Tinania couldn't help but pace outside door. Each time she came to this home, she left in fear. And now she was coming back again, but this time by herself. Taking a deep breath, she lifts her hand to the necklace around her neck as she closes her eyes "I'm just here to pick up Sellexi, that all you have to say." his parents probably wouldn't want to talk to her anyways. After all, she had a feeling somehow his father was blaming her for this whole thing anyways.
Opening her eyes, she squares her shoulders before she knocks on the door a couple of times. In and out, it will be that simple. Then she would leave them alone until Zhane got home.

There was no immediate response from inside the house. In fact, if not for the car in the driveway, one would think nobody was home.
Eventually, however, there was the sound of approaching footfall from within the house and the door opened a crack as a pair of violet eyes peered out. Seeing who it was, Yeande blinked in surprise, opening the door further.
"Nani. Hello." she said. Though she didn't smile in greeting, her words were gentle. She looked, in a word, exhausted. Like she and sleep had become strangers to one another over the last couple of weeks.

Tinania smiles a little to Yeande before she bows her head. Inside she felt herself winces as she saw how tired Zhane's mother was "I'm sorry if I woke you or anything. I would have used the key Zhane left me, but I felt it wasn't right." pulling the key from her pocket, she holds it up alittle "He left me a note when I woke up, asking if I could come get Sellexi." pushing her hair from her face alittle, she chews on her bottom lip.
In and Out, that simple. Then leave the parents to rest.

Yeande tried not to look crestfallen. She'd hoped seeing Nani appear on her doorstep spontaneously would have meant news about her son. But...apparently not.
Eyeing the key Nani offered, she shook her head. "You hang onto that. He'll probably want it back when he comes home." she said, reaching up to smooth hair away from her own face absently as she moved aside to let Nani in.
"I don't suppose you've heard from him at all?" she asked, starting in the direction of the hallway and looking over her shoulder to make sure the blonde-haired young woman was following.

Tinania wasn't honestly sure how to answer Yeande question. Not to long ago, she had told this very sweet woman that nothing had happen between her and Zhane. Yet something big happen last night, so big it made her smile just thinking about it.
Coughing as she feels a blush rise to her cheeks, she takes a deep breath. No point in hiding it, they might as well know the truth. "Um...well as I said, he left a note for me on my kitchen counter. When he left me sleeping in bed..last night.." licking at her suddenly very dry lips, she looks down at the ground as she follows Yeande down the hallway.
She wasn't lying, she just didn't go into full detail.

Yeande's gait faltered a bit, her wings tensing on her back, but otherwise she did not outwardly react. "I see...." she said quietly.
Despite both his and her insisting that they had not taken it quite that far, she had prepared herself for hearing otherwise. Things happened when you got involved with someone you cared for. Hormones got out of control. She knew that much....she'd experienced for herself how a simple touching of hands could lead to clothes being shed off a few moments later.
Based on what Talon had described having walked in on just before the fallout between him and Zhane, she wondered how long it had been going on. And furthermore hoped they were at least being careful.
"Well, I'm glad he at least had the foresight to leave you a note....did he say where he was going?" she went on as she neared Zhane's door and nudged it open with her fingertips.

Tinania sighs as she looks up "Sadly he didn't really explain to me where he was going. Bu he did tell me he would return if he didn't find anything in a month." leaning slightly against the door on the opposite side of Zhane's room, she felt a rather strange mixture of sadness and fear was over her.
Walking into his room meant two things to her. Having to relive getting caught, and knowing she wouldn't see him on the other side of the door. Blinking rather quickly, she looks up at Yeande "I know he okay, he strong and I know he won't go back on his promise to me."

Yeande forced herself to smile wearily. "I hope not." she told Tinania. "Two weeks ago I could have told you a little more confidently what he would or wouldn't do, but.....I don't think any of us thought he'd do something like this."
Before she could linger on that thought too much longer, she brushed past Nani into Zhane's room, which was not quite empty.
Talon sat in the computer chair, though it was turned away from the desk. Across his lap was one of the photo binders that he was methodically flipping through, as if not even really seeing the pictures anymore.
"You. Behave." Yeande told him warningly as she moved to where Sellexi's tank was situated to follow the cords that led to the heater, filter, and lights back to their respective sockets in the outlet. Talon looked up, blinking like a man who had just been awoken from a trance. Seeing Nani, he stopped short, green eyes flicking between her, and his wife.
At length, he lowered his head once more to look back at the photos. "I didn't say anything." he muttered.

