The day had been good so far, and Uzuri trotted aimlessly across the bright savannah. For once, she felt at ease; something she had never felt away from her den mother.
The wind tussled through her fur, and the sun beat down on her back, but she loved every second of it. Today, there was no starving, there was no sadness, no enemies. Her life seemed normal, and the horrible things in her past almost seemed to disappear.

Ade was bored. Worse then bored. He was, was... Super bored! Jua was off doing something stupid. Probably sleeping, and his poor twin had nothing to do. The gray pup sighed and plopped down, small puffs of dirt rising from the ground. That was when his sharp yellow eyes caught sight of a familiar blue form.
He leapt to his feet, his tail wagging happily before he darted towards the female wild dog. "Uzuri! Hey, Uzuri!" Ade called happily, smiling widely as he skidded to a stop in front of her. "Hi, Uzuri!"

Uzuri twitched her ears; what was that sound? The word sounded familiar, but it seemed to be just a blur in her dreamland. Only when the other pup drew closer did she realize that it was her name he was calling out.
Brown and orange. Don't I know that color combo? An image of the twins that she had previously played with flicked into Uzuri's mind, and a broad smile spread across her face. He was a friend. Something she hadn't known the feeling of until she met them. "Ade!"

The juvenille pup wagged his tail even harder. "What have you been up to, Uzuri? I've missed you!" Ade nudged her shoulder in his excitement at finding his friend again. "You haven't run into anymore trees, have you?" He added lightly, giving her a big grin. The pup really had no friends outside of his family besides Uzuri, so finding her again was the peek of his week. "Do you want to play some more?"

Uzuri smiled and swayed her light tail back and forth. It was nice to see a friend again. "I don't run into things at all." she stuck her pink tongue out at him. "Sure, why not? But what kind of game would just the two of us play?"

"Nothing at all?" Ade asked in a teasing voice before he nudged her shoulder. "We could play explorer! We could go looking for stuff that's special." He suggested with a wag of his tail. "Whoever finds the most special thing wins the game! Kay?"

"Things that are special?" Uzuri's mind went blank. She had never really had anything special in her own life, so she didn't know how to find other things that were special.
She ran about, looking for whatever might be 'special.' A shiny rock, an egg shell......those things, no matter how nice she thought they were, they just didn't seem overly 'special.' "I don't know what's special....." her voice trailed off, and her eyes sagged at the creases. "What did you find that's special?"

Ade jumped lightly as Uzuri came up behind him before he shyly showed a flower. Its petals were the same blue as her coat. Placing the flower at the other's feet, Adejola blushed lightly. "It's special cause it reminded me of you and you're my friend." He admitted, smiling at the other wild dog.
(xD We're going to momentarily pretend canines aren't color blind)

Staring blankly for a moment, Uzuri smiled meekly; no one had ever given her anything like this before, or valued her so much as a friend. "It's really pretty!" she looked around, trying to find something that would match what Ade had found, but there seemed to be nothing. Returning her gaze to Ade, she thought for a moment, and and her special thing popped into her head. "I have you! You're my special thing!" she blushed slightly, but quickly regained her composure.
(( xDD Sorry about the absence, my net had been down for a week or so, and I'm just getting back to all my rps. x3))

"Me?" Ade asked softly before his muzzle broke into a warm grin. "You think I'm something special?" His tail wagged quickly and he bounded forward to gently nuzzle Uzuri before blushing lightly. "I'm happy that you're my friend."

"Good, good." Uzuri looked to the sky, hiding her embarassment at what she had just said aloud; she had never been one to show affection, so the newness of it all was nice.
"Okay, so what now?" she tried to quickly change subjects, trotting a few feet away from Ade.

The wild dog giggled as Uzuri walked a short bit of away, obviously embarrased. He wagged his tail happily and bounced after her, nudging her side. "How about uh..." He trailed off into silence before laughing again and playfully nibbling on her ear. "I bet I can beat you if we wrestle!" The juvi challenged as he bumped playfully against her side.

Feeling the light pressure on her ear, Uzuri smiled, trying to calm her emotions. She felt at home here, with him.
"Wrestling?" furrowing her brow, Uzuri thought about the possibility. While she was a little bigger than Ade, she had never really wrestled anyone. Sure, she had taken down prey animals when she was younger out of starvation, but wrestling?
"There's no way you can beat me!" she laughed a little. "You're smaller than me!" with a smug grin, Uzuri sat upright, looking straight at him.

"Oh yeah! Well I don't care if I'm smaller, I bet I can still win!" Ade challanged with a wag of his tail as he pounced on the larger female, nomming playfully on her ear. "What are you going to do now?" The juvi asked around her ear, giving a small giggle.

Man, this was awkward.
"Guh..." her mouth was gaping a bit; she couldn't believe that he could actually knock her over. It made her laugh, and although she was on the ground, she was happy.
"Fine fine, you win, you win!" she leaned up and nuzzled her nose against his, keeping her content smile.
