Lightly rapping his knuckle against the door, Sheldon fixed his shoulder as the guitar hung loosely about a leather strap. Grazie stood by the side of his leg, one foot socked but apparently missing its shoe. She clung tightly to the side of his leg, tiny nails digging into the denim of his acid washed jeans.

"You really should put this on Grazie." Sheldon said as he held up her other shoe by the tongue. "Isn't your foot cold?"

Grazie shook her head, a small smile cracking upon her young face. "Nyoh!" cried Grazie in protest as she pulled herself away from her father's pants. "I noooo want wearrrr!"

Sighing, Sheldon tapped his knuckles against the door again. The musician had a show that night for the opening of a new restaurant. Since he had no one to look after Grazie, he turned to having someone babysit instead. He was weary of leaving the hyperactive tyke with another, as he hoped they didn't complain. But seeing as Grazie is normally calm when her father isn't around, he really didn't have much to worry about. Bending down to eye level with the Herald, Sheldon pushed her hair out of her face.

"You be on your best behavior now." Sheldon said as he smiled. "Don't make your temporary caretakers mad."

Grazie nodded her head and smiled. "Padda, Graz Graz be goooood! Be goooood!"

Sheldon smiled and hugged her, in which she hugged him back, squishing her face into his chest. "I'll be going now Grazie-bear." Sheldon said as he waved her off. "Wait there until they open the door."

Nodding her head, Grazie waved at Sheldon that turned around towards the door, her zebra plush tightly squeezed to her bosom. Who were these people and why were they going to take care of her for a short period of time?

Kain Nigel was scared. He had never been here before, which was normally not a problem, the only difference here was, he was responsible. So what if he had applied for the job...it didn't seem like many would that night, most the teens were out 'n' about enjoying their life. Ah well, its not like he could ever enjoy a completely normal life...that wouldn't be right would it?

The Herald sighed, tugging his backpack carefully over his glass wings. Inside he tucked away everything he could think of bringing along. Books, toys, blankets, food, drinks, and some money in case all failed. Just in case, Kain had the sense to pack a spare set of clothes, and slip a plain dark coloured hoodie over his usual shirt. It could be cold, or even worse, he could be there all night.

As Kain Nigel approched what he beleived to be the place, he started to think about what exactly he was getting into. The child could be as delightful as those he had met before, most of those were Heralds too. That would be quite exciting. On the other hand, it could be one of those brats that had teased him all through childhood. Too late now...

There were a couple steps of a stranger walking past, which more a moment almost made the demonic being turn tail. Get a grip Kain! He floated up to the doorway and gave it light tap with his knunckles. Please answer soon. "Hello~ Anyone there...its the Babysitter" he called out in the crisp night's air.

Turning about, Grazie stared at the door. Who was that? Walking up to the door, Grazie looked up at the large bronze sphere to represent the mechanism needed to open the entrance-exit. Her blue eyes were mesmerized at the gold sheen of the knob before shaking her head to break the trance. Grazie knew for a fact that she wasn't suppose to open the door when Sheldon wasn't home. Than again, Grazie couldn't stay home alone without the supervision of a parent. Blinking, Grazie toddled her tiny fists against her head. Hard decisions, hard decisions! Sighing, Grazie took the initiative to open the door. However, the knob was way above her height. Growling, Grazie flipped the small letter slot open. There was obviously someone on the other side, though she was still weary of them. "Opinnn da dawwwrrrr!" Grazie said as she called to the other. "Toooooaaa shorrttt to weach!"

Opinion the drawer? Too short wrench? What was going on here? Was this the right place? Again taking Tamuril's habit he shook his head. The voice was very young, even though he couldn't see who the owner was without jeopardizing the sight he had. He rubbed out the blindfold, wishing the night would come when he could just throw it off again. Okay, think, think. Opinion the drawer....opinion on the door.....Door makes more sense than drawer at least. Thats what he was standing outside of,...oh! Not opinion at all, Open! Open the door!

