On the back wall of the Anthropomorphs shop there is a bulletin board. It is well-used, the wood frame is worn and scratched, the cork is crumbling in places from the claws of many a bored boy. It is pockmarked with holes from staples, thumb tacks, and even nails, gummed (sometimes literally) with tape and other sticky material. Some holes are still stoppered by these weapons and holding fast sheets or just remnants of paper.

And of this paper there is a rainbow of color as the sheets of paper are spread out over the board's surface. Upon these pieces of paper are messages, from one anthro to any number of others. Some are advertisements, some are calls for a little bit of order and understanding. Some are just plain silly.

What is contained on the bulletin board is up to you. Everyone is welcome to add to it and to respond to it. There are no rules here, save that ...

(Hm... seems that the paper was torn. Wonder what it would have said?)

The following is copied from the main thread. It is OOC and meant as a helpful guideline if you need it. By no means use this to constrain yourself. Anything goes. :3 <3

So I had this idea for an RP in the guild. It's open... anyone and everyone can join in, and it is highly encouraged that they do.

The idea was this: There is a bulletin board on the back wall of the shop. One of those things that has ads and Classifieds and job openings you would find in any community center.

And a post would look something like this:
Quote:
Looking for part-time nanny. Please call (number) and ask for (name).

If you would want to respond to this ad, you would want to Quote it to put it into your response, also because there will in theory be other ads up too.

And a reply post could be something like this:
Quote:
Quote:
Looking for part-time nanny. Please call (number) and ask for (name).

You can look after me anytime. ;3

So... someone else came by and wrote on the add (graffiti).

Or a reply post could be something like this:
Quote:
Quote:
Looking for part-time nanny. Please call (number) and ask for (name).

You can look after me anytime. ;3

So-and-so walked by the bulletin board on Saturday afternoon and scanned the ads. He was needing an evening job because he had no social life. But mostly he wanted some extra spending money, in case he found a social life. Finding an ad for a nanny, he wrote down the phone number and name. He sighed as he looked at the graffiti muttering to himself and rolling his eyes.

So what do you guys think? I thought it might be a good way to spark other RPs that might not otherwise happen. Plus... the possibilities for a good laugh are endless. xD <3 Anyway, doesn't have to happen but I thought I'd share. >>; <3

Noel and Connor wandered into the shop together. They were both interested in meeting new people, so Noel came up with an idea of having a party. Of course, they had to clear it through their other housemates first, but they were granted permission and the best place to advertise, the shop of course.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Connor asked the hybrid.

Noel smiled brightly. "Of course it is, Connor! Where else would you suggest we hang the flyer?"

The wolf shrugged. He was newer to the place than Noel, who had grown up in this area, and not very sure about this.

Noel found the bulletin board and posted a very brightly color poster. The poster had balloons and cakes drawn all over it and says 'Come and meet new people and join the party! Friday night at 8pm at (insert address here). Need directions? Call (insert number here). Bring friends, family, random strangers off the street, whoever you want!' "I hope people come. It will rather embarssing if they don't."

In a wandering mood, Kallisto passed by the bulletin board with a bored brown eye. Scanning the notices on the wall he noticed one particularly showy poster, eyes squinting lightly for a moment. “Hmm…” He knew several guys that should hear about this little party. Unfortunately, he had no pen to so much as write the info down on his hand. Next time I’m here, he promised himself before moving on.

(( Sorry Andie, I was going to wait until you had made your edits, and I know RL happens so I understand, but... I have waited way too long to post this. >< <3 ))

A battered slip of paper fell away from the bulletin board to reveal still more slips of paper. It was a vast sea of paper. A jungle of paper that needed a good machete and some bug repellent.

Or maybe it just needed some old-fashioned organization.

One announcement had been sitting there for who knew how long. Despite its maze of folds and tears, stains and graffiti, a riot of fiery color still decorated its surface in the vain hope that the right someones would find it. The color was not as bright as it used to be, especially with creases flaking the ink away. But the point had been made, for anyone who would care to read it.

Pack Leaders

This is a message from Ignatius, Alpha of the Cats, Element of Fire

A pack leader's duty is in service to his pack. The purpose of any given pack is to offer a network of like individuals who can gather and depend upon one another in various ways. Members can expect to go there for protection or a sympathetic ear. It relies heavily on the participation of its members, but does not expect fees or a service quota.

This is certainly not intended to replace any existing ties to family or friendship. But a cat is always a cat, no matter an individual's background, his history within the pack, or lack thereof. It is a community.

With all of this in mind, I hereby extend a paw to my fellow felines, cats and cat-hybrids alike. You are always welcome.

