This is a joint plot thread for two groups known respectively as the Xal de Zeklet’tau and the Akh. As they are what you might refer to as ‘sworn enemies’ or at least will be in the very near future, I’ve decided to just stick them in one thread instead of making two separate ones for them.
Please note that neither of these groups will EVER become prides, as I just don’t have the time for that, and they are just purely plot-based groups. Because of that fact, not only is this their interest thread, but it is also their permanent headquarters of sorts, where I'll be keeping track of memberlists and plots.
Please excuse the jumble, bits of this are still under construction.Contact InformationIf you want more information, or would like to talk to someone about anything related to this plot, feel free to PM or instant message the people on this list! <3Felyn AIM: TornxPuppet Krysin AIM: Misakoth

History behind the Xal The Xal de Zeklet’tau is a group founded by a lioness named Ipentshisi, who is what one might refer to as slightly crazy. Brought up by a mother who was not in the best condition as far as health is concerned, she spent a lot of time with her eldest (adopted) sister and her sister’s mate. From them she learned the woes of the world, tales of lions that did terrible things for nothing but their own pleasure. Slowly, over time, she began to grow restless at the idea that lions like that existed, and that there was no one in the world to stop them. As one might come to expect of a lioness on the brink of insanity, she convinced herself that it was her duty to stop these lions, and that the gods themselves had sent her to do this. Despite loving her mother dearly, once she was old enough she set out on her ‘destined’ quest. Along with her came her sister, Ainra (a sweet girl, but too easy for Shisi to manipulate), and a leopardess named Alfa.
Shisi soon realized that the key to her little ‘group’ being successful was having an army of able minions, both of body and mind. The first step in this process was seducing Dath, the god of chaos (because this makes sense, he never does anything terrible, right?), and landing herself with a litter of god cubs. This provided her with the key to her group’s success: seer cubs. Using her eldest litter’s ability, she could track down evil doers, sometimes before they even committed their crime, and eradicate them with the strength of her army. One might wonder how exactly a lion could be guilty before they actually committed the crime, but to Shisi, if they were thinking about then they were going to do it. Better to save a life then wait until the crime is committed, right?
After Shisi’s litter of cubs were born, both Ainra and Alfa decided to aid the cause by providing Shisi with their own litters, who would eventually become soldiers in her army. Amusingly enough, they too found gods to father their cubs, giving Shisi a horde of large, healthy seers. Although Shisi primarily only uses her eldest litter for their seer ability, she would probably not toss out any tip the others had on a ‘criminal’.
The Xal now Now that Shisi and Ainra’s cubs are adols (and Alfa’s not far behind), Shisi’s army is getting old enough to begin doing the job it was designed for. It also means that it’s time to start recruiting others that may want to join her cause.
Anyone that joins the group should understand that Shisi is kind of a zealot. Not only is she very adamant about the task set before her, she is very, very adamant about obeying the gods – every single one of them. If any of them came to her and asked her to do something, she would try her hardest to appease them. Of course, that could lead to some very sticky situations, with loyalties to opposing gods. As it is, right now, she has a debt to pay back to Dath himself. Though she doesn’t see it, he probably isn’t the best god to be indebted to.
All cubs currently in her plot (both her litters, Ainra’s, and Alfa’s) are free to leave if they wish, although I would hope that none of them would. The cubs would have been raised with heavy influence from Shisi herself, in an almost brain washing way, so that she could make sure they were devoted to her cause. Tales of horrible deeds would be known to them, as well as what they were expected to do when they were grown, in an attempt to keep such horrible things from happening.
*There is also a plot that I would like to occur later on, for which I will need one of these seer cubs to start seeing things opposite of the others. I would prefer it be one of Shisi’s own cubs, or her sister’s cubs, but the idea is that in the cases of the criminals that they intercept prior to committing their crimes, said cub sees them not committing the crime and thus they are actually innocent. Shisi, of course, would dismiss it, but it would be a device to cause a rift in the plot farther (much farther) down the line. Originally, we had someone else plotted to take this role, but they’ve since backed out. If anyone that has a cub in the group thinks they are up for this, please contact me!

