She'd really blown her chance to get out of the cursed jungle. She should have just let the b*****d show her the way out, but her bitchiness had gotten the better of her and three days later she was still in the dark depths of the vine-filled land. She lay at the bottom of a tree, clearly looking miserable and like the fighting spirit had left her. What was the point anymore? She was going to be stuck in rogue territory forever, never again would she be blessed for her paws to touch the soft and lovely sand that she so longed for.
She groaned slightly and rolled to her side, shuddering as more and more similar thoughts came pouring through her mind. This was all that goddess's fault, spiriting her away as she did. Chanda sneered slightly as she pulled herself up to a seated position, trying to turn her despair and hurt back into the anger she carried so well. "Tricking an innocent cub like she had... my Finar-si smite that goddess." She muttered to herself, wondering if it was even possible. She should have never trusted a divine being that was not the firekin's own, that had been mistake one. Mistake two had been going through these rogue lands without allying herself to anyone, or trying to learn of her surroundings or anything useful. She had failed in every aspect of her life, she was beginning to feel. She groaned again and shook her head, it was no use trying to stay angry. She hated herself, her surroundings and had doomed herself to dying away from her loved lands.
Then something surprising happened, tears began to roll down her cheeks! How long had it been since she'd had a real good cry? Ages she suspected.. But she couldn't stop them from coming, and truly she didn't see the point. It wasn't as if anyone was even around.

He was sick and tired of all this stuff with Dhoof, he didn't even have any idea where his brother had gotten off to, or if it had anything to do with that Kizingo princess. He was too proud to go busting into the pride to ask, especially when he didn't belong. Not that he really thought they'd lift a damn paw to stop him though, they seemed to be pretty anti-violence, and that was another damn annoying thing about them. What Dhoof saw in that land he would never know. Whatever the case, he couldn't wait around forever, and he needed to find somewhere that wasn't so.. insane. This place was pretty insane.
He was trudging through the jungle, heading off in a blind stalk, not really paying much attention to where he was going. He knew the direction more or less, he didn't need to pay that close attention to what he was doing. It was only when he saw the red lioness up ahead that he paused. He felt his teeth bare, eyes narrowing on her. That bloody good for nothing witch still hadn't found her way out of the ******** jungle yet? He supposed she was just too damn proud to ask any of the 'vile creatures' in the land for help. He was just about to give her a piece of his mind, too, when he got a little closer and realized she was crying?
He almost laughed at that, at the thought of someone so stony and bitchy crying, but he knew for a fact that upset lionesses were usually more violent than calm ones.
"You could just ******** ask for help, you know," he said finally, staring off into the distance, and not at her. He felt his jaw setting tightly, and it was clear he was making an effort to kind of be nice. Kind of.

Her gaze jerked toward the source of the voice, her eyes wide and surprised. Why the <********> did he always have to show up? Immediately she'd tried to stop her crying, taking a deep breath to try and calm herself. It had been a mistake, she began to cough and choke and looked away, clumsily climbing to her feet. Instantly she felt awkward and like he'd witnessed a part of that he'd never been meant to see. It wasn't fair, she felt so... weak. Disgusting. Why did he have to see her like this. Her eyes were still wide, though she'd turned her back on him, her body hunched over as she continued to splutter and cough. After a few minutes it died away and she sat panting a moment, staring at a rock. She glanced over her shoulder almost in a manner which hinted she was expecting him to be gone by now. Her gaze jerked back off of him when she spotted him still there, not even looking at her.
"Whats the bloody point any more?" She muttered, her voice quiet but her words were still hard. "If it's not this place it's just another.. I'm never ******** getting home.." She spat out, her gaze shifting along a vine covered tree as she spoke. As the words left her mouth she felt ten times more horrible. At least in her mind she could deny those types of thoughts had ever existed once she felt more herself. But saying them out loud like that.. made them much too true. "Besides... I haven't run into anyone since you." She added, almost stubbornly as if she didn't want to give up this fact for one reason or another. She shifted her paw up, dragging it across her eyes. The damn tears wouldn't stop now that they'd started, and she was sure is was evident in her voice no matter how hard she made her tone.

