  Burryna sighed. She had been so busy since she became Matron of her house. Not only did she have to do all the dealings of her house, she had to work Mica into the house itself. That had been interesting, but not very difficult, no one said much about his arrival and wouldn't question her anyway. He had seemed to learn the house quick enough, at least the important places. Both her younger sisters were still around as well. The other dealing she had was being pregnant. She barely remembered how her mother was with her sisters. Burryna had become more noticeable then she had thought, then realized it was going to be twins. A blessing from Lloth, twins, which did seem to run in her blood.
The twins were a mixed blessing, only one was female and the other was a male. Still not bad at all. The two looked like opposites as well, her daughter got her eyes luckily but looked much like her father. While the boy, looked like her but had their father's eyes. How interesting. And now here she was trying to entertain them. None of the servants could stand the twins much so Burryna decided to take her hand into watching the two little ones.
The only way she could think of doing anything with them was to see what of her old toys they liked, she hadn't much but did get some servants to go and buy the best things they could find. Burryna was interested to see what the two ended up liking the best. Currently the twins were sharing quarters in a room close to her own. She walked there, having a servants bring a large chest of toys and such to the room. Closing the door behind her, she picked Akorwae from her crib first and set her on large plush rug on the floor, the little girl was draped in greens. Next she picked Riknolu up and put him on the floor as well, the boy was dressed in reds. Burryna grinned and spilt the chest of assorted toys over, watching to see what the two children would do.Akorwae blinked her little rose eyes as her mother picked her up. She always got treated before her brother, something she would come to notice when she was older. The little girl could speak some, more than her brother. Her little eyes blinked as her mother put her on the floor and retrieved her brother. Together they watched the pile of toys spill in front of them. To any child this was almost a dream. Akorwae pulled herself over to the pile and picked up some sort of stuffed spider.

The young babe was unremarkable in compare to other children. He had the same needs and wants as any baby. However, as a twin he had a response that came at the seperation of him and his sister. He cried. Over every small thing, those golden amber eyes would well up if his sister seemed to vanish from his presence. So long as he could see Akorwae, Riknolu was content enough. But the moment she vanished from sight his lips opened and those healthy lungs belted out a angry wail of displeasure.
In the few seconds that it took for Burryna to lift then lower Akorwae to the floor, Riknolu had managed to issue a angry scream on his part. "Uwaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" he yelled, his gold eyes welling instantly with a healthy amount of tears. His little bottom lip trembled as he looked up at the familar female that he had come to call 'Mua' in his attempts to learn to speak. In just moments he himself was removed from his crib and set down on the floor near his sister. In that instant the angry cries died and the river of tears dried up. His attention was instantly caught by the many toys that now surrounded him.
Despite how many toys were present, it was the stuffed spider that his sister held that became the important thing. With a very wobbly crawl, he dragged himself up closer to Akorwae and reached to grab at ome of the spiders dangling legs. "My!" He declared as his little black fingers sought to grasp hold of the plushie.

Burryna sighed when Riknolu started to cry. It was amazing how much his eyes looked like his father's though the little boy had some of her looks. Children were so hard to care, for especially two at once, where was everyone else. From the few times she alone had played with the children, she was getting the idea that little Riknolu never wanted to be far from Akorwae, which was part of the reason they shared a room. This would be a problem when they got older, but for now it was fine.
Burryna shook her head when he stopped crying. A chuckled escaped her lips as she watched him go over to Akorwae and try to take the plushie. His exclamation surprised her some, she new they were starting on words but he spoke rarely and not as well as his sister.
Akorwae sat her self up wobbly, and looked to see where her brother had gone. She wasn't as attached to him as he was, with the crying, but she was always curious as to where he was. Her rose eyes blinked as she looked at the spider oddly. She was excited because it had so many legs and she let out a little squee of joy. When her brother came over she held the spider close as he reached out. Her head shook back and forth. "Mnm, Mine!" Akorwae liked her spider and didn't want her twin to have it, it was to pretty for him to play with it.

For now Burryna ceased to exsist for the small child. His attention was caught and with a single minded determination he was attempting to lay hold of one of the spider legs. His baby's face scrunched up with the frustration that a child can convey and he made another grab at the spider plushie. "My!" He declared again. Just one single syllable of the word that Akorewae was capable of speaking completely.

