm in the US), and they were great! Nice ending twist.

I don't think it was, to be honest. I think that's something they just added in to make it funny.
As for the episodes... First episode was rather dull, I wasn't impressed to be honest. I really noticed the absence of the laughter track, and it all seemed rather awkward. Second episode picked up, as the story got more interesting, and I want that starbug car! Third episode was also better, but I wish they hadn't of done the squid thing again.
Overall, it was pretty damn good. Of course, it was never going to be as good as the original episodes, but not a bad attempt at bringing it back.

I agree, the absense of a laugh track did detract from the enjoyment experience. Still, I thought it was quite good overall!

I fianly managed to watch the new episodes. I got a few good laughs.
It is a pretty nice ending even though I would have liked to see what happened after that cliff hanger in season eight.

Well, my pre-ordered copy arrived in the mail today! Haven't had a chance to look at it, aside from opening the thing and actually looking at it, though.
