Rune swam langedly around the kelp. He held his hand out and brushed it through the reeds as he swam past, enjoying the feeling on his palm. Today was turning out to be rather uneventful, much slower than he would usually hope for. If only I had some company. He thought as he twirled a finger through his hair.

The female had been swimming on her own for some time. She wasnt sure she even knew what to say to strangers anyway.
She had become somewhat of a recluse in her childhood days, until she grew to adulthood.
She became a pretty female, definately looking like the sun, of which she was named.
Her eyes caught hold of a movement ahead of her, she smiled slightly, yet was charged with the need to swim away quickly.

Rune spun around doing a rhytmic dance in amongst the kelp, his hair spiraling around behind him. He bobbed up and down, turning this way and that in smooth motions. As he spun around again, he saw a glimmer of light amongst the kelp, a reflection perhaps. Pausing in his dance, his arms drawn out wide in mid motions, he called out. "Hello little light. Come show yourself to me."

Little Light? She had never been called something so affectionate.. Yet she was sure he had no idea it was another fish swimming.
As she got closer she noticed the detail in the male, and the color of his fins caught her attention immediantly.
He was beautiful.
"Hello!" She said, trying to be bright but almost looking a bit awkward.
How did she speak to someone so lovely, if she never was around anyone?
"It's a pleasure to meet you."

A smile crossed his face as he saw the female emerge. "Oh hello little light." He gazed upward through the reeds. "There isn't much light in here but now you're here." He flicked his tail, pushing himself closer to her, extending his hand once in reach. "What is a light such as yourself doing in a kelp forest such as this?" He extended his other arm in an arc as if to indicate the vast expanse of the forest, though it wasn't really very large.

She blushed a bit, and waved to him with a little flipper.
"Well thank you, you are awfully nice."
She smiled once more, a genuine smile this time.
"I was honestly just looking for something to occupy my time."
She said flicking her tail a bit.
"My name is Soleil Moon, but you can call me Soleil."

"I was just dancing. One of my secret pleasures in life." He gently pulled away and did a slow spin for her, finishing in a bow.
"My name is Rune." He straightened himself again. "Soleil... what a fitting name for a little light." He stared off towards the surface again. "A reflection of that mysterious light."
He returned his gaze to her with a smile. "Well how can we occupy your time?"
((I'm not sure about size diff between evolved and unevolved I should ask someone))

[Lol, yeah Im not too sure either.]
She smiled.
"Your name fits you very well.."
She said, her blush fading.
She was becoming more comfortable with the male. He was nice [not to mention handsome!] and she wondered what she had that was important enough to talk about.
After all, she hated talking just to talk, she preferred to actually have something important to say..Though, that wasnt always possible.
"Well.. What do you like doing Rune? Other than dancing I mean."
She said with a gentle little smile.

"Hmmm..." He moved very deliberately, placing his hand on his chin.
"I like enjoying life and all its pleasures." He looked her over thoughtfully.
"Dancing, eating, adventuring, enjoying the company of a lovely female." He smiled mysteriously at her.

She blushed a little, trying to cover it with her fin.
"Aww,"
But she couldn't think of anything else to say for a moment.
"Well you're very handsome yourself." She said, smiling slightly, unuaware that something better could have been said to him.
"I mean, I love life. I like to see someone who can enjoy it also."
She said with a slight little nod, as much as a nod as a fish could muster.
Just because she was a solitary betta lately, didnt mean she didnt enjoy life.

"Why thank you miss Soleil." He smiled as she complimented him.
He reached out and ran his hand over her top fin.
"Well then we still haven't decided what we sha'll do to keep us entertained today."
He looked around quizically, trying to decide the best course of action.

She giggled as he ran his hand over her fin, it almost tickled!
Her eyes gleamed as she 'Hmmmm'ed.
What could she suggest they do?
She thought deeply, and finally she smiled.
"Well you like to dance, right?"