In addition, I invite discussion with any pack leaders, Alphas and Betas alike, who are interested in forging ties of friendship between the packs.

What can I do for you?
cell: (xxx) xxx-xxxx
(ask for Ignatius or Keahi)

(( Yes, this is an open invitation to RP! My focus is for anyone who owns a cat, cat hybrid, or pack leader (alpha or beta), but it can be for anyone who might want to do pack-stuff with the Cats. Or anyone who wants to send hate-voicemail to Iggy. Or you know, whatever. He's really asking for it leaving his number for the public, so anything could happen really! xD <3 ))

Four males slowly entered the shop, eying the empty place before fanning out to do whatever it was they were going to do. A very short and seemingly bad-tempered angel stood near an empty couch, glaring up at a seemingly sweet and shy angel-wolf hybrid. The wolf-hybrid was much taller, and yet he kept one hand on the small angel's shoulder at all times, clearly attempting to hide behind the shorter male. This sight, of course, made one of the two cat-angel hybrids snicker which quickly earned them the most unpleasant glare the small angel could muster, which was actually a pretty powerful one for something so small.

The fourth member of the group, a tall, slender, and well-muscled cat-angel hybrid tugged lightly at his scarf and adjusted his sunglasses, noticing the bulletin board. His ears flicked and his tail gave a small twitch of curiosity as he wandered over to the board, squinting and leaning in close to read the small print on the papers.

The less muscled and more lanky cat-angel hybrid was quick to follow, resting his arm over his brother's shoulder and using him as a leaning post as he eyed the bulletins. A devilish grin spread across his face as he glanced back towards the small and sour angel before looking to the message board. Caelen had decided that perhaps a day-job would turn the little angel's bitter mood around. Well, that was a lie. Cael was actually relying on the angel's terrible personality to make things interesting, and potentially ruin someone's life. Hey, he was only half angel and the playful feline in him demanded some entertainment.

He snickered to himself and pushed away from his brother to rummage around for a pen, quickly writing down the angel's name and number on nearly every piece of paper. Soon Yoshe's name and number were on all wanted ads for nannies, butlers, dating services, maids, and other ads that... well... really just weren't appropriate enough to have even put on a bulletin board.

Adalaid wrinkled his nose at his brother's childish actions and began to turn away, his eyes not good enough to ready such small print. Though a piece of paper ended up catching his eye, some sort of inner instinct pulling him towards the fiery colors. He quickly reached out and snatched the paper off the board, moving over to the other two to hold it out in a demanding 'read it to me' way.

Kaleija gripped onto Yoshe's shoulder when the hybrid approached and thrust the paper in their direction. He bit onto his lower lip before slowly reaching out to take hold of it, tilting his head to the side as he slowly read it out loud. He then promptly held the piece of paper down towards Yoshe's face and wagged his tail. "Kismet would like to see this, don't you think? I'll-- er... Caelen will go find a piece of paper to write the number down."

Yoshe grumbled and glared up at Adalaid, huffing and clearly refusing to accept the piece of paper. However, once it was placed in front of his face and his Alpha's name was mentioned, he couldn't help but to take the paper and examine it, though he did so grumbling and frowning. He adjusted his helmet and glanced over it once or twice, simply because he suspected that Kale was uneducated and therefore likely to make quite a few mistakes while reading it out loud. "The fact that you are incapable of wandering around an empty building by yourself to find a blank sheet of paper proves that you are, in fact, pathetic, Kaleija."

"Whoa, whoa. Wait up! I think Adalaid and myself might be a bit more interested in this than Kismet, dont'chya think? I mean, we are part feline." Caelen frowned and dug a crumpled piece of paper out of his pocket, taking the paper from Yoshe to jot the number down. "I'll bring all the felines I know, and believe me, I know lots."

"We're also part angel, Caelen." Adalaid sighed and flicked his brother on the ear, then gently took the paper and attempted to smooth it out before tacking it back up onto the bulletin board, making sure that it was right in plain sight. Had he been able to read things a little better, perhaps he would have been kind enough to warn Yoshe about his number being plastered on everything. "Should... should we call now...?" he asked, hesitantly reaching into his pocket to pull out his cellphone, handing it to Caelen with a small nod of his head. Why bother waiting around to make contact? His tail twitched as he watched his brother dial the number, a little nervous over the idea of meeting another Alpha.

(( Uh... yay, big posts? >>" omg, yaaay~ Andie actually found the time to do something~ <333 Btw, yeah, anyone can attempt to make plots with Yoshe. >3 ))