Tinania didn't say a word, she just stood there with her arms behind her back. A smile coming across her lips as she looks to Sellexi "Seiji and Nirendra will be thrilled to see her. They both have been asking about her non stop." plus maybe it would give her a chance to breathe if the little ones kept themselves busy instead of trying to keep close to her.
Glancing towards Talon, she chews on her bottom lip before she looks away.

The little finned child jarred from the nap she'd been taking on the bottom of the tank as her supply of bubbles and heat suddenly vanished as they were unplugged. Tiny hands pressed against the side of the glass as Sellexi blinked questioningly up at Yeande with an owlish gaze.
A flick of her tail bringing her in Nani's direction, recognition seemed to spark in the infant mermaid as she beamed a grin at her, opening and closing her fingers in a small wave.
"She'll probably be glad to see them too." Yeande offered, beginning to pull the cords up from behind the dresser to lay them neatly along the side of the tank so they wouldn't fall everywhere when she took its lid off. "Phae loves to look after her and all, but....aside from what she eats, we really don't know much about how to keep her happy."
Could be worse, she thought. At least this one doesn't screech all night...

Tinania chuckles to Sellexi before she moves towards the tank. Bending down, she carefully lifts the mermaid out of the water "Like most mermaid, she enjoys the water lot. So I had a small room made up for her in my home." turning towards Yeande, she bows her head again.
"I'm really sorry this is causing huge stress on you guys. If I had know this was going to happen.." she finds herself falling short as she thinks about what she was to say. Would she stop herself honestly? Could she?
She knew that answer was a big fat no. She wouldn't stop seeing Zhane, she knew she couldn't. Closing her eyes for a moment, she shakes her head "I know this probably means little right now. But I do love your son, but I don't want to cause anymore trouble between you and him." turning she looks at Talon for a moment.
"I know you don't like me sir, and you have every right to hate me right now. But please understand when I say this, I'm not going to hurt Zhane. I rather die a thousand deaths, or get stabbed all over again, or even lose all my memories before I do that to him." turning away from Talon, she looks to Yeande.
"I really should be going, I have taken up enough of you time."

Yeande said nothing, gently placing a hand on Nani's shoulder to give it a reassuring squeeze. As she did so, her eyes drilled into Talon's from across the bedroom.
Aren't you going to say anything? her gaze demanded.
I don't have anything to say to her. his replied.
A subtle arch of her brow I think maybe you DO...
A slight narrowing of his eyes Don't do this to me. I'm not in the mood
A more extreme narrowing of hers You've been sulking since he left about wanting to make things right again. Here's a good chance to start.
A twitch of one long ear Maybe later...
Black headfins snapping down dangerously Talon so help me GODS if you don't stop feeling sorry for yourself and tell this poor girl she is not some foul corrupter who's the source of all your misery, I am going to put you to use and send you to find him PERSONALLY.
Green eyes wavered, and then dropped in defeat.
All of this without a single word exchanged. They simply had gotten that good at reading one another's body language over the years...
Heaving a sigh, he looked awkwardly to Nani. Where the hell was he even supposed to begin with something like this?
"I....I don't hate you." he said grudgingly. There. It was as good a start as any.

Tinania looks between the two parents, then back at talon as he speaks to her. Opening her mouth, she finds herself unable to speak. With a smile, she steps towards Talon before wrapping one arm around his neck to hug him "Thank you sir." standing straight back up, she turns back to Yeande.
Brushing her fingers through Sellexi's hair, she smiles to the little mermaid before she nods to Yeande "I really should be going, let you two get some rest. I promise if I hear from Zhane, I will call you the moment I can."

Talon flinched at the embrace, but wisely did not protest it. This was his first time meeting her when she was not, in some way, attached to his son and he frankly, still wasn't sure how he felt about her. Yeande had assured him she was very nice, but they didn't always see eye-to-eye on their acquaintances...
In a way, it made him feel bad that she was this ecstatic over his simply saying he didn't hate her. People usually didn't give a damn what he thought of them, and he usually reciprocated by returning the favor.
In Nani's arms, Sellexi giggled and shifted herself, her pearly tail folding neatly beneath itself to make herself more comfortable. She remembered Nani...and with her 'daddy' suddenly missing, Nani was a close-second to her favorite people to be with.
Yeande nodded, stepping back to let the young woman leave. "You take care." she told Tinania. "And thank you."

Tinania bows her head again, before she also steps towards Yeande to give her a hug. Pulling away, she wraps both arms around Sellexi as she turns away from Zhane's parents "Come on sweetie, I got to people who miss you. Plus its such a nice day, you can swim in the Shimmering pool." stepping out of the room, she blows raspberries against the little ones cheek.
