K i n d n e s s A b o u n d s Maziel rubbed at his blindfold, where his eyes were. They hurt today... he didn't understand why. He could not strain them, so they could not see... and he only used them to sense his surroundings rather than walk and slam into a door, or stroll into a demon's room without knowing. He sighed and rubbed at his eyes a little more. They hurt... but he had a lesson to teach. He would get them checked out by his brother later. Perhaps it was a demonic or angelic sickness... he's been around both for quite a while now.
He sat on his trunk as usual, waiting for thie girl, Azubahiel, to come.

 The spawn made her way into the class room, eyes taking in her surroundings. For once, she'd come by herself; Mother just hadn't been up to it. Besides, she'd had a doctor's appointment today to find out what was wrong. 'Zuba tried not to think too much about that; she couldn't learn properly if her mind was elsewhere, now could she? "'Lo?" she said softly as she entered the class, her eyes scanning the classroom for a few seconds before landing on the blindfolded man. "Class, right?" she asked, making sure this was the right place.

K i n d n e s s A b o u n d s Maziel rubbed at his hurting eyes periodically, waiting patiently until he heard a voice in the room. It seemed his sensing was flickering. He watched his surroundings, and they flickered as if in an old movie. He shook his head. "Yes?" He spoke. It was a girl's voice. "I'm the spiritual teacher, yes. Are you Azubahiel?" He asked. He had to concentrate... and he would tell his brother about this later.

"Yes. 'M Azubahiel. Can call me 'Zuba, though." the girl said, her voice soft. "'S nice to meet, sir." She walked further into the classroom, her eyes taking in the rather different learning environment as she made her way to stand about a yard away from the teacher. "You okay?" she asked, tilting her head to the side. Something just seemed...off. Maybe it was the blindfold?

K i n d n e s s A b o u n d s Maziel smiled softly. "I'll be fine in a few days. " He smiled. He must have some sort of sickness. It'll be ok. He and his brother had a naturally strong immune system. It came with the whole 'you're probably bigger than most trucks, how are germs gonna kill you?' package. He chuckled softly and looked at her. "Well. I'm Maziel. Nice to meet you Zuba. Sit by me on the tree stump here. I'd like to talk with you. before we begin."

"Good...." she said, nodding once. She felt a bit guilty, though; he wasn't feeling well and here she was bothering him with a class. "Nice to meet as well." she said, making her way over to where the teacher was seated, slipping into a sitting position on the stump. "About what?" she asked softly, looking up at the adult. She was a bit worried; at her house the phrase "I'd like to talk with you" usually entailed something bad, like a lecture, or punishment, or bad news.

The dragonoid heard the worry in her voice. "Oh, you needn't worry. It's not a bad talk." He murmured in a comforting voice. "Do you what magic is?" He began the conversation. He had to teach the girl what magic was if he planned to teach her how to do magic. He'd rather not think up misconceptions of magic, for ignorance in magic is as deadly as magic itself.

'Zuba was relieved, glad that it wasn't anything to worry about. She paused, tapping a finger to her lips as she thought about it. "'S a kind of force. Only some can use it. Has to be used properly; not to be played with." That's how it'd been explained to her. "Must be more to it, though. Don't know." Something told her she had a lot to learn, and that's exactly what she was here to do: learn.