"You really are hopeless, aren't you?" he sighed out, growling under his breath at the attitude she had. How stupid. She was just going to sit here and rot away, act like a freaking little baby because, oh no she was too proud to ask for directions and too stupid to figure it out all by herself. Wasn't that some s**t? "Ever stop to think that maybe a rogue knows their way around the rogue lands and that it wouldn't be hopeless asking them because, oh I dunno, they could probably guide you through them without much trouble?" He was starting to get snappy again, but he much preferred her when she was snappy, not when she was doing this 'woe is me' crap.
"Yeah, you haven't run into anyone since me because you're stuck in the middle of a freaking jungle," he muttered, taking a few steps forward towards her. He sighed and shook his head, not believing that he was even thinking this. "Did you ever even stop to ask if maybe I'd ******** take you home?" He had come here with his brother, to hide from his mother, but now that Dhoof was gone it didn't really much matter anymore, did it? Maybe she'd given up on them already.

Her lip curled as he asked his question and her tail lashed behind her, her annoyance building slightly. "Hopeless?" She spat, finally turning herself back around to face him. Her mouth worked slightly but she realized she had no reply, she also realized she was being a huge baby about the whole matter. The option of asking a rogue had slipped into her mind a few times, but she'd always quickly dismissed it on the fact that rogues were gross and she didn't want to spend so much time with one. Her eyes narrowed slightly, her anger swirling in the pit of her stomach as he kept talking, only because she knew he was right and it was pissing her off. Why should he be right?
"Of course I'm stuck in the middle of this ******** place-" She'd been about to say it was because who in their right mind would live here, and that's really why she hadn't run into anyone to take her away from the place, but she cut off as he asked if he could take her to her home lands. "Of course I wouldn't ask you something like that." She scowled but she didn't state why she'd never ask him such a question, she thought it was fairly obvious she thought the two would slit each others' throats out of annoyance if they traveled anywhere together. Still... he was better than anyone she'd watched from a distance, strong-minded and all that... She looked confused for several seconds then rolled her eyes, turning herself away from him again. Still, it was more to hide the expression of hope that she suddenly felt. "You.... you know where the desert is?" She said slowly, glancing over her shoulder with a forced frown on her maw. If he knew the way back then she would be... She watched him intently, letting the frown move away and just watching him with a rather neutral expression, the tears had finally stopped.

Well, at least it seemed to be shutting her up, and that was good. Whatever he was saying to her seem to be putting her at a loss for words, and when she wasn't at a loss for words, she wasn't finishing her damn sentences. He was quite proud of that fact and if she hadn't been on the verge of tears (why the ******** did she have to be crying? anything but crying) he probably would have rubbed it right into her typically smug little face.
"I don't know where you precious desert is exactly," he muttered, looking down at her even as she looked away from him for whatever reason. Now she was going to play shy? Whatever. He had a scar on his face from where she'd clocked him good when they were cubs, and now she was going to fake some pretense of being shy. "I heard others talking about it and your bloody pride when me and my brother lived with my mom near the pridelands, so I'm guessing it's probably somewhere near there." He sighed, rolling his eyes to look out at the dense jungle before him.
"If you want, I'll show you out of the jungle and ******** take you that way. I'll ask the lions in the Pridelands if they know how to get to your damn desert." Despite the fact that he was cursing, he really was being nice, and his tone was a lot calmer than it typically was.

She scowled when he stated he didn't actually know where the desert was. Right, of course this had been too good for it to be true. She wasn't even sure why he was offering her the help, considering she was none too kind to him at all. She was well aware that the way she treated most others would leave them with the thought of never speaking to her again, yet this moron always came back. Even if it was to taunt and degrade her. It really bugged her that he was doing this for her, confused her immensely.
"Right.." She brushed her paw across her face once more for good measure before she stood again, shifting awkwardly before turning to face him. Really, why did he have to witness her crying? She hadn't wanted anyone to see that... not ever. "Well. Fine, right. Yes, I want to go home." She said, trying to keep her tone sounding snappy as usual but it was no use, it was just flat and the tiniest bit annoyed. Mostly it seemed tired, but relieved. "I don't know why you'd do something like that for me but I won't question it. If you really will... then fine.. yes." She was staring at him, an untrustworthy frown on her maw. She swore to herself if he was just ******** with her she really would slit his throat.

He stood there patiently, or as patient as Aibi ever was, and let her gather herself together. He didn't want to start out on this damn journey if all she was going to do was break down again because she missed her precious pride so much. He just wanted to help her find her way back home, clear his conscience of this s**t, and be on his merry little way. He wasn't sure where the hell he was going to end up, but so long as he didn't have to deal with her anymore, that was fine by him.
"Well I wouldn't ******** lead you on," he muttered under his breath, narrowing his eyes on her, "I'm not that damn heartless." Sure, he was a lot of things, but heartless was not one of them for sure - at least not to someone who was crying her eyes out and lost in the middle of a ******** jungle with no way to get out. She was hopeless and scared, even if she didn't want to admit it, and that pulled and tugged on the little heart he had left - in such a disgusting way too.
"Anyway, I'm not going to stand around babbling about this all day. If we're going, we're going," he said finally, narrowing his eyes on her to make sure she wasn't going to burst into tears again, "you ready to go?" She better be, cause he knew she didn't have any love of this ******** jungle. He sure as hell wasn't going to pour his heart out about why he was being so nice either.

