Summery: Where there is light, there is darkness. And there is darkness in the heart of every human. That darkness is a tasty home for the Kens. Kens are small creatures of darkness. they feed on the negative emotions they dwell in, expanding them, and growing with them. A person who has a powerful enough Ken living in them can be taken over by the Kens. But Kens themselves have to be directed. They are controlled by Kensens,who in turn report to Arken, the master of the darkness. There are rumors about the Arken, that he is immortal, that he created the Kens, but no one knows much for sure, and only his most trusted generals, like Franki, ever see him at all. The powers of light are called Ighs. and the Ighs have to train hard, they have to work to battle the inherent darkness in themselves, and to master the magic of light. But the prophesy says that one day, five Ighs will arise, who learn more rapidly then they can be taught, and will find away to entrap Arken once and for all. Alignment: Good though he doesn't seem like it.
Power:
He has a power, a gift. Something small and limited, but he has the imagination to make it work for him. He can change up to two parts of his body at once into an animalistic quality. he can have his hands become cats paws, and a cats nose. or a dogs ears and tail. both must be the same animal, and he has to go full human to change to another animal. He can do very few mystical animals, and his dream is to perfect Phoenix. Last time he tried to give himself a phoenix's wings however, he burned off all his hair and was hospitalized for a week for burns. He has yet to figure out how to gain their natural immunity to themselves. He can turn fully into an animal, provided it's mass is no greater then his own, and only real animals. However, this has two major drawbacks. The animal mind is strong, and he cannot always keep control. He has some memories from that which he is not that proud of. The other drawback is that turning into the animal is easy, changing back to human is an effort that exhausts him and leaves him sore and hurting.

Chayne Teraone is the name he was born to, a name few knows. He picks up alias like a play boy picks up girls. He is mostly known as the Dragon slayer. Not that anyone could match his face to that name. He has the name not because he kills dragons, but more, because he kills like a dragon. Or so they all think. His victims are found with a deep set of claw marks in their back, either one set of deep gouges, or slashes. There is always something burnt, and the smell of brimstone. He's famous. But no one knows it's him. With his odd looks, black and red streaked hair, red eyes, no one would think he could ever pass unnoticed, as an assassin must. He loves the challange, and even dresses in such a way as to make the job harder.
Chayne has his reasons for killing. He'll take nearly any bounty, but never ones brought to him. He finds his prey thorough posters in the "underground", a small moving community that is the heart of the city's black market. He reads the posters, and picks his prey. He drops them off dead in a place the one who took out the hit will find, and the comm unity knows by now to leave the payment, in full, in the cave closest to where the body was dropped within 24 hours. Everyone who ever cheated him turned up dead, so everyone pays him, and as for trapping him.... that doesn't work either...
He always seems broke, despite being well paid. Is that just an act, or could he really be spending his money that rapidly?

Little is known about Arkon. Is it a name, or a rank? He works mostly through generals, like Franki, and strikes fear into his minions. Except her. Because she's Franki. He has been known to devour his own minions. He watches from the shadows and acts through others.

She's bouncy, energetic, and really a very friendly person. She came from a large family, with eight brothers, several uncles, a few aunts and two nieces. She was raised like a boy and has a tendency to forget that she's a girl. She's fiercely loyal and loves a good fight... the problem is that she doesn't always remember that her opponents aren't playing like she is. She joined up with Arken because working for him gives her plenty of room to play, but she's not loyal to him. No, only the people she considers family earn her loyalty. People like Iyashii and Kishi and... well... anyone she has fun with. When she was about thirteen, a spell gone wrong blinded her and as a result strengthened her aura sight. She hardly needs sight anymore, but that doesn't stop Kishi and Iyashii from freaking out when she does...well... anything.

Bio: Charli is constantly moving, constantly getting into trouble, and constantly putting her poor bodyguard through the wringer. She has a sweet tooth and only sits still when she's munching on something sugary. She's helpful and full of information when the time calls for it, but most people can't put up with her energy otherwise.

