Rivener hadn't yet moved from his room, although he had made it much cleaner. He was rather excited to show people his new body and his new health, but he had to think of a proper way to reveal himself. He wanted to shock Aphismet, in particular! The man had been worried nearly to the same extent as Rivener himself had been when the skin-shedding began... But Riv didn't want to just float out there and go "HAY LOOKITME!". It had to be perfect.
In the meantime the new Sigel had cleaned his floors and put his clothes and blankets away and made his bed properly and erased any trace of his recent trauma. The room was once again nice and neat, his haven. Although... With a tilt of his head, Rivener wondered if he should maybe change things in here. You know, to match the OTHER big change in his life.
Yes, he decided. He'd just move things around, maybe decide on a few things to throw out and a few things he'd like to ADD. For one, Riv knew he wanted to get rid of that old planet-poster. It was outdated and not really pretty. He'd need a new poster instead. And he wanted a plant in here. And he wanted the walls to be a good color, not that stupid faded old-people wallpaper. And the bedspread needed to be nicer. And he should open the windows, it was dark in here.
Grinning, bursting with energy, Rivener floated to the curtains and threw them open, letting in the morning sunlight. He then rubbed his hands together and set off to his bed, ready to shove it into its new position.

Wafting into Riverner's bedroom like an unwanted draft from the old ventilation system, Eiry pulled himself through the molecular structure of Rivener's bed, his torso entangled in the sheets. For some time now, the minty frei had been checking up on his brother since the annual shedding had begun. While Eiry was worried fro his brother, he couldn't help but feel a bit hurt every time he tried to make funny faces at Riv, snuggle with him underneath the bed, or include him in his master plans of trickery around the Delaran household. So, it was with a heavy head and a heavy heart that Eiry left his older brother alone after being sourly rejected each time he made an effort. He didn't let it get to him, though, within moments, he had a smile pulled to each of his ears as he lightly pushed Isi down the last couple steps of the stairs or switched the spices for Aphismet's cooking. He was all smiles in no time.
His day, however, he was determined to play with Rivener. He felt like he hadn't seen him in weeks!
So that brotherly need for attention brought him to Rivner's room this fine day, along with the strange noises that were coming from the above floorboards.
Eirdirsceol gave a big shoulder rolling gasp when he finally opened his red eyes and saw his brother, completely changed before him. He had grown! He had a TORSO...His face had changed, his wings! Everything! With his ethereal fire wings slumping against his back, Eiry gave a loud cry, "BROTHER!" and stiffened like a board.

Rivener had been highly surprised to find the bed moving so EASILY when he pushed it. Had his bed always been this light?! He'd shrugged it off, moving to the heavy dresser to push it out of the way (it was where his bed's headboard should be now) only to find that the dresser which he KNEW to be almost impossible to budge slid across the floor with minimal effort. Rivener lifted his hands and stared at them for a moment. He was STRONGER! Grinning, the Raevan shoved more at the dresser, easily moving it to the other wall and then resuming to push the bed, settling it in its new location.
That was when Riv heard that outcry of shock, startling him slightly. He straightened and snapped his head around, sending his shorter-than-before hair flying, his bead-clasped red lock spinning over a shoulder. Rivener blinked large red eyes at his minty brother for a moment before grinning and turning to face Eiry completely, crossing his arms and enjoying the look of pure confusion written across those usually mischievous features.
"Eiry, hello. Are you here to help me with my room rearranging?" The Scorpion purposefully didn't mention his new body, waiting impatiently for Eiry to ask him.

