The wedding went off, well, decently well. Thankfully Kisa had a shawl with her bridesmaid dress that was converted into a top for Kitsu, and no one had thought a thing about it. Kitsu tended to wear scarves instead of shirts half the time, anyways.

The long strip of silky green cloth was at least comfortable, Kitsu thought as the wedding party parked in front of a local restaurant and started filing in. They had rented a room in the back for the dancing and eating, and all those other wedding like stuff, and Kitsu couldn't wait to see the decorations her sisters and she had worked so hard on hanging. It was going to be great!

She stepped out of the van, shoving her hair out of her face as the wind tugged at it, and looking at the ominous clouds in the sky. It had been raining off an on, and she seriously hoped that it didn't bother Jade and her husband's trip. They were flying to Niagra Falls. After the party, that was.

Levi flattened himself against the wall just inside the front door as another wave of customers entered, several of them dressed in green that matched the decorations in the back room. He'd had a moment to admire them as he'd helped himself to the spread...now precariously balancing two unopened champagne bottles under one arm, a baguette under the other, and a plate of crudely sliced cake on top of it all. Grinning, the pirate darted for the entrance before the door had a chance to swing closed, hurrying out into the wind before the party goers discovered his...charitable withdrawals.

Backing towards the door, he slipped out and spun, making his escape...right into someone else. They met, cake first, and Levi winced, precariously held champagne bottles clanking. He could feel the cake mash between his chest and the unfortunate customer he'd run into, but the wind had blown his head scarf across his eyes, and he spluttered behind it.

"Sorreh! I, uh..." The wind died, and the tails of his head wrap dropped, revealing a rather lovely cake covered chest. Smiling, apology dying as swiftly as the wind, Levi's eyes traveled slowly upward.

Purple hair. Horn? "K-Kitsu?!" His jaw dropped, blue eyes wide. Had it really been that long?!

Kitsu's horrified attention was on the cake that now smeared her sister's wrap. It would stain, no doubt, or cake, at least, and some of it had gotten down the gap between her newly grown boobs and how in the world was she going to get that out without stripping?

She jerked, then, as the perpetrator said her name, her eyes widening at the sight of Levi carrying his "charity" which looked awfully familiar. One, he was her friend, but on the other hand, those were definitely their bottles and the cake now decorating her shirt was from the groom's cake that Jade had insisted on getting.

Her eyes narrowed and her hands went to her hips, showing how NOT RIGHT that was.

Levi's eyes went even wider at her reaction, and he bent swiftly to settle the bottles and bread on the lawn. As soon as his hands were free, however, he was suddenly at a loss as far as what to do. His usual, rueful grin crept into place, and he gestured 'sorry'...one of his most used words with Mik when they were children. After another moment of thought the pirate untied his blue head scarf, leaving his dark dreads free as he offered the wrap to Kitsumai.

"I uh..." He verbally stalled, mentally debating whether or not to help her scoop off some of that frosting. Her little hooves looked awfully sharp. "Inna mood fer a picnic?" Brightening at his brilliant suggestion, Levi offered his grin full force, aqua eyes dancing behind wind tossed dreads.

"Dinnit know it was you, really Kitsu." It was most likely the closest he'd ever come to a genuine apology.

She sighed, hating to admit that he was too darn cute to stay mad at, even though he had totally ruined her sister's reception. She took the wrap, then rather rudely, sniffed it to see how clean it was. It didn't seem too dirty, so she appropriated it, then pointed at him, then the restaurant, not bothering to sign.

He was going to go in there, because she didn't trust him to behave himself while she was doing her bridesmaid duties.

"Kitsu! Is that your boyfriend?" she heard Jade call back at them.

Her face turned bright red.

Levi didn't seem to take exception to Kitsu sniffing the wrap, after all, it was a fair question. Lucky he'd washed it this week! The pirate had never been keen on frequent bathing, but his swimming habits kept him cleaner than many other young men his age. As soon as the voice behind him called out, Levi grinned, cocking one eyebrow at Kitsu.

"Y'got a funny way of asking a guy out, but ah accept! Give a turn there, luv, an I'll get y'tied up?" He motioned to the wrap, and gestured for her to spin a bit if she wished. If she untied the green one while he held the blue one at ready, she could change right on the spot! "I'll get th' green one clean in a flash, an' meet ya back inside!" Truth be told, this was shaping up to be more fun than his solitary picnic plan anyway!

She rolled her eyes and ignored his suggestion, heading inside so she could change herself in the bathroom. Her mom had already yelled at her once for running around shirtless, after all!

