Today Kwaruza was planning on finding Chuju and Kayin, she wanted to see how her children were doing. She would also look for Aanga later as she missed her talks with her eldest daughter. She would then go and see how Ajabu and Tafuta were getting on with their litter as they had so many cubs.

She was walking with the largest smile on her face. She was content, completely content. She was heading towards the sea, a good swim was needed she was sure and how she adored swimming. It was part of her daily routine and she loved it. She would swim and swim and swim and as she swam she would be able to see the fish swimming underneath her. She nearly came into contact with a jelly fish the other day but luckily avoided it. The last thing she wanted was to be stung by one of them.

She stepped into the water and smiled before jumping straight in. When she was in the water she was a cub again and she loved it.

He had been in the lands for only a few days, watching the ocean hit the shore. Sometimes it was harsh, others it was calm. His ears flickered with each wave that came a'shore, each time causing his memory to be opened ever so slightly. The first time his paw touched the warm sand, he remembered leaving his home from his father. Memories of his mother were yet to be remembered.

Today though, he wasn't on the beach, but actually heading towards it. There was a nice boulder, close to the earth yet high enough to perch on, where he could lay and watch the water. He could also drift his paw and tail through the sand, making little rifts beneath him. However, today seemed to be....different. The red male's golden eyes focused before him, noticing something.

Near the water, a white lioness. He sat for a second, blinking, tail thumping the ground every few minutes, before moving slowly over to her.

"Hello," he called out.

Kwaruza looked up at the sound of a voice and swam back to shore. She recognized the male though she was sure he wasn't a pride member. Then again many rouges it seemed like to live in the prides lands. She wanted to talk to Tamu about. With the 3 new litters about, she couldn't help but worry.

As she got out the water she shook her fur dry before walking towards the male to greet him.

"Hello, I am Kwaruza, who may I ask are you?" She looked curiously at the male. He looked harmless enough but then looks can always be deceiving. She wasn't really one to judge though and so she would wait until he revealed his true colours whatever they may end up being.

“Kwaruza,” Quidytch repeated quietly, moving slowly over to the adult female. He sniffed the air, the smell of salt almost burning his nostrils, but not in a bad way. He enjoyed the scent. He remembered it mostly from his childhood. It was as if this place was bringing him back to his life as a cub. A smile arose on his maw before he spoke to the female. “My name is Quidytch. I was brought to these lands by a lion known as Akono,” maybe this female had heard of him, perhaps not?

His golden eyes focused on the lioness. “It seems there is something about this land that holds a key to unlocking my memories. I wish to find someone of the lands who I may speak with in staying here.”

Kwaruza knew of Akono, how could she not? There was something going on between her daughter and he, she was sure of it! She still hadn't got round to asking Kayin about it though but a mother just knows these things sometimes.

"Yes I know Akono." She also took note of his name. What he said next confused her a little for she wasn't sure what these lands would help him with because he didn't look as if he originated here. Tamu's family were full of blues, greens and greys... Well who knows the sea is the sea, it might have powers she did not know of.

"You are speaking with someone who you can talk to about staying." She smiled at him softly as she spoke. She was wondering though how long he might stay, the way he spoke sounded like he wasn't going to be staying long.

It was true, Quidytch was not of a pelt color in which seemed to be 'of the ocean', but something made his mind turn here. What if his parents were that of blues and greens, of sandy yellows? It was possible that this male was born the oddball out. Could that be a reason why he had such a hard time remembering his past. Maybe, he didn't want to remember it, and therefore had locked it away himself!

Well, at least she knew of Akono. And At least he had gotten Akono's name right.

"Oh really?" Quidytch's head tilted in curiousity as he watched the female. "You are a...queen then?" Well, there was always a chance prides weren't ruled of just monarchs in which you had to nab to get their permission to stay in a land. Perhaps she was... "Or...part of a...high council of sorts?" His head remained tilted contemplating.

He knew of one pride that had such an idea. It was intriguing, none the less.

Kwaruza shook her head.

"Neither really. I just help out Tamu, she rules the pride and I don't really know what you would call me. I help join the newcomers and help with well anything she needs help with." Kwaruza smiled at the male. She really needed to talk to Tamu about this try and find a better way of explaining what she did in the pride.

