FOR STATS: Jonquil and Zaiella

Spring time! He loved it. There was certainly something to be said for seeing the earth in all its glory, flowers blooming over gentle hills, rivers bubbling cheerful stories to the trees as they wound their way across the miles. The winter had felt especially long somehow, and he thought he was the most pleased of anyone he knew to feel the sunlight warm on his back and see the grass lush and green again.
Though a fully grown stallion, he could be a child at heart, and he was certainly exercising that aspect of his personality as he bounded along a field of colorful blooms. The air was fragrant and heavy with the noises of spring; birds whose conversation he had long missed were back again, and leaves once again adorned the mighty trees, the wind whistling through them and playing a beautiful song. Certainly nature made him feel like an inquisitive colt again, rekindling the spirit of adventure that had gone to sleep in the winter.
Coming over the crest of a hill, he breathed in deeply, supremely satisfied with the morning. A smell caught his attention, had his ears perking off to the right as he swiveled his head, searching for the source. He was a sociable stallion by nature, and any opportunity to share his good mood with another was more than welcome.
She wasn't difficult to find, her colors a vibrant punch against the backdrop of pastel flowers, and he blinked, not quite trusting his eyes. He'd met his share of vivid Soquili, but the mare standing off to the side and nosing about the grass carried an intricate pattern he hadn't often laid eyes on.
More than intrigued, he changed direction, trotting toward her with his head high and interest obvious in his expression. She hadn't noticed him quite yet, but the wind was in his favor - however, he didn't want to startle her.
He slowed his approach, posture relaxed and tone gentle when he greeted her. "Hello there! A fine day, isn't it?"
