March 28th

Out in the night, Vlisida lurked in the shadows, looking mostly for company since it hadn't been too long ago when she last fed. She sat down beneath a tree, finding no one she found interesting enough to approach at the moment.

Vlad was stretched out on the branch of a tree, digging into the bark with a claw, silently reminiscing. His ears perked, and he growled slightly, as sensed someone near.

Upon hearing the growl, Vlisida looked up to spot a familiar face of someone who was essentially still a stranger. "Hello again," she said politely to the other vampire with a little wave and smile.

Vlad let out a deep grunt, "Hello."

"How have you been?" Vlisida asked. She was a little more starved for conversation than she liked to be, though she kept this desire out of her body language and tone of voice. Sounding eager was the last thing she wanted to do, regardless of the company.

Vladimir's ears flopped, "Decent." He stared at her, looking her up and down, "And you, pretty lady?"

Vlisida smiled at the compliment, saying, "I've been fairly good. Though things haven't been terribly interesting lately." She thought that the advent of Spring might make things more interesting, though so far it's been the same old same old for her.

Vlad sighed, letting his tail swing over the edge of the branch, "I'm afraid to say, this conversation is the most interesting thing I've encountered in at least a month."

"Really? Wow," replied Vlisida, though her situation wasn't much better. "Same here, unless you count a new namir joining the house interesting, which I don't. Or at least not that new namir." She shrugged. "Maybe luck will shine on us and send something interesting our way?"

Vlad feigned interest, and yawned, jumping down from the branch, "Lets do something, pretty lady...kill things...maim innocent civilians...whatever."

"Okay, sounds fun," Vlisida replied, eager for excitement. She really wasn't too much of a destruction type of vampire, but that didn't mean she couldn't have some fun every once in a while. "So which way shall we go?"

Vlad yawned, "I don't care. Lead the way."

"Alright..." she looked around before picking a direction, lurking in the shadows mostly out of habit than the desire for secrecy. She wondered what they would find in their little outing.

Sighing boredly, Vladimir followed her, watching her carefully.

Moves gracefully and soundlessly through the shadows, looking around for a target.

Not too far from where they walked, a clumsy, stupid little pachirisumir hopped around, sticking out because of his bright colors.

Vlad looked over to Vlisida, wondering what she would do.

Vlisida's ears perked at the easy target. She thought that giving him a little scare at least would be fun, so she started approaching him in secret.

Chiipa just sat there, preening himself.

Vlad followed Vlisida, getting lower to the ground, and more silent then usual.

Vlisida found herself nicely in the shadows somewhat in front of Chiipa's field of vision, and let her eyes reflect the moonlight, creating a creepy, strange glowing eyes effect while keeping herself completely concealed with a bush.

Vlad smirked, quietly climbing up a tree and hiding amongst the branches. He made sure to make a little noise, to startle Chiipa.

Chiipa blinked at the noise, looking around. He then spotted the glow from the bush, and let out a slight shriek.

Vlisida smirked as well at the shriek let out by the Pokémir, and wondered what to do next. Using her knowledge of shadows, she slowly emerged a little, exposing only a shadowed face and letting her fangs reflect some in the moonlight. They didn't reflect nearly as well as the eyes, but they were at least a little noticeable.

Vlad chuckled darkly, surprised at Vlisida's amount of knowledge.

Chiipa backed away from the bush, his cheeks sparkling slightly.

Familiar with the lightning, Vlisida knew not to push it too far. She was definitely going to stick to just spooking him. Still, she altered her body language to display a dark and even dangerous "aura" and slowly emerged from the shadows, fast enough to make the danger seem urgent, yet slow enough that he felt he could run away.

Chiipa's sparks grew larger, still backing away. Though his cheeks said that he was ready to fight, his whole demeanor was otherwise, a terrified one.

She locked eyes with him, still exuding that dark and dangerous outlook as she slowly approached, and sent him a look that seemed to say 'better run away...or else' to anyone who cared to read the expression.

