made of steel, painted to look like fire. instilled with magic so a burning heat radiates from its blade.

Alright, well, basically when your Role Play (RP for short), you type out what your character says or does. And there's multiple ways of doing this. The two most common constist of quotations(" ... ") and astericks (* ... *). If you use Astericks, anything inside those are what your character does, or actions. If you use quotations, anything inside those are what your character says (Much like a book). Remember, you don't have to do both. Now here's an example: "Alright, I hope this fight is a good one. Give it all you've got," Oni said, crouching down into his fighting stance. His right side was facing the opponent, and his awareness of what went on around him increased. He was ready to battle. Now you try something. 3nodding

ZeldaFanMan yeah, I knew that. can we use pics, too? to make it easier to describe? anyway, Zeldafan stood ready, facing his opponent , fists ready at his side. Erm... you can use an image for a type of weapon, or something to describe your character, but not for the battle itself. That's where your own skill comes in. It's up to you to make your attacks or actions as descriptive and intelligent as possible. Then it's up to a judge or referee to decide the winner after each player get's ten posts (This is part of Shadow Arena's special rules, not a general RP Rule. Keep in mind no God-modding (God-Modding is where a character, attack, or anything to affect the battle is obviously one sided or far too powerful. You can't blow up planets with your pinkie finger sweatdrop )) Now let's try a practive 5 post match. I'll go first. Oni stood up, and readied himself. "Alright, even though this is a practice match, I'll try not to hold back. I can't have you learn to fight someone when they're holding back, or you'd be overwhelmed in a real fight," He said, taking his fighting position again, this time his hand was on the hilt of his Shadow Blade. Next thing anyone noticed, Oni was in the air behind ZeldaFanMan, sword out and prepared for an overhead slash. "First thing, never be caught unaware!" (2)

You can dodge, just be sure it doesn't happen too often, or that's considered a type of God Modding. Also, nice description. Short, but sweet.)) Oni ripped his blade out of the ground, and re-sheathed his sword. "Now for fist to fist combat," he said, rushing ZeldaFanMan with a fury of well aimed punches, awaiting his reaction. (3)