Looking rather like a stunned meerkat, Eiry's eyes swelled until their were nearly twice their size, or at least, that's what it felt like. the minty frei remained frozen for some time, taking in the whole view of his brother, changed and different. His eyes traveled all over him and when he had finally figured out how to work his vocal chords again, Eirdirsceol stammered helplessly, "Y-you...Grown, tall and strong! How...when did..." Then all surprise and shock vanished as Eiry's brows laid themselves heavy over his dark red eyes. With a hefty pull, he tugged himself free of Rivener's bed and Eiry floated over to Rivener, his shoulders set with grim determination.
Orbiting his brother, Eiry swarmed around him like a horde of bees, inspecting and analyzing each and every change in his brother, cataloging the effects of the unexpected growth. Every so often, when Eiry passed in front of Rivener's chest, he would pause, stare at his brother's face with quiet intensity, and then wordlessly resume his diameter search.
Taking Rivener's wings in his hands and stretching them to full length, Eiry traced his hands over the scaly thin flesh. It was weird, he thought. There wasn't any explosion, no cocoon, no anything. Of course there was the molting, but there was no change last time it happened. What prompted him to change now? And how he changed! He was bigger! And stronger, Eiry could see, just by looking at his arms. Rivener had GOWN. He had a torso now! Feeling a welling feeling of excitement bubble in his chest, Eiry finished his orbit in front of Riv and unabashedly laid his hands against his brother's stomach. The fact that Rivener HAD a stomach now made a big grin split Eiry's cheeks.
Of course, innocence, despite his high intelligence, was one of Eiry's most defining features. His next move prompted the minty frei to lean down, his wings flapping gently to balance himself, as he pressed his grey cheek and pointed ear against Rivener's tummy. Eiry gave a ghastly giggle. He could hear something in Riv's stomach! Just like he could hear things in Isi's stomach too when he slept on the crippled boy and used his torso for a pillow. Eiry wrapped his arms around Rivener's stomach and listened again, before looking up, his ear still pressed to Rivener.
"Brother!" the minty frei squeaked in amazement, "You BIGGREW, you BLOOMED!"

A wide, pleased grin cracked Rivener's face as his brother stammered and spoke nearly incoherently, poking out of the mattress like that. The stunned confusion only lasted a moment before Eiry set his face with determination, lifting free of the furniture and floating over to Riv, orbiting him like a satellite. The older Raevan smirked, rather happy about the attention his new body was getting, being examined so closely. He allowed Eiry to pull his wings, to touch the thin flesh between the bones, to press against his stomach and look like he was listening. Rivener chuckled.
Eiry seemed to reach the conclusion that this growth was acceptable, turning up a wide grin and exploding with Eiry-speak, hugging Riv's new stomach. The Scorpion let out a breathy laugh, red eyes glittering. "I did! The molting was very painful this time, and it felt like I was too small for my body... I guess I was changing! But, don't tell anyone, okay? Well, you can tell Isi if you want, but I wanna surprise Aphi. Okay? You promise to keep the secret?" One clawed hand reached up to pet at the minty head of hair.
"So what do you think?" Rivener asked, pushing his brother away so he could turn in place and run a hand through his hair, smirking rather smugly. "Hm? Am I good-looking? Do you think everyone will be impressed?"

Eiry listened to his brother with extreme interest. His pointed ears were perked high and he bit his bottom lip as if that would keep his face from twitching with his happy smile. He watched with admiring, awed eyes as Rivener drifted away and spun about for him. He was so AMAZING, Eiry thought. He was so strong and big and soft, but hard, and his wings were bigger and his face and and...
"It's HEARTSTOPPING," Eiry bubbled happily, giggling loudly and clapping his hands together. He played the admiring little brother very well. Looking at Rivener as if he were an angel that had just earned his wings, Eiry fought with his tongue to give a high-pitched reply, pinching his shoulders near his neck and floating high up with his excitement"You're AWESOME, yes! I will keep it heartsafe, this promise, heartsafe! No lip spilling from Eiry, heartpromise!" He gave another series of appeased cackles as Rivener patted his hair and he pressed his head into the sigel's hand.
"Everyone heartstop when they see you, yes! You're so much bigger! Of course, prettypretty, enough to break a mirror if you cast eyes into it!" Eiry giggled again, unable to contain himself with excitement and he threw his arms into the air and gave a twirl himself. "Grown all big and bloomed, my brother!"

