To be honest, fetishes are very rarely documented well enough to pinpoint the first occurrence. I can only assume that it's either as ancient as human sexuality (notice I said human sexuality, as our sex drive differs greatly from traditional evolutionary imperative), or is a product of our modern/post-modern world.
Of course, stories of giants and giantesses go back very far in time. The Babylonians had Tiamat, the Norse had the Frost Giants, and numerous other examples exist. However, their stature was not portrayed erotically at all. It was more a symbol of power than sex.
There's little doubt that one major feature of macrophilia is an attraction to power. Large size is a very literal manifestation of power, after all. How many stories exist of cruel giantesses destroying cities, continents, even planets? It all comes down to power, as I said. I think that the attraction to power is very old, so perhaps macrophilia is as well.

that sounds fair they tell stories of giants and they have that destructive power my question is were they real i mean dose some one get out of bed and pull a giant human story out of there a** or did they really excist?

Well, as a Christian, I do believe in the story of David and Goliath. The measurements depicted, when converted to modern-day units, would put Goliath at nine to ten feet tall. Not really a macro like we'd think, but definitely pretty big. Most historians believe that Neanderthals would have been about that size.

lol same here! but, well said XD. I've actually had this talk with so many people (alot of my friends have fetishes and are open to conversation) so, I'm not the weird one for having a fetish for giants or tiny women, or feet, cuz trust me, Ive heard weirder by far XD like dirty diapers, pink socks, long fingernails. . . .ok I'll stop now XD

After all, have we not come under judgment ourselves? We could easily be considered a fringe subculture, and thus should probably be a little more tolerant of other fringe subcultures.

So I do believe you're partially correct. However, I never had any attraction to feet, until I stumbled onto an online GTS site that had a healthy amount of foot-based stories and art. Paraphilias (sexual fetishes) can be developed, too.

ya it is hard to really explain but if it was genetic i wonder what side it would come from the mothers or the fathers side. this is just me with my family but i think it would of come from my mothers side of the famliy they r all crazy not saying a fetish is crazy or any thing but i did know my mom had a butt fetish.