Bio: Torin is timid and completely under his parents rule. They've neglected him his whole life and tend to forget he's around... until they need him to cook something or clean the house for important company. He's never had friends, unsure on how to act around other people. His only (sort-of) companion is his cousin Kin who has been constantly trying to get custody of Torin with no success. Most think he has some sort of magic due to how fast he can create.. well.. anything, however thats mainly due to skill over a long time of having to make things.

Bio: He has a bad boy attitude (and looks it) except he never seems to talk to anyone. Most people think he's mute when they meet him yet his glares are legendary. He lives with his step-father, his mother left after he was born. He doesn't know his actual history, which is his mother left his father and he remarried. His father then left them so his new mother remarried. She then got sick and died.. leaving a 2 year old Iyashii with his step-father Ben. Ben turned out to be a very twisted person, being very into drugs. He gave a young Iyashii a job to sell himself, that he still works to this day.. earning money for Ben's addictions. When he's not being told to work he's being beaten for being 'lazy'. If there's one thing Iyashii wants... it would be for Ben to die. His past makes him a loner and prefer to not have a human company. He discovered his plant affiliation while in high school and its now the only thing he enjoys doing. He has certain spots no one goes to that he's cultivated into beautiful gardens over time. Once he met Franki things changed and she became his first (and only) friend. Now he and her familiar Kishi are too busy chasing after her to think about anything else. Bio: Silas is very calm.. about everything. It takes alot to shock or get any kind of reaction out of him. He doesn't see the point in getting worked up about things out of your control and likes to think of himself as easy going. He's not emotionless just... calm... and has a sharp tongue. His people skills aren't the best and has inadvertently made several people (male and female) cry with his blunt comments. Still.. he tries to keep an open mind but basically doesn't trust people. He goes to a boarding school several towns away from his home as his father works on a cruise ship and isn't home very often. His mother left long ago but still keeps in touch with Silas. He's not anti-social but not popular either. One thing for sure is his style doesn't fit in with the locals. ((the outfit in the pic is actually his favorite one))

I just don’t fear. Why should I? The bullets never came near me and even if one did I could just dodge it. No, really, I can dodge bullets. They’re fast, but I’m just a little faster. Just one of the reasons I excelled in the military. The whole thing came naturally to me since I’ve always been a good shot. They just put bigger guns in my hands. Too bad they were never enough. Our team was the best in our regiment; our attacks were always perfectly coordinated, we moved as one. But that wasn’t even enough to get all of us back… When I got out things weren’t much better. I went home and it wasn’t there. I went off to fight a war in a distant land and my mother, the only family I ever knew, had been killed in some stupid little skirmish between the locals. So where does that leave me? Nowhere really. I travel around doing what I do best: I’m a bounty hunter by trade and I hire my abilities out to the highest bidder. Bio:Narina Scotts is the daughter of a well to do family. With high society and greed surrounding her all her life, you would think that the young lady would be tainted with some sort of strange evil, yet her thoughts are always for others. She spends many of her weekends in soup kitchens serving the homeless or at shelters for children. Plain-looking, the only real thing that stands out about Narina are her bluer than blue eyes. Her clothes are often simple in their appearance, and she is rarely ornamented with jewelery. The only real ornamentation she does allow herself is a simple pair of small silver hoop earrings.

 Pagie Reed - She looks about twenty or so, though in some moments she seems much older. Once a great and famous “battle caster”, an archaic term dating back to when the battles were more open and broader. She was one of the strongest Ighs they had. Times have changed, both sides have gotten more powerful, and some powers have been lost to everyone, even her. Ever since the battle that paralyzed her legs, leaving her wheel chair bound, Paige found a new calling. She seeks out people with potential to be Ighs, children, and brings them in, training them. She is a teacher and a seeker now. While a part of her still misses the ability to protect people that she once had, she enjoys teaching the next generation in order to enable them to defend themselves and others.
