After the disaster that leveled most of their commanding headquarters, the leader of the Kore left to find a more secluded place of safety. It's small, highly defensive and hidden carefully in the depths of space. Of course, as the leader of the Kore is an invincible being who takes on the name Haldis, security is far more lax than it should be.

Pen's body was swiftly delivered the station, Haldis eagerly awaiting the information that Pendari would give. The body was in irrepair on arrival, as expected, but Haldis got to work quickly.

With a touch of white light to her forehead, and a few other requested bits of machinery and resources, the wound in Pen's chest began to heal over. Her arm also began to regenerate.

When it was finished, Pen's eyes pulsed open. She sat up and screamed.

"Not so loud." Haldis said from her side. She was holding the little girl form, as Pen would be more familiar with it. Haldis touched her hand to Pen's forehead, a cold feeling filling Pen's body briefly, as if a bucket of ice water was dropped over her head. "There, traded in full." Haldis said, her smile spreading wide.

"What did you do? Where's Jarred?" Pen asked, choking on the dryness of her own throat.

Haldis stepped away from the medical table where Pen was still sitting. "I gave you life, and you paid your debt." Haldis tapped the tip of her forehead. "I know everything you know about Earth and its defenses. I know everything you know about Jarred and his technology. I've seen the plans you've seen. The majority of it is rather sub-par however, not the weaponry of course, those are really quite interesting, but there is much to grow on with the other bits." Haldis shrugged. "We're done here. You'll be going home now. My little message to earth. It'll be tender and sweet."

"I'd like to speak with Lankin first." Pen said her voice finally beginning to function more clearly.

Haldis ignored her. "A man who kills a thousand men is powerful, but a man who raises only one, is a god. Did you know that Gautrine? Haldis picked up a small blue ball from a tray of tools. She rolled it around in her hand, but avoided pushing the button at the top."How threatening is it to moral, to let your enemies know you can raise the dead?"

"I was dead?" Pen asked, her face holding a blank expression.

Haldis smiled, pressing the button on the ball. A mist spread out in the room, and as Pen breathed it in, she fell back onto the table, completely out.

Haldis quickly took the form of Lankin, and made a few calls. Pendari was on her way back to Earth, and Haldis had the location. She had no name, but the location was just as good. If she annihilated the location, she annihilated the threat. With Kore resources, even though the majority had been wiped out, it was still an easy enough task. "Send a call to Osis please," Lankin said in his gravely voice. "I need to call for an extermination of the planet Jishara. They may be part of our own universal alliance, but they've betrayed us dearly, and need to be set as an example. Leave no survivors, absolutely none."

Gate was the one who took the call, and it's expressionless casing held no amusement.
"Earth is massing forces for an attack on Osis. I am not to loose my planet for a suicidal goal, Lankin. Perhaps we should re-negotiate our terms."

"Our terms were simple, Gate. We freed you from Dr.Mizrahi, and in exchange you would follow our lead. There was no small print stating you would do what we say only if you wanted to. Let Osis hold it's own, you've claimed it could do so."

Araj the guard sat half asleep at his post. "'Join the Kore!' They said. 'You'd be a great assassin' they said. 'Adventure! Excitement!' they said. But NOOOOooooo; I'm stuck monitoring these same damn cameras for hours in a fortress that nobody knows about on a planet nobody knows about. I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THE HELL WE'RE PROTECTING IN THIS THING!" He yelled to himself. "A few more days of this... And I'm blowing the damn building up..."

Burning Disaster
Araj the guard sat half asleep at his post. "'Join the Kore!' They said. 'You'd be a great assassin' they said. 'Adventure! Excitement!' they said. But NOOOOooooo; I'm stuck monitoring these same damn cameras for hours in a fortress that nobody knows about on a planet nobody knows about. I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THE HELL WE'RE PROTECTING IN THIS THING!" He yelled to himself. "A few more days of this... And I'm blowing the damn building up..."

Jep chuckled as she walked in behind Araj, carrying a couple cups of coffee, "Raj, you say that almost every night. You mean it this time?" She handed him one of the cups, "five parts sugar, two parts coffee, how you like it, right?" She took a seat twirling around in the chair once before bringing it to a stop and setting a booted foot on the control panel. "You wanna watch cartoons instead of security feed? I mean hell, they are TV's after all. I can hook it up to my Z-Pod and we can watch a sitcom or two."

Araj sat, coffee in hand, staring at Jep. "How long have you had that?"

"A few days. Finally got one of the supply blokes to sneak it in for me." She smiled, "I was saving it for your birthday, but since you seem so desperate tonight," she shrugged, pulling the device from her pocket. "Has the latest episodes of Narutwiliyasha...."

"I was not to follow your lead, but to assist. The instant that you ask me to assist in the annihilation of my own is the instant we reconsider our terms. We worked on removing Johachim, I help you. Do not give away what is not your's to offer, Lankin."

"Ask you to assist in annihilating your own?" Lankin asked, almost in a girlishly sing song voice. "Are you pouting because Earth is now claiming Osis as their main target? Or are you pouting because I'm sending forces to bring a different planet to it's knees?"

"Earth is bringing their full might to bear on Osis. There is absolutly no chance that I can hold the planet, especially with you dividing your forces. I strongly recomend you leave the planning of attack to strategists, and you reap the rewards. You risk far too much for far too little gain. Thesys was a world of criminals. You need not have'Distracted' Earth with your ploy, you have only lost Osis and all it had to offer as a result."
PostPosted: Tue Mar 17, 2009 4:02 pm

Lankin chuckled. "So you insist that I send all forces to Osis so that you can hold your own? You were claiming the other day that Osis could protect itself from Earth. I'm assuming this means you were lying about your usefullness. And for a 'strategist' you spend too much time whining about what has happened and not enough time planning for the attack. Pull yourself together, Gate, you're acting like a five year old."

Lankin's smile tweaked. "I believe when you were brought on, you were warned that the actions of the Kore may appear cruel, ridiculous, and otherwise hard to understand. We reap the rewards we seek to reap, and have done so quite successfully. As for Osis, hold it. Don't be a fool and assume that you would be more prepared if Earth attacked a week or month later, as they would have attacked I assure you, and they would be far more prepared. As it is now, we poked the nest and angered the bees, before retreating to our own stronghold where the battle will be fought on our terms. There is however one problem, complicated by the emotional state of the Bowdn heir, and his releasing access to all of the companies technology. We can, however, send all the information we have on Bowdn and its heir."

Lankin leaned back in his chair. "But as for Osis, If it cannot hold itself, then it was never worth what you've claimed it to be. And it more or less earns it's place as a sacrificial pawn."

Gate simply closed the channel without a reply, choosing to ignore Lankin, and deal with issues his own way.

"Aww, thanks Jep. You're the best." He took a sip of his coffee. "So what're we waiting for? Lets hook it up."