Chiipa let out a pathetic whine, and then decided to run, his tail bobbing after him.

In the tree, Vlad cackled sadistically.

Vlisida smiled brightly, having found that little incident very fun.She looked back at Vlad after Chiipa was long gone and said, "Oooh, it's been too long since I've had this much fun! I love scaring namrah."

Vlad smirked, looking down to Vlisida, "Indeed, I do too."

Vlisida nodded. "And it's so peaceful around here in a way we're doing them a favor. Without namrah like us they'd take this peace entirely for granted." She thought that this would be true regardless of whether or not she scares a few namrah, but maybe it helped a little bit. And if it didn't, at least it was a great amount of fun for her.

Vlad nodded, "Exactly." He yawned, stretching in the branch, "I must say, pretty lady, you impressed me."

"I did?" She said, unused to getting praise. Most of the time those she talked to either never got to see that part of her or were on the recieving end of it.

Vlad nodded, "Yeah...for a while there I thought you were useless."

"Ah...well, that's understandable. I'm not a very strong or powerful vampire," Vlisida admitted, "So there's no way of telling what I can do." It seemed a sort of compliment to be taken as useless at first. It means that she could catch another vampire off guard if they underestimated her. Though that advantage only worked for a little while, until they could overpower her.

"I've met those who appear useless and then they've surprised me to no end." He smirked, "My son, looked useless, because he never used his power...and then, it turns out, he is quite powerful. But without using them, he is, indeed, useless."

Vlisida tilted her head at the mention of his son. "He doesn't use his powers?" She asked. She couldn't see why a powerful vampire would let his powers go to waste like that. If you have powers they should be used, not ignored. It's like getting a gift and never opening it. It's probably a bit insulting ot the one who gave you the gift in the first place.

Vlad nodded, and then shrugged, "Who knows...I think it's his pansy of a fiance...softened him up too much."

"Oooh...alright. Well, I guess the term is 'settling down', even if I can't see myself doing the same," She replied. Even in the face of love, Vlisida would get bored of never acting like the vampire she was.

Vlad poked at the bark again, "I was afraid he'd be too powerful when he was born, so I abandoned him...I didn't want him hurting his mother or his siblings..." He shrugged, "I didn't just leave him out in the cold, I let someone else just as powerful keep him...I suppose it's for the best, though..."

Vlisida nodded in understanding, and asked, "Well, he's happy, right? As long as he's happy I suppose it's alright?" She wasn't sure what his take on this was, but if she was a mother she would want her children to be happy. Might just be feminine sentiments though, a sign of weakness. She hoped it wasn't. She hoped that wishing happiness for her future children was alright.

Vlad shrugged, "I guess so. I don't see him much." He let out a slight chuckle, "He hates me and his mother. I don't care about her, though. She left after the kids were adults. Doesn't matter at all to me."

"Why did she leave? What kind of mother leaves her children like that?" Vlisida responded, finding the idea just sad. She knew that the questions she asked were pointless and mostly rhetorical, but they came out anyways. She hoped he didn't mind.

He shrugged, "I just woke up and she wasn't there."

"Strange..." She wondered what could have driven a mother from her children and mate besides just irresponsibility and bad parenting. "Well, you did the best you could in raising your children. It probably takes a lot of work raising kids on your own...."

Vlad shrugged, "They were already adults, so they were low maintenance...but...they all kind of disappeared with her, except Sven...I saw him around, but the others, I have no idea where they went. "

"Oh, I know someone like that...she's at the place I live. Her mate disappeared after her kids grew up and the only one she sees anymore is Maiya." She wondered if this was a common situation in Namiah.

Vlad sighed, "I suppose it's a bit unfortunate...but if they leave, then that's their problem, not ours. They weren't worth anything to begin with."

"True..." she commented, thinking that if they left then they weren't worth very much at all. Still, it was an unfortunate case. "I just hope that if the ones who've had this happen to them move on their mates don't come back making a fuss for something that's their fault."

Vlad sighed, "That'd be extremely annoying..." His tail flicked a bit irritatedly.