Akorwae did not realize the significance of her gender, not at her age. All that seemed to matter was that her twin wanted the stuffed spider that she. But it was hers so he couldn't have it, the spider how pretty it was. "Na, Mine." Her head shook again as Riknolu grabbed hold of one of the legs.
Burryna grinned as she watched the two. How interesting that there were so many things and those two could only concentrate on a single thing. It was good that her daughter favored the stuffed spider first, a sign perhaps, she may be a cleric of Lloth one day. Had the two been older, Burryna would have scolded the boy on trying to take his sister's toy. Though it would have fallen on deaf ears for they were to young to understand the differences of their genders. For now.
Moving, Burryna sat on the floor close the the children and the toys. She picked up a similar spider toy and held it out to the two, seeing if one would go for it.

Despite the fact there were many toys around them. And despite the fact his mother was currently dangling a toy that looked just like the one his sister had, Riknolu was not about to reliquish his grip on the spiders leg. In fact...as Burryna would dangle the second toy near and tempting, he would reach his other hand out to grasp at the second spider. A childishly greedy expression in those golden eyes as he smiled and declared once again. "My!!"

Akorwae watched her mother move as she held onto the toy the best she could. Why didn't her brother understand the toy was hers... But wait, her mother found another spider that looked just as good, no better to the little girl. She reached out one of her hands and took the other spider from her mother. "Mine!" Her attentions were brought back to her brother when he exclaimed his own 'my.' At this point Akorwae dropped the first spider and clutched the newest one to her.
Burryna laughed as she watched the twins more. It would seem that both of them wanted the newest toy but neither realized that there were two of them, identical in every way. But a moment later it would seem that Akorwae wanted the new one and let go of the first, leaving it for the brother. Perhaps now they could both settle on one each. Though that would not be the case for some of the other things in here she knew, most of the stuff in here was only one of its kind in the box. "Now you both have one, I hope you two can play nice. You are lucky little Riknolu." She reached out to ruffle the boys hair, which felt so much like his fathers despite looking like hers. His little golden eyes were almost a reminder... These two really were quite the opposites of one another for being twins.

Riknolu had the spider now. After his sister had released her hold on the plushie he eagerly drew it into his lap. Now that he had it...he had no idea really what to do next. The words spoken to him by his mother made no sense to him. Though their soft tone did not disturb him in the least. When it was that Burryna reached down to ruffle his hair, Rik looked up at his mother. His big golden eyes peering at her under the fall of the pink tipped light blond hair. With a childish gurgle, he lifted one of the legs of the spider plushie to his mouth and he started to happily chew on the materail. Those golden eyes sparkling happily for the next few minutes.
That happiness faded though, as Rik took note of the fact his sister had a spider now too. Pulling the plushie from his mouth, he did the first thing that a child often does when it wants attention...he flialed the spider plushie at Akorwae to bop at her. "Uhwan nana ba!" He gibbered loudly.

Akorwae had taken hold of the new plushie and cuddled against it. She liked the spider a lot and had hoped that her brother won't take this one. For a moment she looked at her brother, watching her mother ruffle his hair. Why was she paying attention to him! Akorwae took her spider and hit it against the floor for a moment before calling out "Mama!" for she wanted to be the center of the attention, not paying any heed to her brother chewing on the other spider. When her brother flailed the other spider she let out a little shriek and held up the other spider in front of her to block him.
Burryna rolled her eyes as she watched the two. When her daughter called to her she had just smiled and straightened the girls hair. Riknolu had taken to chewing on the spider, yet he looked so happy about it until he realized he wasn't the only one with that toy. Akorwae on the other hand was quite content with admiring her plushie, until her brother made a flail towards her. "Really Riknolu..." She sighed for a moment and darted her hand out to stop the plushie from hitting Akorwae. Burryna then picked Riknolu up and placed him closer to the toys on the ground, and out of reach from his sister, wondering if he'd become distracted by something else.

Riknolu was, quite simply, having fun! Even though he felt a period of childish jealousy over his sister having the same toy, he almost immediatlyforgot about the spider plushie as his mother picked him up and set him down near the tous. Those big golden eyes widened at the wealth of play things. The shiney and pretty and soft looking things near him definatly did a good job in distracting him. "Uy mah mah muy!" Riknolua began to gibber happily. Holding the spider plushie in one hand still, he rocked himself closer to what seemed to be a toy elf doll on the floor. Eager to have the new doll. Riknolu plucked it from the floor..ane happily began to chew on it's head. "Gweeeeeeeee!!!"