Pleased with his small success for that evening, he turned the handle and opened the door easily. Though he had a sudden panic of 'what if I was wrong' it was washed over with releif, as he felt the presence of another winged being. Strangly this time though, the other winged being smelled a lot like sweet bamboo...the kind he used to have back in his 'old home'.

Not knowing his best move, Kain waited for the other to respond to him rather than the other way around. In the past he would of been scolded for this, but the shocks of the evening had put this to the back of his mind.

Grazie was frowning the entire time until she caught sight of the other's wings, to which caused a quaint smile to appear upon her face. "Hiwwo biggggg talllarrr wanger!" she waved as ivory hair lay pressed against and smothered down the sides of her face. "Youuu must be 'ere to watch Graz Graz!" she giggled into her palms. "I Graz Graz! Hiwwo! Whaaaat is yoruuuuu name?" Stifling another giggle, the little Herald hopped from one to the other in excitement. This was about the second time she was meeting someone who was also a Herald. It excited her really, but she was still weary if this was the person to be watching her. He looked scary, though she hid her fear away from her utter excitement. Holding up a small plush zebra, Grazie outstretched her hands for the other to take it. "That is Zamboo!" she called with light wiggles of her toes. "He be fwiend too! Say Hiwwo Zamboo!"

Kain was heart melted. How could another be so adorable?! He laughed lightly as he greeted her, crouching down a little, more to her level. "Graz, Graz, eh? As in Grazie? Well my name in Kain Nigel...but you can call me Kain if you like" he smiled sincerely. Her cheeriness went striaght through him, like sugar into water. It seemed to bring out the best in him, his more child-like personality though he tried to keep up his manners. Who wouldn't? No matter what he was in the presence of a lady, even if she was a very young one. Remembering this he gave her a tiny bow with his wings, slipping the backpack to the ground before folding them away safely. Last thing he wanted was another cracked wing. By the minute his smile was growing - she was just acting so cute, which was hard to miss when her voice was so high with such funny words.

At the word 'Zamboo', he just couldn't take it anymore. He lifted the blindfold ever so slightly showing one crimson red eye, reflecting the little animal in it. Grazie was just as cute as he imagined. He winced slightly in pain, the blindfold falling back in place. The pain was worth the prize. Kain grinned, "Hey there Zamboo! " he replied joyfully taking the plushie from the Herald. "Well, it looks like we have quite a few friends here then " he continued, bringing the toy close before playfully balancing Zamboo on his shoulder, resting aganist his right wing. "Well, it looks like we have quite a few friends here then, maybe we should all get it inside, I brought some cookies!"

Grazie eyes brightened with pure gilded sweetness as she heard the small mention of cookies. "Krane!" she giggled, pawing at his leg as if she was a kitten clawing up towards its mother. "Rookies!" Giggling under her breathe, Grazie's wings outstretched than relaxed. Blinking, Grazie yawned slightly. Night was nearing which was what caused the sudden spasm of tiredness. However, than didn't stop the small girl from bouncing up and down. From one foot to another, Grazie weight was shifted. The young Herald was still getting used to her wings and the uncomfortable feeling was running its way down her back. To take her mind off the tingling sensation, Grazie pawed at Kain again. "Ensride! Jesh!" Grazie giggled. "Krookies!"

Kain refrained from bursting into laughter. Who knew /anyone/ that could get so excited over cookies as this little one? It really didn't help that he had already been renamed this evening. He grabbed his bag and allowed himself to dragged inside by Grazie. The door clicked shut behind him, and Kain allowed himself to listen. Every time a sound was made, he got a good idea of the room he was in, but for now he would have to rely on the younger one for help. "So then, weres the Kitchen? We are going to need a plate for the Cookies...and maybe some milk? Do you like milk?" He asked curiously while trying to work this out himself.

