Maria was giggling as she danced along near the edge of the pond, chasing after a massive bull frog that didn't seem to want to be caught up in her hands. It had long legs and was able to keep a step ahead of the little pangolin girl, "Ahh... Ahh... wait, wait up Mr. Froggy!" She called after it as she ran.
Vorel was in the pond currently, submerged so only his eyes, nostrils, and mane could be seen from where he was. He was watching after his owl's sister who was at the edge of the water, playing with the frog... and the Frost was all but drooling... that frog looked soooo tasty but he knew that Maria would cry if he ate it... he would see what he could find in the pond that wasn't being protected by the girl's interested in it he decided as he sank down into the pond to follow along after the fish he could see.
Sitting at the edge of the water, watching Maria and fiddling with a ball of water was Ligeia. The magic user had several of the water sphere spinning around his hand as he concentrated on the element. He was good with ice but he wanted to be just as good with the water and the wind that made up his ice. As such he was practicing manipulating the water without allowing it to ice over.

Paulette was listening to Ryan taking in the fact that he himself couldn’t grow breast. " Sooo Steph has boobies because she is a women, and when you be big you get them , so when you be small you noo get them?" Ryan said then blinked a few times. " That's the gist of it my dear" Paulette said trying not to giggle. Ryan saw one of his father’s tenant slash roommate half naked. He was rather found of the sight he saw.
Paulette , Ryan , and Gabriel's beloved ducks Kyle, Trista , Gunner , and Ticker where in the car. She saw a dragon head sticking out of the pond. " O dear this could be bad , I mean dragons in a pond , Ohh wait I see women with it. I wonder if there from that Corp thing ?, Maybe I could learn more about this place , Ohh Polly this is crazy" her mind was racing with thoughts.
Soon the bomb exploded when Ryan saw two people just like him. " Miss.P look there's people like me , like me , like me". He said this enough times to get under Paulette's nerves " Ok lets get out and meet them" she said in a unsure voice. The ducks were about to get out when Paulette said " ohh not you guys , this is no place for ducks".
Did she just say a pond was no place for ducks , yes she did. No pound is safe for ducks when suspicious dragons where around. Maybe a normal Gaian wouldn’t of seen him , not even Ryan saw but Paulette is no normal Gaian.
Soon Ryan and Paulette where close enough to Maria and Ligeia to make contact. Ryan ran up to Maria " Hi , Im Ryan nice to meet you" he said taking out his hand to be shaken. " Sorry about my little friend here , he gets all antsy when he sees people his age , We didn't mean to be rude" she directed the comment to Ligeia. Paulette was acting like she didn't mean to run into them. She made a gesture like she was leaving. Ryan made a " I don't want to go face". She was a tricky older lady , she was.

The little pigtailed girl gave a sound of surprise when someone came up to having been concentrating so deeply on her attempts to catch up with the fleeing frog that she hadn't even been paying attention. She blinked a couple times when he held a hand out to to her before he she reached out to take his hand in hers... which were damp and muddy from repeated misses at grabbing the amphibian.
"Hello, hello Ryan." She said with a happy smile, her long armored tail wagging behind her, curling and uncurling, "My name is Maria and that is my Li!" She released Ryan so that she could point a finger over at the owl who was sitting at the edge of the water.
"And Vorel is..." Her soft voice trailed off as she looked around, at the pond, then up to the sky and blinked her lavender eyes a few times in confusion, "Vorel is missing... huh... Silly draggy."
Ligeia looked over at Paulette and made a little motion with his hand, letting the spheres of water drop back into the pond so he could give her his attention, "Its quite alright, this is a nice surprise for Maria to be able to meet someone her age. Normally she is stuck hanging out with two teenagers."

Ryan looked around with the girl. He then looked at the car full of unhappy ducks. They seemed to be giving puppy eyes at him. " Its ok ducks , its ok". He then looked back at Maria " DO you want to see my ducks"? He said in a really happy voice. "They can't come out because my nanny doesn't want them to get eaten" he said in a softer more bummed voice. Ryan hadn't put the two together yet.
Paulette watched the water fall back into the pond. " Well then we should sit and chit chat , so where did you learn your skills ?" she looked down at the water. Paulette being gifted in powers played clueless.
It had been so long since she truely used her powers , it was hard on her since she use to be so free with her skills , now she pretends to be a normal house nanny. She looked over at Ryan walking to the car " don't let them out" She shouted. "Its ok hes only showing her the ducks" she reashured Ligeia . She didn't want to say 'becuse of the dragon' so she didn't.

