Anyone have problems with everything in the books and movies? I do. Okay, first: Vampires DON'T sparkle. We don't like the sun because we're NOCTURNAL. We're asleep when the sun is up. Also, it hurts our eyes, and we sunburn very easily. Second, why the hell is there venom in their eyes? Why the hell would we need that? It serves no purpose, and we have evolved so that there is a reason for everything we do. I could go on and on, but I'll let someone else have some fun, too.

Physical build has nothing to do with a vamps strength. It is from there SN nature like a dragons. Twilight is a lackluster book but it is a vampire book in the basic sense. I think she should have come out with a new different supernatural creature and started from scratch. Alas we are doomed to see the vampire mythos rehashed every 5 or so years.

Yep. Though, vampires are stronger than normal humans. WE have evolved like this, because the best prey can be hard to get to. Also, in the 500 years when they buried us alive, we had to get out the hard way.

Zandra loves the books but they sometimes have her pulling her hair out. The movie had her in fits because she does story boarding and a 10 year old could of done a better job. I fell asleep 15 minutes in to it. The cast was the only redeeming thing in the movie but they couldn't keep the drab story line interesting for me.

I do not love the books, I like but not love. I like any vampire stories. Yes they are full of things that really do not connect to anything and plot holes. I like reading the fan fic based on them more than the books themselves. The thing that really burns me up is the distortion of imprinting. This is what happens between telepaths not vampires. In most stories the Imprinting happens for some underlying reason but in the Twilight it just happens with out one? Come on to connect at that intimate a level it needs to be more than just because!

In my opinion, Twilight is not about vampires. It is a story that took vampires, made them preppy, and then wrote about it. It is no longer a vampire story.

I agree Twilight should be Goth and it is peppy but I think it is more an Emo story for teens and most of the readers who I have met are 10 to 13 or started at that age. I feel the story is to mature for that age group but I'm not about to start bitching about parents who don't know what there kids are reading. I'm about done with it anyway. The story has become to convoluted and there are to many loose ends .

I don't think its written well enough for people to think anything about it. I got halfway through the first chapter, and I set it down wanting to burn it. The only things I know from that point on are what people have told me.

After Rice's books most are a let down and she was wordy but I could read them. TV has killed Vampire stories by making them wishy washy and mixed in to many other faerie tails and myths with them. Vampire shows should be rated R, Bloody scary and full of Big breast co-Eds running for there life bouncing all the way. Oh and some Homo-erotic pretty boys would be good to.

I take each book on it's own. If you judge books by the best of it's type then no new books would get written. Twilight I believe has about hit it's peak and I don't know if it will last much longer. A book made into a movie can kill a book franchise. I like the books but they were at best middle market not the best. Interview with a Vampire and Queen of the Damned about killed Ann Rice's books and both the movies and books were great. This fact just proves my point.

I have only read bits of them and they didn't grab my attention. U can't go buy what ppl tell U. But with Twilight Ur not missing anything. The movie was ok but not worth paying for.
