It was a gorgeous day. The sun was in the middle of the sky, covered by only a few thin clouds. A slight breeze cooled the air. Spring was finally here. Athosia smiled as a butterfly landed on her nose. Its pink wings were comforting to her. Slowly it fluttered away with the wind and Athosia took a few steps to keep it close before letting it leave her. This was her favorate place, right by the lake. There was a large oak tree by the edge of the east shore that always cast a perfect shadow for her afternoon nap.

The colt lowered his head, flared his nostrils, and prepared his body for takeoff. No, not flying, the colt did not carry wings, but he was going to run.
"3..2..1.. GO." He shouted to himself, pushing off with his scrawny legs. His hooves flew behind him. He smiled, thinking quite happily that he was just as fast as his dad. Though, Crue knew he wasnt as calm and poised as his brother, but he didnt want to be. He was happy being him.
His lightly colored eyes gleamed as the lake came into view. Oh now it was on.
He let out a loud cry of fun, and leapt off from the earth, jumping straight to the water. He fell in with a large SPLASH. Perking his head out of the water, he smiled. This was the life.

Athosia woke with a start. Something had disturbed the silence of the lake. She watched as a young colt rose out of the water. She sighed with relief. The colt looked to be enjoying himself, and why shouldnt he? It was the perfect weather for a swim. Athosia remembered not to long ago she had been his age, taunting her brother with the water. This dark fured colt was alone, but that didnt keep him from enjoying the water. She settled back down, keeping an eye on the new soquili. Who was she to bother his fun?

He glanced up, and he saw the mare almost instantly. Now he was intrigued. He saw wings!
Oh boy, did she have wings? That would be awesome, he had yet to meet one like her..
"HEY!" He called, not really a screaming angry voice, so much as just a loud colt who couldnt control his decible level.
He pranced up to her, splashing the cold water from his pelt, and smiling, lookin up to her, making sure hewas in front of her.
"Aw." He knitted his eyebrows witha groan when he saw her wings were merely her pelt decoration.
"I thought you had REAL wings." He pouted.