"Eaten?" The little girl asked, her lavender eyes going quite wide at the idea of the poor ducks that were stuck in the car being eaten by something, "Poor Duckies. Is it alright? I would like to see them. Ducks here always stay far away..." They were so tiny and Vorel was so big and he had such sharp teeth... maybe they were afraid of becoming a miday snack to big Frost?
Her tail curl around her waist like a designer scale belt as she fell into step beside Ryan and walked over to where the birds were waiting in the car. Was it just her or did they look sad over being suck in the car while everyone else had fun?
Ligiea gave a little smile, "I've had a few classes at school to learn the spells then a whole lot of practice on my own time to get better." He explained, "Water is only half of what I normally use but I want to be able to use the two bases of 'my element' as well as I use them together."
The owl's dark eyes followed his little sister but given how nice the boy's eyes were he wasn't to worried... though he did flush a little bit as the woman called out to the two children not to let the ducks out. He could make an educated guess as why... he glanced over at the water as the eyes and nostrils of the Frost appeared again, his jaws moving on whatever creature he'd snagged while he was swimming under the water's surface.

" Yeas she said eaten , but I don't think people eat duck" if he only knew the gruesome truth. He walked with the girl to the car. He saw what she did with her tail and tried to do it to , but it wasn't that easy for him. He got to the door. " Now we can't let them out , ok ?".
Even though the ducks looked like normal ducklings they themselves where special guardians. So they knew how to work the toddlers. They quacked and made big sounds.
He opened the door , the ducks stayed put . He picked up Trista the duck with the pink collar and handed her to Maria. He picked up Ticker who would be more likely to run off.
" Ahhh yes , I remember the days ....." what was she saying she had to think fast "of learning how to cook , Its not the same thing but you still have to work on it , I think I'm a pretty good cook , and I'm sure you will master your skills just fine , you look vary capable" now it was inquiry mode " So what school do you go to" she asked with such warm eyes as if she was about to hand him some warm cookies with love in them.

Maria gave a happy sound as the pink duck was handed over to her and she snuggled it close, "Oooo, you feel like Li's wings." She said in a delighted manner. Feathers were so soft and she loved the feel of them. She often found herself starring at or petting at her older brother's wings, "Your so pretty, Pinky Duck."
She looked over at the others one that Ryan picked up and gave that duck a smile too. It was a nice duck as well but nothing could be more amazing, at least in this moment, then a pink duck!
The owl boy gave a smile, "Thank you." He said, flushing just a bit at her complimentary words. He wanted greatly to be a good mage since he would never be a good fighter no matter how hard he tried. He was to delicate when it came down to it, his bones like those of a bird, "It's not exactly a school... well it has a school in it but its not just that."
Ligeia tilted his head back as he tried to organize his thoughts before he starting again, "I came from there too, both my sister and I and Vorel too. Its called D-Corp. I've learned from the two magic teachers there." He said, hoping that it made some sort of sense at all.

Ryan smiled as Maria played Trista " Do you have many pets?" he asked as he sat down on the car seat , his feet was sticking out of the car. He was astonished with Maria she was like no other girl he met. She didn't act like he was about to be tackled , and wasn't skiddish. The other three ducks climbed on his lap , then looked straight up at Maria.
" D-corp I think thats where Ryan and his sister are form ?" boy Paulette deserved an Oscar for this performance. " Ryans sister is with her Daddy right now , he spends lots of time with her since she is kind of .." she spoke softer and in a more caring voice "speaical". She took in a breath " You forget how speaical life is , then someone like Ryan and Ro come into your life , they really are a blessing to our family". Something about Paulette was so motherly. This is what Gabriel loved about her. " Now I must ask , your hair looks so nice , how do you work with it? its truely amazing". Paulette liked to look good , and always played with her hair. So she had to ask him.

Maria snuggled the duck close enough giving a little shake of her head, "I don't have any... but I think... if we did Baroness or Vorel might eat them on accident." She said then gave a little giggling sound. She knew that neither of the dragons were bad dragons they just... ate meat, "Sometimes Vorel is like a puppy... you should meet him!"
Ligeia looked over to where Ryan and Maria were playing with the ducks and gave a soft smile, "Yes, that is how we feel about Maria. She was a great addition to our family if a bit of a surprise." He said with a smile then gave a bit of a blush at the compliment on his hair, "Ahh... nothing special. Washing it at least every other day and I keep it braided when I go flying. It helps I am not as rough and tumble as my brother."

