Umhlaba-UmntwanaTwilight had come and gone and her family had gone to sleep. The winds were a little nippy today in the Savannah climate and it kept Twana happily wide awake awaiting her night time buddy, Zuberi. She yawns quietly to herself and lays down on her tummy, resting her head between her paws. The grass served as a comfy pillow.

Zuberi ran swiftly threw the grass, he couldn't get away quick enough from the pack tonight he had to get to see her again. Twana he thought the name to himself. He had sleep during the day had been riddled with dreams of her he liked it. He hoped that her family hadn't chosen to move on while he was asleep.
Just then he made it into the clearing that he had met her in the night before and he saw her, her head laying sweetly in the grass. He ran faster to make it too her more quickly he really couldn't get there fast enough.

Twana stands at the sounds of swift steps coming towards her, her eyes lift to see the large form of Zuberi. Her tail immediately begins wagging her 'teacher' was back in action it seemed. "Zuberi!" She barks softly but, excitedly. She didn't wanna wake her parents/siblings up at all.
Upon his arrival to a stand still with her Twana steps forward and nuzzles the much older dog in a small welcome 'home' ceremony her family had. "How was your sleep?" She asks assuming he had slept the whole day before.

Zuberi nuzzled the small girl back. He was happy to be close to her again. "My sleep was..... great. Zuberi answered quickly with a hint of embarrassment in his voice. " How was your day?" Zuberi assumed she must have slept a little late today but her family was up during the day and he wondered what activities dogs did during the day.

She stays near him but, plops her rump on the soft grass. She giggles at the change of his voice, she didn't understand why it had changed but it sounded funny to her. "My day was great!, I slept a bit so I could stay up longer." She smiles happily. Her eyes glued to teh skies again.
"I saw a new bug today!" She tells him, excitement in her voice. "It had 6 legs and was in a bush.. My Momma told me it was a spider." She looks up at him, her tail wagging at the excitement of her news.

Zuberi was happy that the girl stayed close to him. He chuckled he remembered the awesomeness of the world when you are that young and everything was new. He also enjoyed that she was so into learning and curious. "Bugs are super cool!" Zuberi announced. He turned and sat beside the girl, never taking his eyes off her.

Twana is nearly bouncing in her seat next to him as she follows up describing an earth worm, a potato bug and a few others bugs/insects she had seen. "There are so many!" She gasps and is about to go on before she remembers there was something she had dearly wanted to show him. "Come with me!"
She begins bounding away and in moments disappears in some tall grass. And emerges on the opposite side where a large pond resides. She waits behind a tree 'hidden' from Zuberi.

Zuberi was shocked by the amount of energy in the young one.... she had been awake all day yet she still was full on energy! He ran after her hoping that she hadn't gotten too far. He tried to follow her sent in the tall grass but the wind was making it hard to follow. He paused close to the pond glancing about... had she gone into the water... had he gone past her, he was very confused. "Twana?" he called lightly, he didn't like the feeling of her being missing from him.

Quiet as she could Twana began stalking on her 'prey'. Zuberi had noticed she was not there and had begun looking about so she worked hard to stay in the shadows. Her fur didn't help her very much though, it's bright white/yellow mixture seemed to stick out like a sore thumb. given the right moment she tackles the older pup excitedly.
She had leaped up onto his back, her head next to his and tail wagging, she nips at his ear playfully trying to get him to play wrestle.

Zuberi was actually shocked when the little one jumped on to his back, he obviously hadn't been paying very close attention. As the little one (which he had now taken to endearingly call her in his own head) nipped at his ears, he shook his head laughing. Lightly as he was afraid of hurting her he tossed her from his back and rolled her to her back before jumping on top of her and licking her face. He laughed again as he took a few steps backwards getting into a defensive position practically challenging her to try again. He loved being this close to her, he was having a very good time!

Twana was startled by the over turn of events. She lay now, sprawled on her back. She stares at him her face drenched from his tongue and a playful glint in her eyes. It took her no more than a few moments to be on her feet again and ready to 'fight'. Her eyes narrow to slits, so only slices of her green and pink eyes were showing and her tail wagged, high in the air, her fore body lowered slightly to the ground. She barks excitedly, waiting.

Zuberi laughed at the young one. She was cute in the way she prepared to fight. He decided to make the first move asking, "Are you ready for me?" Before he got an answer he ran towards her low to the ground just in case she jumped at him... he didn't want to loose his balance. Just before running into her he skidded to a stop and flopped over onto his back inviting her to be the dominant one, showing that he completely trusted her.

Twana glances at the submitting male before her. An eyebrow raised and tail twitching. "You play funny!" She announces, she was used to play fighting, biting, aggression from her sisters and brother. as unusual as it was in her jumbled personality she was an aggressive hound, ready to 'battle'. Sitting a moment to ponder she rocks a bit on her haunches and gives up on thought.
Buut, instead of leaping at the easy target she bounds away and leaps at the large pond-like body of water. She is pulled under in seconds and resurfaces just as quick. At resurfacing she announces her first time being in this water was just yesterday. "Mum took me!" She says, tail wagging beneath it's surface, her paws were just touching the bottom, her fur wet and matting. "It's cool and nice on dry days." She says and dunks herself again. Reappearing she blinks away the water.
"You gonna join or sit there like a rock?" She asks the older male. Her duel-colored eyes glued to him.

Zuberi laughed at the young one. In truth he had been some what afraid of hurting her which is why he went the submissive route. Then to have her go in the opposite direction took him completely by surprise. Laughing still he bound down towards the waters edge. Not sure if he wanted to dive in with her, he had never really gone in the water before, so he wasn't sure he would actually be able to swim. He didn't want to embarrass himself in front of her. "I would love to join you." he finally answered gingerly entering the water. Once he got in he realized how much he loved it he laughed out loud and went in deeper in to join her. He was amazed the the young one had showed him something new.

Twana, beautifully open to new experiences and stupidly lacking fear could have easily caused trouble for both, she just barely knew how to keep herself a float. Half-swimming, half-walking, Twana makes her way towards Zuberi. "See, it's very nice, and fun too!" She shoust out loud.. forgetting her family was slumbering nearby. "I love swimming." She smiles up at the male with pride at having learned to swim and being more brave about entering the pond.