Rivener laughed, amused with how impressed and excited Eiry was. It was almost as though Eiry himself had grown, how excited he was. The elder brother had to be the one to calm the little minty one down or he would already alert the whole house. "Shh, shh," Riv counselled with a grin, lifting both hands to motion for his sibling to be quiet. "You little fussball, don't be too loud or that heartsafe secret will already be blown. ...Hey, can you do me a favor, actually? I think I just came up with a way to get Aphi to come in here..."
Looking sneaky, knowing Eiry would love being in on this, Riv floated closer and slipped an arm over the willowisp's shoulder, pulling him close to whisper. "You go suggest to Aphi that maybe I would like some star-planet magazines or something. He'll go buy them and then bring them in here, and then I can surprise him with my new healthy body!"

Gently getting packed into the space underneath Rivener's arm, Eiry grew more and more jittery as he tried to contain himself, grinning like a madman. He kept his eyes trained on Rivener, listening with intent as he bit his own knuckle in attempt to be silent. He thought that this next turn of events was odd. Usually, he was the one to instigate pranks and mis-doings around the Delaran household. Not Rivener! Maybe...Maybe now that Rivener was grown he would do more pranks with him! Brothers together and doings mishaps! Eiry's fiery wings flapped happily in excitement behind him as Riv laid out his plan.
"Ah..." Eiry voiced into his knuckle, cackling softly, "I like it, yes! Quickthink, you are, brother mine. I will! I will be hearthiding and deliver message!" Then he paused, glancing up at Rivener with his large red eyes. A thought had struck him then, like an arrow into a tree trunk. With his knuckle still lodged between his teeth, Eiry asked softly, "Rivener?
"...When will I bloom?"

Rivener chuckled as his brother nearly vibrated with enthusiasm under his arm, so eager to do mischief that even something like this that wasn't even much "mischief" at all made him hyper. The Scorpion released his hold as Eiry agreed to the plan, speaking in that puzzling way of his. Good thing Rivener was good at understanding words (or lack of words). "Cool, thank you Eiry! Heehee, imagine his face when-"
Eiry's question suddenly drifted up to Rivener's ears like a wisp of smoke, drawing the elder's red eyes over to their counterparts in his brother. "Eiry? ...Aw, Eiry." Riv floated closer again and hugged his smaller brother. "You'll bloom soon, bro. You'll bloom when you're ready. But you have to be ready, okay? Changing is not easy. And it's not comfortable. And it might be scary... Just remember that even if you change, you're still going to be you, okay? And be patient, it will happen when you're ready." The dark Sigel smiled down affectionately at the minty bundle in his arms. "Okay?"

Eiry wordlessly allowed himself to be drawn close to Riv's chest and newly developed tummy. He liked getting hugs and snuggling, there was no doubt about that, but there was something about getting hugged by his newly grown brother that made him seem smaller than usual. Of course, it was Riv getting a torso that probably did it, but, to Eiry, it was more than that.
Eiry snuggled close to Riv, enjoying the closeness before he pulled his face from his chest and split a happy grin across his features. "I will be ready. Change is part of life. That is what Isi told me, hearthonest. I have changed once, change again and again! It is all change. But I will be ready.
"Thank you."
Eiry rubbed his face against Riv's new shoulder and he gave a mischievous chuckle before he pushed through his brother's body, a ghost through flesh, and reappeared on the other side of Riv. "Alright!" he piped happily, throwing a victorious fist into the air, "To Aphi with deliverreply for magazines of stars for big brother!"
Like a sinking ship, Eiry floated down through the floorboards, giggling all the meanwhile as he disappeared from Rivener's presence.

Rivener watched his brother leave with a smirk, knowing that when the day came for Eiry to grow it would be a VERY dreaded day for the household. Those pranks would surely only get worse... Shaking his head with a chuckle, Riv turned back to the mirror to admire himself until the inevitable moment when Aphismet would walk through that door and see his evolved ward.
