Today wasn't a good day for Feana. She'd gotten into so much trouble and ended up making her father really disappointed in her. It wasn't her fault that the bees ended up stinging her brother. ...Ok, well, it was. But he didn't have to run towards their dad, stinging him in the process. That just happened! Now she was confined to the mainland near her home to cub sit. CUB SIT! Of all things Feana hated it was this.
She had to wrangle cubs all day, clean them, feed them and make sure they didn't get hurt. When all Feana wanted to do was play with them, trick them into thinking she was the best in the world. But nooo. One of the older females would be watching her to make sure she did her job right. Just great. A snort came from her as she bathed the third cub. This one, however, wasn't bright like the other's she'd bathed.
"...Who are you?" She asked the black and orange looking cub, arching a brow at her.
Molemogi blinked up at her caretaker for the day and frowned. Did she -have- to talk again? She looked for any of her sisters, and they were off romping their brother. With a heavy sigh, she'd answer, "Molemogi...."
Mollie thought this female was so weird. She was gray and pink, but really pretty. She had an annoyed air about her though. She shifted between Feana's front paws for her bath, waiting for that first scrap of the tongue against her head. It itched, and bathes usually fixed that. That's what she gets for going out of the lands with her friend.
Grunting, Feana set about her task, but couldn't resist teasing this little cub now and then. A tug on her ear, a bat of her tail and smirked at the baby growl that came out. "There we are. You're so clean now, Blacky. So, you going to go play with everyone else?"
Mollie shook her head and got up, shaking herself off and eyed Feana carefully. Why should she trust this female? Scratching her cheek with her back paw, Mollie straightened herself again and then sighed. "No.. Vu isn't around... He's the only one that plays with me anymore.." She said almost sadly.
If one thought about it, it was actually really sad for a cub to be all alone like this.
At least, Feana thought so. Shifting again, she moved to get up, shaking off the rock dust, and then padded towards the little cub again and gave her an affectionate nuzzle. "Well, little Blacky, we can play together. My brothers and sisters don't play with me anymore either. I tricked them all to much. ...And got them hurt and me into TONS of trouble. So don't cover your brother in honey and throw a beehive at him. It doesn't turn out the best..."
Blinking, Mollie arched a brow and then gave a loud laugh. "Why would ANYONE do that?" She asked, looking up to the other girl and shook her head, sighing. It was the weirdest thing she'd ever heard.
"Does this mean I can call you a friend, Feana?" She asked, tilting her head before grunting under the pink one's weight.
Yes, Feana had flopped on the cub, apparently not carrying she was so much bigger than the other. With a huge laugh, Feana shrugged and then rolled all over Mollie before getting up, giving her a lick to her head. "Sure, kid... Look, your sister's calling you."
Mollie's green eyes looked up, and indeed, her sister was calling her. With a little leap to her paws, she looked back at Feana with a huge smile and then ran off. So she had a new, big friend. She just -had- to tell Vu.
Feana, however, had other plans. She started stalking the little female as Mollie went to play with her siblings. It was her punishment, after all, to watch the cubs. She heard a few questions about her and rolled her eyes. "I'm your baby sitter. You're still babies. I'm not. So ha." She said, puffing out her chest proudly.
Green eyes blinked at that and she frowned even deeper. "Feana.. It's not nice." She said, as if scolding the other. Her siblings were surprised she was actually -talking-, from the collective gasps she heard from everyone. Rolling those eyes, she shook her head and then licked her lips a little. "I do talk, you know. That's not nice either."
Feana rolled her eyes and snickered at that, moving in the middle of the circle of cubs. "Come on, kids. The hunters are back with more food. You're hungry, right? Your moms and dads are back."
There was a great cheer as they cubs all ran, like a herd, to greet their parents or get some more food. Apparently Feana didn't feed them enough. She spotted Mollie nuzzling against her Dad and gave a huge grin, a laugh coming from her. "Cute cub..."