"How long are you looking at staying for?" She had to ask as this was what he wanted to know about now wasn't it? She liked to join people to the pride and she had a feeling she would need to explain a lot to this one. He was clearly new to the pride.

"Well that just won't do now, you should have a title!" Quidytch nodded his head matter-of-factly. "How about...'Official Greeter of New-Comer Creatures!'" he joked, shaking his head slightly. "Perhaps that is too long... I know, Ogoncc for short!" The adult male was just witty like that, but he didn't really mean it at all. He found making small jokes with the ones he spoke with seemed to help establish who is was.

At her question, Quidytch frowned slightly. "Well I..." he thought again, long and hard about how to word this correctly. "Well..." he started again, the words he was about to say written neatly in the crevices of his thoughts, "...I was hoping not to leave. There is something about that," at this, he raised a paw towards the ocean, "that lets me know who I am.

"I've been going many many moons trying to figure me out, and once I get here, it is as if the answers are being unlocked." His golden yellow eyes moved to meet Kwaruza's own blue ones. "I...don't want to lose that feeling again."

Kwaruza chuckled. "I am sure Tamu will find something suiting... though I will obviously tell her your suggestions!" She was rather amused. He was an interesting character there was no doubt about that! She was sure he would be good for the pride.

Kwaruza listened and nodded as he spoke. "You are welcome to live here if that is what you desire." She smiled at him. "There are a few customs the pride have but you will pick them up easily enough. Sometimes it is easier to let the lions see them instead of trying to explain them!" She chuckled a little. "Though of course I am happy to tell you about them if you wish, also happy to answer any questions you may have." Kwaruza smiled as she spoke, as she always did. Kwaruza very rarely didn't simile. She had the perfect life so why not smile?

Quidytch nodded. Yes, that was what he desired.

"Well... how about instead of you telling me about them, you can show me?" His returned a smile to her, "After all, you probably know more about this pride then I could learn within the next few hours." The red male said, nodding his head. "Perhaps you could show me the prides, where to go, if there are any off limit places," he knew an example of a few prides that had 'off limit' places where only a select few could go. Qui didn't want to violate any teritorries after being here a few minutes

He wanted a tour? Well if he wanted one... most seemed happy to just get on exploring but if he wanted one well she was willing to give one.

"Okay, follow me and I will take you to where most of the dens are. You are welcome to take a free one or if you get on with someone, move in with them or whatever you wish." She smiled as she walked towards where they lived, alert to see whether anyone was about, especially her children. A mother can't help being protective, even if her children were now adult age!

Qui nodded, following the female. He couldn't help but chuckle as she said 'if you get on with someone'. He had only been in love once, that he remembered clearly. Whatever happened to her he wasn't sure of. The red male's heart probably wasn't ready for another one to 'get on with' just yet. "A single den, if there is one available." He smiled, nonetheless.

"So, have you been here a while?"

Kwaruza nodded as he said he wanted a single den. There would be free ones, there always were, then again they were having a lot of lions joining. She was sure people would have to make space for any new lions in their dens soon. That day would be a happy day though!

"I have been here a while, I had my 2nd litter just outside the lands, they are now adults and passed the rites. So yes quite a while." She smiled at him as they reached the dens. Best thing about them, it didn't take long to get to them.

"There are plenty of spare ones so take whatever one you wish!"

"The lands look nice, I can see why you have been here a while then," Quidytch smiled. It was hard to make him frown. The only thing that would was him trying to remember his past.

"What are the rites?" The male was curious to what this female spoke of.

He nodded at her next words. When he would finish talking with Kwaruza, he would find a nice den, and then make his home in it.

"You don't need to worry about Rites, you are already an adult." She smiled softly as she spoke.

"The rites are something all adolescents need to do. They have to go and stand in the water while the tide comes in. They are not allowed to move out the water until the tide has come right in and the sea has accepted them as adults. If however they leave before then they won't be seen as adults in the pride. All adolescents must do it. Like I said, you won't need to worry about it." She smiled again, wondering if he had any more questions, he seemed rather inquisitive.
