So I play Bass Clarinet in my School Band and we have a pretty small band. My problem is what section do I belong in XP. My Freshmen year I was apparently in the clarinet section. Though in field season my part was similar to the Alto Sax/ Horn part (There was no Bass Clarinet part so I got a horn part >_> ) Then my Sophomore year I was in the Low Brass Section. (No low wood wind section since the Tenor Saxes were with the Saxes but sometimes with the low brass O_o and we only had two Bass Clarinets and a Bari Sax so they took us in with the Low Brass) and this time I had One Horn Part which is like the Alto Sax part and one Baritone and then two Tenor Sax parts and Tenor Say and Baritone have the same part so do I belong in the Sax section? Then this year for field season (that passed a few months of course) I actually had the Bass Clarinet part which was like the Tuba part. So that's low brass and I was considered Low Brass. (I think o.o ) So yeah. Well now it's festival season though our band only played at two festivals and we did so a few weeks a go so we're done and before we played at the two festivals I was moved from sitting in between the Tuba's and the Trumpets or Flutes (depending where I felt like sitting XP I have not set spot) o next to the clarinets and everyone except the clarinets think I'm in the Clarinet Section because I play this one part that is shared with the clarinets but the rest of my part is the same as Tuba and Tenor Sax. XP
So anyways am I in the Sax section, Clarinet Section, or Low Brass section? I honestly don't know anymore.........
Why doesn't the Bari Sax Player have this problem ;_; more importantly why isn't he confused for being in the Sax section gonk