Her ears twitched as he said something under his breath, but she couldn't make out the words. Heartless... she rolled her eyes and shook her head slightly. She didn't like that phrase, if only because snottily she was ready to remind everyone that no lion was heartless, unless of course he was dead and something head eaten his heart. Maybe the only real reason that expression came into play was because of how how bloody obnoxious the heart was when it came to different emotions- chanda would much rather of preferred living without a heart.
He avoided telling her why he was doing what he was, but she couldn't really hold it against him. In the back of her mind she had the baguest worry he was about to lead her off of a cliff or something but she couldn't dwell on it. This could be her only chance home, and she was going to take it. "Of course I'm ready." She sneered, her tone wondering what the hell it was she wouldn't be ready with. It wasn't like she had anything in this jungle. She waited until he began walking, then she followed after him. "I swear if this is some trick.." She had been about to say his name when realized, not for the first time, that she still didn't know it. Did it matter? Well, maybe, they were traveling together now. "If you're going to be showing me my home then you might as well tell me her name." Her voice had finally came back to that demanding, childish tone.

"It's no trick," he muttered, throwing a glance over his shoulder as he began to walk, heading towards the edge of the jungle he knew would bring them towards the direction of the pridelands. "The sooner you get back into your desert lands, the sooner you can stop harassing me every time I turn around." Well, that wasn't exactly the reason he had decided to do this, but it sounded good. Get her home, make her stay, and she'd leave him the ******** alone.
"Aibisho," he muttered, just loud enough for her to here, eyes narrowing as the name fell out of his maw. It was a terrible name, he knew, it's meaning was something he'd never live down. "Just try to keep up, would you?" he said, pushing forward and going headfirst through the brush, barreling it donw.

She snorted and rolled her eyes. "Hmph, as if you're not the harassing b*****d yourself." She muttered under her breath, too tired to really argue too much with him. Besides, if she pissed him off too much he probably would lead her somewhere else unpleasant in these cursed lands.
As his name spilled out of his mouth her brows rose slightly. Why would a mother name her cub something like that? She hadn't really believed his mother was actually that terrible, regardless of how much he bitched about her but... shame? Disappointment.. the name could mean many things, all negative. Her own name meant something along the lines of 'fiery passion', and she lived up to it.. even if it was in a bit of a bad way. He didn't ask for it though, so she kept her mouth shut. She was sorely tempted to spit it out though, even thought to tell him it was much better than his own. Whatever, fine. He really did want to just get rid of her... take her out of his gross damned lands. Why did that suddenly tug at her heart as something hurtful?
She glared daggers at his back, scoffing when he told her to keep up. "As if I'd fall behind." She sneered, thinking you'd have to be rather pathetic not to be able to keep up with the likes of him. As he barreled through the bush she followed, flinching as twigs caught against her face. She jerked her head out of the way, stumbled and then regained her balance, cursing under her breath. She hated this jungle, she wished it would burn down.

He didn't want to talk about names, that was that, and he didn't want to hear hers. He was sure he'd find out eventually - he'd probably have to break down and ask so he could stop referring to her as 'b***h' and any number of vulgar words. Right now, though, he was reminded just how much his own name sucked. Names sucked.
"Hmph," he finally just grumped, narrowing his eyes on the jungle. "We're going to be out of the jungle soon," and that was simply the last thing he said. He walked through the vegetation, eyes locked ahead of them, trying to figure out how the ******** he had walked into this situation. How the hell did he ever walk into any situation? <******** his life.

It fell silent and Chanda reasoned that she was more than used to the quiet, so there was no need to break it. It wasn't as if she'd suddenly become friends with the big red b*****d in front of her, and just because he'd told her his name didn't mean they were going to play nice. Of course not, and she didn't want that.
His last statement made her feel a bit better though, because even the grassy plains were better to deal with than all of this green leafy bullshit. And then, before she knew it, they would be at her homelands. He would part ways, luckily, and she would be with her own kind. A kind that would hopefully appreciate her for her strength.END