" Whats a Voreel" he said , he didn't quit catch what she was saying. He sat with the ducks , kicking his feet back and forth.
" Well you are blessed with great hair , my hair you have to die , fry and practically bake to get it to do anything" she laughed kind of hystaricly. " You know what , you should come over to the farm sometime , its like a ranch , we have a barn the size of a warehouse and Im not kidding , plus tons of land to explore , we are close to your school even, only about twenty or so minutes from it , now that is if Im thinking of the right school , far Aekea? We are a little east from it".
She was hoping she would mention her dragon. She kept an eye on Ryan he seemed to be doing fine , she then counted all the ducks "one , two , three , four" she said in her head. All was good.

Maria juggled the duck she was holding into one arm and pointed toward the pond, "Vorel is swimming. Probably eating fishes." She told him with a happy smile, "He gives good piggy back rides!"
Ligeia gave a bright smile, "We might have to do that, I am sure that Maria would love to visit a place like that." The owl spoiled his little sister something fierce... then again so did Ter and their father as well... between the three of them she would be the most spoiled little girl to come out of D-Corp. Strangely all the love, spoiling, and pampering didn't seem to have gone to her head she was just as sweet as wever.
The owl turned to watch his sister for a moment, seeing where she was pointing and gave a sort of unsure look, "Hope they put the ducks back first." He murmured, mostly to himself. He loved Vorel dearly but the Frost had eaten countless ducks from the park's pond... he wouldn't understand that those ducks were special if they got into the pond which might end badly.

Ryan looked wide eyed " Why would he eat the fishies? Is he big?" he looked around but couldn't see him. " I no see?" he raised arms up like kids do when asking questions.
Paulette fiddled with her bag , then pulled out a card with directions on it. She made it from times like this. She glanced at Ryan who was looking at the water. " Hey Mr. Man , make sure the ducks are in the car" she spoke stern and motherly. She would stop the dragon if anything endangered him so she wasn't to worried.
He put the three ducks in the back of the car. "Maria Im going to need her back" he gave kind of sad face , but she really wanted to meet who ever Vorel was. Trista gave her puppy eyes , but it wasn't going to work.

Maria tilted her head to the side as she tried to think about it for a moment then gave a giggle and a nod, "Yeah, very." She said after she sized the dragon up in her mind, "I am about the size of his head."
The little pangolin girl gave a smile and a nod, stepping forward to hold out the pretty duck to Ryan though only after she gave her one last hugging, "Byebye for now Pretty Ducky!" She said, waving to the duck that she had handed over to the boy.
Ligeia gave a smile of relief, "He's not a bad boy but... he doesn't exactly understand the difference between food and pets yet." The owl explained to Paulette before he pushed up on his feet. He could tell that Ryan and Maria were talking about the Frost so he should called Vorel out so they could play with him.

" Size of your HEAD" he shouted in a happy voice. He ran around in a circle because he was so excited. The expense of seeing this goliath was killing me.
Paulette handed out her card , " Well , Im sure all is good " she put on a fake smile. The pond started to move. Ryan and her eyes got real round and big. "Ahhh.... he looks .... really ... ummm .... ber.... utfull...." she stumbled on her words , she was about to say big but ment beautiful.
Ryan almost peed himself in excitement and went running to the dragons leg in a hug with no fear, Paulette stomach dropped to the ground when she saw this.

Vorel was more then happy to come out of the water when he was called by the owl. He came all but lunging out, shaking the water from his smooth, glassy scale and thick, furry mane before he trotted over to his owl. The Frost was even happier when the small boy came rushing forward to hug his leg. There were some that were afraid of him, something that Vorel didn't like at all as it made it harder to make friends with them
"He's not scared." Vorel told Ligeia in a pleased manner, ever keeping with Draconic as he hadn't been able to wrap his mind around English.
Ligeia lifted a gloved hand up to pat it against the dragon's side before nodding, "Your a good boy, there is no reason for anyone to be scared." He said then looked down at Ryan, "His name is Vorel if Maria didn't tell you already."
Maria came trotting up to the group, having to pause to catch her breath before she lifted her hands up to catch hold of some of Vorel's scales and set to climbing up his side. Being a Pangolin she was pretty adept at climbing despite her age, "Come on Ryan! Vorel can give us a ride!" She told her friend in a delighted way.
