█ ◞ Mei-Ying has dark brown, mid length wavy hair. She usually wears it down, but has been known to pull it back on hot days or if she wants it out of her face.
Skin tone wise, it's a light tan. She does enjoy being out in the sun, however her preferred seasons are fall and winter.
She has dark, greenish brown eyes that predominantly look brown from a distance.
Mei is rather small and petite, standing at barely 5'4" and weighing about 115 pounds.
She moves with an easy grace and is seemingly very gentle and soft spoken upon first impressions.

xxMei-Ying is the product of a rather affluent family. She has a mother, father, and younger sister named Meilin who live in Italy currently.
Being half Italian and half Chinese, she grew up with a rather large extended family who did everything in their, admittedly vast, power to involve themselves in her life as well.
She is not very close with most of her family however, despite all of the "vacations" in her youth to countries where part of her extended family lived.
She is somewhat of the black sheep, if you will, of her family, and wasn't surprised in the least when her family all but rejoiced when she had told them she wanted to go international for her College schooling.

xxShe has trust issues. Let's get that out there, because it's definitely one of her larger problems.
Mei is what they called their "accident" child, the early marriage surprise that neither of the heirs of powerful and influential families had anticipated.
Growing up with parents who were under the impression that their money could buy both her silence and a fulfilling childhood was damaging.
These actions from her parents actually had her believing from a young age that a person's friendship or loyalty was only as strong as the amount of whatever they were receiving from you. Be it Money, Sex, Secrets, What have you.
After moving away from her family however, and somehow gaining two of the most amazing friends; Damien and Whitney, she now knows that to not be the case.
She still doesn't trust others however, and she will never take things at face value.
Mei will often spend more time analyzing a situation and trying to predict the best thing to say or how to react than actually follow through and doing.

xxOne of the previously mentioned friends showed up at the door of her apartment one day with a beautiful and simple box made from a dark wood.
Mei was confused at first as to why he was so wound up and obviously excited.
He handed it to her, with the uncharacteristically solemn comment to "resist the temptation" and things just unfolded from there.

▪ She is easily startled by loud disturbances.
▪ Her favorite foods are: Spaghetti Carbonara, Dragonfruit, Tangyuan, Hot Pot, and Juice. Lots and lots of juice. * v *
▪ She has a hobby of cooking, predominantly Italian and Cantonese food.
▪ She is trained in several form of martial arts, and is particularly adept at disarming her opponents.
▪ She doesn't hold grudges, she treasures them.
▪ Interestingly enough, she has given her mother's maiden name to Yul as his surname.
