Saidia huffed and let her shoulders sink down, as she slowly got down to the ground, huffing. "Whew! What a day!" She exclaimed. Such hard work. Finding herbs, yeah. Harder then it sounded.
She sat up, looking at the sky above her. Nothing but sun. She could see a vulture sqwauking above her. "Stupid bird. Come down here. We'll see who eats who.." She walked over to a nice shadey tree, and sat down, happy to get off of her paws and even more thankful to get out of the sunlight.

Adejola laughed happily as he chased after a butterfly. The pup didn't really want to catch the low flying bug, but the thrill of the chase had his tail wagging behind him. Suddenly he skidded to a stop as he saw a bright red and green form just a little bit before him. The large canine was talking to a bird above and Ade lifted his head for a moment to stare at the vulture as it circled around before he returned it to this brightly colored stranger. He gave little to no hesitation before he happily bounded over. "Hi!" He yipped happily, his tail wagging happily behind him.

Saidia jumped half way off the ground. She growled a little bit and then sighed. It wasn't his fault she was so jumpy. She smiled and responded. "Hello there!" She looked at the vulture and decided to ignore it. What harm could it do to her if she wasn't dead?

Ade jumped back as he was growled at, his tail dropping for a moment before it again began to wag as the hyena smiled at him. "I'm Adejola, but everyone just calls me Ade. What's your name?"

Saidia cocked her head to the side. "My Name? Saidia. But everyone calls me... Saidia. My, my young one what are you doing out here? It's not a place for little pups like you."

"Why not?" Ade asked in confusion as he plopped down in front of Saidia. "I'm not gonna get lost or anything. I know my way home. 'Sides, I'm a mighty hunter!" He wagged his tail furiously and again stood, pouncing on a butterfly as it flew by him. "See?" He turned back to the hynea, offering her the dead insect.

Saidia smiled and shook her head, declining the kind offer. "No thank you." She smiled and giggled a bit at Ade's sound of certainty. "Your quite a certain little boy aren't you? I guess you wouldn't get lost but what about the other Wild Dogs? Couldn't they hurt you?"

Ade tilted his head in obvious confusion. "Why would they want to hurt me?" He asked curiously as he stared up at the larger canine. "Wouldn't they just want to play?" After all, Adejola had never met any creature, big or small, who had ever wanted to hurt him. Sure, he hadn't gotten along with everyone, but for one to hurt him was ridiculous in his naive mind.

"Yes young one. People aren't always nice and sweet. There are vile and cruel people in the world too. The gods know if there are only a few innocent people as well. They cannot see everything you know." She smiled. "Tell me young one.. Have there been any... different things going on around here?"

For a long moment, Ade simply stared at the hyena. Not everyone was nice? The knowledge was uncomprehendable to the pup. "Different things?" He asked in confusion as he tilted his head to the side. "What do you mean?"

Saidia smiled. "As in, there hasn't rain or any dry winds? It could be the sign of a drought." She looked down at him, showing her teeth. "Droughts aren't a good thing. The water goes and dries out, which could kill us all off.

"Oh...." Ade frowned, looking up at the sky. "Uh..... I don't think so." The pup's tail drooped, but it soon perked up again and he wagged his tail happily. "I haven't seen any! That means there's no drought, right?" Oh goodie! He jumped up and began trotting around the hyena in an excited circle.

She blinked. "I THink I got my words wrong. I meant if there wasn't rain, it was the sign of a drought. Not the other way around. Wait.. whut?" She said, extremely confused. "Ugh I can't think anymore."

Adejola was too happy to understand that there could still be a threat of drought, but it wouldn't have mattered anyway. The wilddog pup was too naive that he didn't understand how bad a drought was and wouldn't worry about it all that much. He bounded over to nudge the other's shoulder. "Heyheyhey! We should go play-finding! We could find... find.... water! Water! First to find water wins! Alright, ready, go!" And with that, the pup dashed off into the surrounding grass.