When her brother was moved closer to the other toys, Akorwae paid no more attention to him. Her rose eyes blinked as she looked at her spider. She was adoring the toy and had determined that she would keep it forever, and never let her brother have it. Her attention was brought back to Riknolu when he had let out an exclamation. Why did he have more toys! Keeping her spider in hand, she pushed herself over to the other toys and looked at them all. There were so many things to choose from! The only thing she did not want was the doll her brother was chewing on. She reached her hand out to pick up another plushie that looked like a snake.
Burryna sat down in a chair as she watched the two of them. It was so interesting to watch the two react in different ways to things. Riknolu seemed to be hands on, and well mouth on too. His reaction to many things is to chew on it. While his sister was much less... destructive. When Riknolu let out his 'gwe' Burryna chuckled some, such an odd child. When Akorwae moved closer to the toys she grinned and went back to watching them more. She wouldn't outwardly admit that is was fun to watch her two children, though perhaps she'd make Mica deal with them next time. Really she hadn't seen him much with the children at all, and they were most defiantly his...

The boy was quite happy with all of the toys around him. He still clutched the spider plushi in one hand tightly while he popped the elf doll out of his mouth. It's head slightly drooly now from being chewed on. His attention was caught by Akorwae, as she approched the toys around him. With a happy and gleeful expression on his face... Riknolu chucked the elf doll at his sister. His golden eyes filled with a merry mirth as he 'played'.

Akorwae's big rose eyes widened at the sight of her brother with the doll, the doll that was coming at her. Luckily his aim was not very good at all and the doll fell to the ground to her side. She stared at the doll for a moment and then crawled, reaching over to pick it up. Her eyes blinked as she looked at it. Not wanting it because it was covered in her brother's spit, she tossed it back at him and went back to playing with her spider and snake plushie toys.
A sigh escaped her lips as she watched the two. When Riknolu threw the doll at his sister Burryne stood up, though she wouldn't have been fast enough to stop it, luckily it hadn't hit Akorwae. "Really Riknolu.... I'd put you in your crib but you would just cry for your sister." They were such a hand full! She'd just separate them but she knew that would cause trouble with the little boy. Eventually he would have to learn but currently he was to young to comprehend such things. When Akorwae tossed the doll back Burryna wasn't worried, she could tell that neither of them had the aim to hit the other square on, yet.

FUN! Riknolu's eyes widened with delight as his sister would return the elf doll in the same manner that he had sent it at her. Even as his mother was scolding him gently, Riknolu was kicking his legs and screaming with happy laughter. Oh! Such a happy spastic attack of joyful laughter and arm waving! The attention by his mother only bright a wider and happier smile to Riknolu's big eyed face! He had no idea what it was she had said, but it did not matter. She had made sounds at him, and Riknolu began to jabber away right back at her. His baby gibberish continued in a long steady stream, as if he were having a one sided conversation with burryna as he held his spider plushie and bashed it into the floor over and over again. Of course, the fun was not to be over too soon. Riknolus golden eyes wandered over the toys, and with one happy hand he grabbed at a rat doll, and in the same manner he had thrown the elf, he tossed the doll inaccurately at Burryna. "GWEEEEEEEEEEEE! HA HA HA hee! gaaa nana!!!"

Akorwae watched as their mother spoke to her brother. Being a twin they were always fighting for attention, something the little one could sense even if she did not understand it. She did not like that her brother was getting more than her, something that she did not like. Her rose eyes blinked as Riknolu was jabbering to himself. Akorwae pet her spider for a moment before crawling over to her brother. She plopped herself down next to him and banged the spider on the ground before starting to swing the plush spider at him.
These two really were something, was she like this when she was little? No she must have been better, perhaps they both got this from Mica... Speaking of which where was that infernal male. When Akorwae crawled to her brother Burryna had barely noticed for she was to busy watching Riknolu babble on, so odd. The rat doll, having been thrown, missed her by a few inches and fell to the ground behind her. Sighing she turned around and went to pick it up. "Akorwae, I hope your brother doesn't pick up a profession where he throws weapons or anything." Picking up the rat she walked back and kneeled by the two little ones. "Riknolu." She placed her hand on her sons head as to try to get his attention, after all they did need to learn their names. "I wonder if you have any magic in you, my little son."