History behind the Akh The Akh is a group started by a lion named Do’al, who was kicked out of his own pride for causing too much trouble, along with a twin brother whose name was slandered in the process. Though Do’al and his brother do not get along in the slightest, he is one of the few creatures in the world that Do’al wouldn’t dream of harming.
Do’al himself is often considered heartless. He also is quite faithful to the god of chaos, as this is the one bit of faith he retains from his pride, and regularly pledges to cause as much chaos and mayhem as possible (it’s a bit of a weird idea of faith, certainly). He harms others for his own personal gain, or simply for his own amusement, depending upon the situation. He is not an all out blood-and-guts slaughtering sort, for he is quite clever, and often plots his plans with great thoroughness before executing them.
At some point, Do’al grew restless with his lone-wolf rogue life, and began to look for others of similar interests. Whether it is due to some growing need to lead and be in power, or because he simply misses the days where he had a constant companion in his twin (no matter how much he claims to detest him), it’s unclear. His first recruit was a young lioness named Kip, who seemed ultimately sweet, aside from her tendencies to torture small animals. He has a growing fondness of her, even if he is not exactly the most loyal sort.
The Akh now First and foremost, it should be known that the name ‘Akh’ is not a name chosen for them by Do’al. Do’al isn’t the sort to name his group, none of them probably would be. It is a name chosen for them by Shisi (or at least a name that she will choose in the future), who uses it to refer to them, since they will be quite the stars of the seer visions once they begin to do things on a large scale. Do’al would probably never use the term, and certainly wouldn’t know of it until he heard Shisi use it. (The biggest reason the name even exists aside from Shisi using it to refer to them is so that OOCly, people can use it to refer to them, as names just make everything easier.)
That aside, Do’al is looking for other like-minded souls to join his group. He doesn’t discriminate against species, as the only general requirements are often a love of blood and mayhem. He is looking for all sorts within this range: strong and bullheaded, clever and crafty, dumb and bloodthirsty. As long as they can work within a group and want to help him be a general terror to society, he has no problem taking them under his figurative wing.
Anyone that joins should keep in mind that while Do’al would look out for his fellow ‘brothers and sisters’ before anyone else, he is not a very loyal lion at heart. If it took selling out one of them to survive, or for the whole to survive, he would very likely do it. It’s not so much a group meant to be bound by loyalty, but by a common interest.

In the future, Shisi and Do’al will become enemies. Shisi, like the crazy lioness she is, will seek to eradicate the Akh entirely. Do’al, being one out for torture and games, will likely string her along and terrorize her bit by bit. At this point, not much of it is mapped out, as both groups are only really just getting their ground work started.
Both groups are also open to be used as plot devices. Though both will be killers (of different types of characters), we will not do so without anyone’s consent. The Xal are open to be used by anyone who would like some religious zealots stirring up trouble and causing a figurative witch hunt. The Akh are open to anyone that would like mayhem, be it with a single character or a whole pride (once their numbers are a bit larger).
Please note, however, that I (or any member of the groups, if approached singularly) have the right to turn down your plot if we simply don’t feel as if it something either group would do. That said, I’m going to go ahead and make it known that Do’al (big red henna boy) will not do rape. I don’t want him abused for that sort of thing, and I’ve simply made it so he believes it’s beneath him. At this time, he is not open to flings, but may be in the future at my discretion (so right now, I’m not taking any requests for fling plots for him). --I WANT TO CAUSE MAYHEM--Name: Weupe Owner: Krysin Image: [x] Personality: A lioness who's strength isn't physical, but mental; that is Weupe. Betrayed by one sister, and having an inbred hate of the other, she's a bitter lioness with a sharp tongue which has likely never spoken true words of love. She could build her life on falsities and lies, but she lets one thing remain clear: She will put her sisters out, so that they never be able to plague her again. Once upon a time, she had her kind moments, her tender moments, but those have withered away into nothing so that she can focus on her own goals. Other: She'll be joining later on, more likely, when she realizes her sister is on the 'other side'. Her motivation for this? She hates Weusi down to the bottom of her jealous soul. She'll join up just so she can oppose her sister and maybe have a chance to end their lifetime feud. She's jealous by nature, and bitter, but she can be corrupted to be more mad than sane.
PS: THAR, Do'al, have another minion. :>

--I WANT TO DESTROY EVIL-- Name: Dia Owner: MoonRazor Image: Har. >D Personality: Dia's name was quite aptly chosen. He is a highly, if not over, competitive lion. Even as a cub, he has to be the best at everything he does. Second place is simply not good enough because second is not first. Anything less than first is mediocre, and to settle for mediocrity is, to him, a sign of weakness and a lack of standard. As such, he looks down at anyone who is not the best, and given that he must always be the best, he tends to view the world with an air of contempt. Nobody else is quite good enough for him. They could come close, but they would never be as good.
Given his gotta-be-best attitude, he is willing to go to rather extreme measures in order to ensure his first place. His hardheadedness and determination to get to the top has thus earned him the nickname "Dume," meaning the bull. Another extremely suitable name for him. However, simply because he must be first does not mean he will resort to cheating or sabotage of any kind. He must be first based on his own skills and abilities, and not through cunning and trickery. He is a very honest and straight-arrow creature, and would never even start to think of using tricks to come out on top. Other: Well, he's one of Ainra's babies, so I would absolutely love for him to be involved. Also, I'd love to offer him up as the cub who starts seeing visions opposite of others. I figured it'd be an interesting clash with his personality, since Shisi would reject his visions as inaccurate, but his must-must-must-be-right attitude would cause him to refuse to believe that she's right, and all that. x3