Vlisida nodded. "Yeah." She decided the topic was too depressing and searched for a new one. "So how long have you been in Namiah? I've only been here since around last Halloween."

Vlad shrugged, "I don't know." He poked at the bark again, "More than a year."

"Ah, okay," Vlisida said. She tried to think of something along those lines that would work for conversation but failed. Thus, she turned to something else. "So what is your name? You don't have to tell me, I'm just curious."

Vladimir blinked, "My name?" He stared at her for a moment, "Vladimir. Whats your name, pretty lady?"

"My name is Vlisida. It is a pleasure to meet you, Vladimir," she said with a smile on her face.

Vlad smirked, "Vlisida, hm? What a lovely name."

"Thank you. Your name is very nice as well," She replied. It seemed strong, and it had equally strong vampiric roots from what she knew. Though she could be wrong.

"Thank you, pretty lady." He said, his tail flicking about. "Let's go on a walk, shall we?"

"I would love to," said Vlisida. "It's a lovely night to go for a walk."

Vlad jumped down from the branch, and looked up to the stars, "It is, isn't it."

Vlisida nodded, also glancing up at the stars, "Yes, it is." She was going to miss the cooler temperatures when Summer hit, but the warmth of Spring was rather nice for the time being.

Vlad sighed, "Aren't the warmer months wonderful? The snow is so sickening to hunt in, and everything is so sluggish because of hibernation...you never get a good chase."

"I've never actually hunted out in the wamer months before actually," Vlisida commented. "The warmth does seem nice though. I just hope it doesn't get too hot during the Summer though. That'll interfere in getting a good chase too, I imagine."

Vlad nodded, "I suppose. But if it is too hot, the prey will become sluggish sooner..."

"Which would make the prey easier to catch," Vlisida admitted. She didn't mind easy catches, but she hoped that hard ones would help make her stronger.

Vlad shrugged, "Yeah, but, you win some, you lose some."

"Just like life," Vlisida said with a little laugh. It was such a common and true expression she just had to say it. There wasn't any teasing behind the statement though, it was just a true observation.

Vlad yawned, "Exactly."

"And without the losses, the victories wouldn't taste as sweet," she finished, her train of thought on this topic over. "If I'm boring you please let me know. I have a tendency to talk too much on occasion." She finished that statement with a smile.

Vlad nodded, and shook his head, "No...excitement, it's tiring when you haven't had it."

"Ah, that makes sense. Kind of like eating too much after you have to go without it for a while, right?" She wasn't sure if the human rule held up in the vampire realm of references, but she hoped he understood as well as she understood his reason.

Vlad thought, and then nodded, "Yes, something like that."

Vlisida smiled and nodded, glad the example made sense. "Well, even if it makes you tired, at least it was a very nice night." She had a lot of fun, and felt that he had too.

Vlad nodded. This was actually the most fun he'd had in a while. He'd now realized that living all alone wasn't all that it was cracked up to be.

"Maybe we could do this again sometime?" Vlisida said. Neither of them had a lot of excitement, and the most logical solution is to get together and have a bit of fun if they can't seem to find it alone. Her only qualm is that the invitation sounded suspiciously like a date.

Vlad's ears perked, the question catching him off gaurd, though he figured it was completely innocent and smiled, "Sure. I could always use some excitement."

"Same here," she said, thinking that one almost-date line was enough, mentally biting back a 'looking forward to it'. He seemed to have taken it the way she intended, and she hardly needed to tilt it the wrong way.

Vlad smirked, "I'm looking forward to it." He yawned, looking up to the sky, "My, time passes so quickly."

Vlisida looked up as well, "Yes, right you are." She looked back at him and smiled, "I should probably start heading home now. Hope to see you soon!" With that and a little wave she started her way back home, pausing for a moment before starting to head to give him to say goodbye face to face.

Vladimir nodded, "As should I." And then bowed, "Farewell, pretty lady Vlisida." With that, he slinked off, into the shadows.