And for some reason she felt embarrassed at the very idea of being without a top in front of Levi. Oh, and by the way, she thought, she was going to have to explain to Jade that they were just friends. She wasn't old--

Well, maybe she was old enough to have a boyfriend now, after all, but still--

It was no wonder her face was bright red as she stepped through the restaurant doors, and got several strange looks for it.

Levi shrugged, and bent to recover the two champagne bottles from the grass. Following Kitsu through the door, he hefted them both as though he'd saved them from a fire...cheerfully setting them down on the nearest table. Waving to folks as though he belonged there, Levi did a bit of touch up as they walked...tugging his white shirt straight, unrolling his sleeves, and buttoning it up nearly (but not quite) to the top.

"Nice party! What's th' occasion?" Leaning closer to Kitsu as he whispered the question sidelong, Levi offered her his arm. Even covered in cake, she sure looked beautiful! What had happened to that shy little filly he'd known before?!

Kitsu's expression brightened at the question and a glorious smile crossed her face as she started to sign, "it's my sister's wedding! Doesn't she look beautiful?" A look of happy sister infatuation crossed her face as she looked over at the green haired sister in question. The flowing white and green dress did look very good on the blushing bride, who was dancing with their brother at the moment.

Then she motioned to her chest, signing "I need to go get cleaned up now. Don't take anything."

Levi's smile also brightened, but he was looking at Kitsu, not her sister. She looked so...delicious, when she was happy!! Or maybe that was the cake. Either way, Levi was glad he'd ran into her. Daydreaming as he was, he missed a good portion of what Kitsu signed...something about beautiful? He nodded. That she was!

The next sign was almost totally foreign to him, which made sense considering Mik had never really bothered teaching him the word 'clean.' The pirate's mouth fell open as Kitsu motioned to her chest and gestured to 'take anything.' "-Ok!-" He signed and took a willing step forward when she turned, making her way for the bathroom.

Well, drat. That didn't stop him from watching her go! Levi was a little surprised to find that she was cute head to tail, eyes drawn to the swish. And sweet to boot, he decided. Most girls would have been pretty pissed over the cake thing.

On his best manners, Levi hooked his thumbs at the thick sash of his waist (which looked way better than a cumberbund, in his opinion) and kept his hands off the snack table...unknowingly complying with Kitsu's true request.

There was something a bit too intimate about wearing his head wrap as a shirt, she thought as she looked at herself in the bathroom mirror. But it was the first thing she had, and it was long enough. At least it wasn't see through or anything, she decided. She would have to wash it and give it back to him later.

With that thought she headed back into the party room, just in time to see her brother Walter heading for the pirate in question.

"You're Kitsumai's boyfriend, right?" Walter asked, holding out a hand to the other teen. "I'm her brother, Walter."

Kitsu was suddenly very worried, indeed.

"Boyfriend?" Levi grinned and gave the hand a good shake, looking the lad up and down. Nice looking guy, he was glad it was her brother! "Lucky just to be 'er date, eh! M'Levi, glad to meetcha."

Dropping his hand, he glanced toward the bathrooms, catching a glimpse of Kitsu making her way back across the floor. Seeing her in his scarf as a top made him smile again, and he leaned in closer to Walter to whisper. "Tell me her favorite flower an' 'er favorite food 'afore she gets here, an' ah'll work on the boyfriend part!"

"That," Walter said companionably, "you're going to have to find out yourself. Of course, if you plan on being her boyfriend you should probably know," he went on. "She's my favorite sister. I'd appreciate it if you treated her well." He had a very friendly smile. It was a worrisome thing.

"Plan? Well, good to know I got yer vote!" Levi grinned goodnaturedly at Walter's refusal, and clapped him on the shoulder nonetheless. The steady smile didn't seem to unnerve him in the least. "Got a sister mah self, mate. Right there with ya." He nodded farewell with a lift of his chin, in that rather casual gesture that all guys seemed to share, and slipped back into the crowd, making his way towards Kitsumai.

Pirates were good at a few things, and being sneaky was one of them. Levi angled up next to the lovely taur and offered her his arm for the second time that evening, nodding towards the dance floor. "Y'look like blue skies, lass. Blue skies! Talk y'into a dance?" He'd tied his dreads back with a lock of his own braided hair, tucking the beaded end under. With his hair back and his shirt buttoned, he almost...almost!...looked like a rather stylish young man.

She smiled at him, still a bit worried. It wasn't in real life that Walter was a problem, it was in dreams. She wondered if she should tell Levi, then decided not to. It wasn't as if they were really dating, after all.

They were just very good friends. She looked at the dance floor, but hesitated, knowing that she would take up far more room than most thanks to her equine half. She shook her head, stepping back once in a worried, skittish manner.