While this was going on, he rumaged through his bag for the cookies, almost dropping Zamboo. With one last swift motion he managed to find the little jar, and land the plush toy on it. This amazed Kain, there was no way he was good at sports, but this was fun. "Looks like Zamboo going to guard them until we sort this out" he laughed to himself

Before answering, Grazie paused for a moment to watch the older Herald perform the stunt of catching Zamboo. She giggled and clapped her tiny hands together at the performance, still bouncing from one foot to the other. Stopping her motions, Grazie shook her head as she puffed out her cheeks. "Graz Graz no have moo moo miiikuuuu." she said as her youthful voice stretched out the sentence. "It make Graz Graz go poot poot!" Grazie held her nose to perform the gesture of how stinky it was. However, she turned and pointed down the narrow hallway towards the opening to the side. "Kitty over there!" Grazie giggled as her feet shuffled down the hallway. Pointing the other way, Grazie pointed to the opposite door. "That be water woom. It has mad swirly twinger in there."

It was at that point in time that Kain Nigel realised how easily embrassed he was. Before now, he hadn't managed to make such a mistake. Following orders is pretty easy, especially when their your own but when your leading anything, things get harder. At first, he blushed a little because of Grazie reaction to his mistake, but then the whole idea of what happens with the Herald and milk gave his rosey cheeks even more colour. Why did he have to say that in the first place?

Luckily, Grazie was still keeping his full attension, so maybe his new colouring would dissappear before anyone else noticed - not that there were many this time around. Kitty....not cat like his own...proberly Kitchen, afterall there was no mewing, and no child would point over a cat right? Why in the world though, why she show him to a boiler room? Kain pushed this to the back of his mind. He wasn't going to take any chances this time around. "Well, if you don't want milk, why don't we go to the living room, and you can gave a cookie right from the jar, don't be too messy though. I don't want to be tidying with you before we can play any games"

Grazie felt a small spark of energy course through her body as her feet carried her back towards the vicinity of the living room. She caught hold of the jar of cookies and dragged them to the couch. Ripping the lid off the jar, Grazie stuffed not one, but several crunchy coins into her mouth. As her mouth chewed to crush the cookies into little pieces, Grazie beckoned Kain over as she pointed towards the television. Her speaking was muffled as she tried to call out she wanted the television on. It was about that time and Grazie wanted to watch her show with the company of the other.

Although Kain followed Grazie into the living room and did what he was asked to do (, turn on the tv) his mind was in a childish conflict with itself. Evidently, at that moment in time, the sense of power had changed, from himself and Grazie being equal, to well....Grazie in power.

It kind of hurt, but he was used to that - Bethan had always told him that females should stay in power, not the males. He didn't show this to the other herald but instead, slumped down next to her, passing her the remote as the strange sounds babbled on about this and the other. Tv was had to understand without images, but it was a challenge. "Whats this then?" he asked curiously. While waiting for a response, he managed to grab one the cookies from the jar. Poor Kain would need to tidy....and buy more biscuits again.

Still chewing lightly, the blue eyes of the young girl glazed over the lighted television screen. Some kind of singing puppet projected its vocals as it contently sang out the alphabet and a word that begins with each significant letter. Grazie bounced up when the sock puppet said "G". She chimed, "Grazieee!" at the letter before giggling and poking at the other male's nose. "It be telebox show." she said, smiling as she felt smart for saying "telebox". "It showwww about sing sing friend. He sing sing about alfer-betta!"

Kain sulking was put on hold as Grazie starting bouncing around the room. Where did she get the energy from? As far as Kain knew, he had never had that kind of energy at her age. It was only when she gave back to poke his nose, the herald snapped out of it. "Alferbetta....you mean the alphabet?" he asked throwing himself back into the flow of things. "Well Im guessing I just found out your favorite letter....can you tell me all the letters before your favorite one...in order of course" he asked playfully picking her up off his lap and sitting her with him on the floor. It had taken Kain a long while to learn the alphabet himself, he was curious if this one knew any better than himself.
