Division Five

As a Court squad charged with the "Law" Court's defense and management, Division Five is in charge of passive defense, in short they're chief responsibility is in dealing with Uprisings both in Rukongai and in the Courts themselves. Acting as a sort of "Police Force" the Fifth Division has responsibilities to "deter and subdue" without inflicting permanent harm, Division Five has permission to use non-lethal force when dealing with un-armed targets, but may use all available resources to deal with the task set before them. Fifth Squad is given first priority upon arrival on Earth as well as near-immediate seal release. A result of this "freedom" though is a strict observation of rules in this Division, members admitted to the Fifth Court Squad are oftentimes hand-selected by the So-taicho themselves or are considered to be very trustworthy.
