Before the betrayal...the Kucha'umajaa were a prosperous pride. The Mother looked upon them with favor, and even the Father seemed to smile. However, the dark brotherhood was rotting from the inside. A young lioness proved too weak to bear the burden of the murders she had committed, and fled the pride. That might have been forgiven...had she not broken the Second Tenet.
Never betray the Brotherhood.
The pride she took refuge in was altruistic and noble, and once they heard the tale she had to tell they resolved to destroy the nest of assassins near their doorstep. Their king called for war. At this dire turn of circumstances, the msikizi called for a Mtakaso. The lioness was slain...but the damage was already done. The very existence of the Kucha'umajaa was at stake, for while they were skilled in combat word of open warfare would spread like wildfire and turn every paw against them. So the order was given to disperse.
Long they have wandered, but now the Mother has called...it is time for the Brotherhood to band together once more.
