Rios entered the sage lands with the elder. The elder hopped around as he followed the elder. "To start you shall learn how to control natural chakra." The toad got to a massive pond of bright blue water, that had tons of lily pads on top. The elder jumped in and then back out getting himself wet. Rios stopped in front of the elder and waited to see how he was to learn natural chakra. "You will meditate very still and draw in the natural chakra around you. This whole pond is a form of natural chakra. So start meditating." The toad splashed a large amount of the water onto Rios. Rios sat down in front of the pond and closed his eyes starting to meditate. He was use to meditating as it was a great way of thinking in a clear state of mind.

The elder splashed more of the pond water on Rios. Rios still sat there humming and thinking. He started to think about the first times he had in the mist village. One thing he thought of was the first time he met Rina. After that he kept on humming and meditating. The natural chakra around him was rapidly absorbing into his body. "Try to separate the different chakra's in your body to harness the natural chakra to a greater extent." Rios focused and started to separate the three chakra's inside his body. The natural chakra stood out among everything else inside himself. He got the chakra's close to being separate, but still needed to draw in more of the natural chakra.

Rios started to meditate again and this time focused on separating the chakra's. The elder watched closely as he needed to act fast when ever the balance get's disrupted. He sat there and thought about his chakra's and the different ways to balance them. Rios thought that if he started with the basic two and worked around with the third, that it would work out. His face started to change when the natural chakra got higher than the other's. The elder quickly whacked Rios over the head with the stick again. "Yer still need to work on them at the same time." Rios took into consideration the elder's words and work with them all.

Rios started to separate his three chakra's. The elder toad sat there waiting as Rios was closed eyed and humming. He worked his way to a point where the three chakra's were balanced. The elder smiled as he felt the change in Rios and the chakra around him. Rios looked around at the elder and smiled. "It is done, now we shall test your ability to fight with it." He stood up and stretched, before cracking his knuckles. The elder started hoping off to a higher point in the sage lands. Rios followed the whole way there thinking about things. When they got there, the elder looked at Rios and hoped away from him about ten feet.

The elder pointed to a stone slab atop of a spike. "Sit on top and stay balanced." Rios hoped on top and kept it steady as he sat down. He kept having to move to keep it balanced. "So I'm guessing that I have to use the natural chakra inside my body to keep myself balanced." "Exactly." Rios closed his eyes and focused on the natural chakra, using it to stay in complete balance. About five minutes later he almost fell but got it back under control. Over the course of time he almost fell about five more times.

Rios looked open as he had sat there for an hour staying still the whole time. The elder smiled and looked at Rios. "You now have mastered the way of taking in natural chakra. Now we shall work on Toa fu, the toad sage fighting style." The elder jumped off of a stone slab himself and hoped to an open field next to a stream. Rios followed him and smiled the whole way threw. This whole time he had only his undershirt that didn't have sleeve's on it but the pouch containing the summoning scroll. The elder demonstrated a couple of maneuvers before talking again. "Now one thing that you shall master is the Toa Fu. The main thing it covers is what is called Toad Katas. At a basic level it's an outer field of natural chakra that even if you miss a strike, still hits your opponent." The elder made a motion for Rios to come at him.

Rios ran at the elder and stopped as the elder jumped into the air. The elder was faster than Rios thought was possible. He dodged a punch but as the elder toad smiled he knew something was coming. Rios flew threw the air and hit the rock wall face of the cliff. "Holy crap, that's the katas." He ran at the elder and did a couple of punches maintaining the sage mode. The elder dodged and didn't get pushed back like Rios did by the elder. "Just focus on the natural chakra around yer and focus it into a body around yers. Then from there it's pretty much practice as you'll eventually master it and be able to do what I did to yer." Rios concentrated the natural chakra around him forming another body/chakra body on the outside. He punched at the elder as the elder dodged. The elder was impressed by the amount he had improved in such a short time. The elder was sent back a small foot.

Rios smiled as the elder started to fight back. The elder jumped into the air and did a series of attacks that Rios just blindly blocked. He was smarter blocking the attacks instead of dodging as he new the consequences. "Yer better start to learn fast as this is the most complicated part." Rios attacked the elder and the elder was testing how far he could be thrown by Rios' toad katas. The elder flew back a foot again, but this time he stopped and jumped back at Rios attacking. Rios accidentally dodged one and was thrown back against the rock wall. "Holy crap, cold that not happen." Rios stood up and brushed himself off when the elder jumped out of the smoke striking Rios in the stomach. "Come on, or yer never gonna learn it." The elder knew that the only way Rios could accomplish the goal as fast as possible was if he was motivated.

Rios coughed as the hit was the first thing to really hurt him. "Oh s***.." He pushed off the rock wall and striked the elder in the face before making several more attacks. The elder landed at the same time Rios did and stood there. "Now we're getting somewhere." The elder jumped at Rios and he blocked the attacks. Rios punched at the elder using some of his taijutsu to make quick and devastating strikes. The elder dodged one and was sent back ten feet before landing and still moved back a foot. "Well, well, that is much better. But still more to improve on." The elder jumped back at Rios and they hit in a flurry of strikes and blows. Rios was trying to make the toad katas work in his favor and get the elder to be flung against the wall. But at the time he was still making good progress.

Rios smiled as he knew that the style was getting easier and more controlled. The elder noticed and still fought like it was a true battle. He stroke at the elder's back and then twisted his hand so that it would go past the elder instead of directly hitting him. The elder was thrown back again this time only ten foot as well. The elder then smiled and jumped back at Rios putting so many strikes in that is was neigh impossible for him to block them all. As he dodged a lot of the strikes, he was sent back into the rock wall again. This time when he stood up he almost fell over. "Did you bring any food? If I may ask." The elder laughed and sat down taking a basket that had been sat there. The elder took out a sort of sandwich and handed it to Rios. Rios ate it with no real knowing of what it was made from. It turned out good and he stood up waiting for the elder to begin again.

The elder jumped up at Rios before he could react. Rios twisted away from the elder but turned so far that the toad katas didn't hit him. "So there's a limit then?" He knew the answer and the elder knew that he did as well. Rios punched at the elder and was transfixed as the elder disappeared from sight. The elder appeared behind Rios and kicked at his back. "You never know when one might go and attack yer from behind." The elder smiled as he was beginning to have fun training Rios. Rios turned after a few more hits on his back. He made multiple fast and strong attacks. the elder dodged at the wrong time and was sent back twenty feet. Then the elder jumped off the rock wall behind him and made a lot of strikes at Rios.
