Koi was nervous this time. Her pregnancy was going smoothly yes, but she was bigger this time and her usual lithe form was hidden under a hideous blob. She was especially distressed about her warrioress body. She knew that the time was getting more and more close but she had sent liza out for a meal they could share and because of an oncoming storm-nothing would be out. She hoped he wouldn't keep searching for something when all prey were hiding-cause she needed him but she didn't even think to call out in her pain.
she writhed in her den-sweat forming on her brow. The pains were terrible this time-last time they weren't so bad. Her purple eyes were squeeze shut as a contraction cut through her like fire. She flexed her paws and could not help but start to panic. She wanted liza there.
"ll-l-l-liza!" she called as loud as she could, barely a murmer. She started to panic more and started to get up to go find him but fell in her pain. It was starting to rain outside-she could hear it. Lightening flashed over head. "liz-z-z-z-za!" she murmered again.

Luckily for koi, Liza had a sort of sixth sense about these things and no sooner had he reached the hunting grounds, he turned back and started towards the den.
As a second flash of lightning lit the den the soft, custard yellow male raced in from the onslaught of rain, dry and smiling a gentle careful smile. He raced to her side his dark mane falling around her as he made himself in to a big cushion c** throw pillow behind her.
"I..I'm here." He manages with barely a stutter, his deep orange eyes smiling happily as he groomed her neck with an ever so gentle caress. He was there and he knew what would happen next and over all it didn't frighten him, he loved Koi because she was a good and kind mistress and he loved Koi because she brought him the joys of being a father, he felt very protective of her, which was quite the opposite of him he usually felt. He would stand up to anyone to protect Koi and the babies he knew were coming, even a female, which was saying a lot for the poor yellow dope.

She was tempted to try and get up but felt her legs go weak. She lay there, panting as another bolt hit the atmosphere. She winced, not liking the thunder and rain-not at this time. Not now; not with her babies coming. She winced, holding her eyes shut against the light. She opened them upon feeling a presence in her den and she opened her eyes to see the familiar form of her love; Liza.
"l-liza!" She stammered quietly, shifting in her discomfort. She felt so much more at ease with him present. She sighed, leaning against him. She was so grateful for his attentiveness. "Oh Liza... it is so much more painful than last time!" She said quietly, shutting her eyes as another contraction hit. She leaned against him and began to breath heavier.
She felt the contractions getting stronger and stronger. She winced, her purple eyes illuminated in the dark by another lightening strike. "This storm is terr-rrible!"

Liza smiled a sweet and comforting smile as he leaned over to groom Koi's face, his tongue a gentle massage. "It's okay, I'm here." He croons his voice calmer than it ever was, at this time he knew he had to be the strong one for koi, he had to be the strong one.
"I know it hurts but they will cccome soon." He stamers looking out at the sheets of rain that flooded over the dens mouth. "Ththey must like the water." He grinned trying to take the lionesses mind off what she was doing and turning it to a joke, probably the first he had ever spoken.

Koi puffed and wiggled her back legs in discomfort. She mumbled something incoherently to herself; leaning against him. His kissed did help her calm down a bit-one must not panic at at time like this. She felt another contraction coming and stretched her legs. "Ooooh. Liza!" She felt the baby coming. She moaned; hearing the rain and lightening. Oooh, she felt another contraction and in one swift moment-a child was born.

A boy came into the world. Koi began to clean him, helping to make him breath. A boy with delightful orange. Like Mother more than father. She was pleased; looking over her shoulder at Liza. "A boy... As beautiful as his parents!"

Liza grinned in a silly, over pleased manner reaching over Koi's spine to groom the little male cub. "Welcome tot he world little son." He smiles gently scooping the boy closer to his mothers belly. "You're doing well Koi." He smiles returning to grooming her face to help comfort the laboring mother.

Koi sighed, looking at their new born baby... new blood. Fulfilling their destinies! She clenched her jaw at another contraction, but no cub came. She had a few moments to breath.
"What a charming boy he is!" She reached down and caressed the yellow tuft on his head. "Little baby boy of orange!" She smiled, her maternal instincts tugging at he heart. Then-another contraction came; this time another cub was born.

A girl

{Sorry, didn't realize it started! Its my first birthing rp, so feel free to ask me to change it if it seems... Uh, unreal?}
The male cub took his first breath of fresh air, aided by his mother, before he gasped for air on his own; although his breathing was irregular at first, it quickly stabilized. He twitched a little, shivering when he felt something warm on his body, before relaxing; it was oddly comforting and enjoyable, this warm sensation... Somehow, the surrounding scents relaxed him too.
It was then he felt himself being moved, and gave a soft cry out of shock. He shivered again when he was once again on the ground; following his nose and intuition, the cub somehow made his own way to a sweet scent... And his first taste of food. He relaxed completely, happily feeding with the warmth and scent of his mother nearby.
