Damn that sparrow. It was barely dawn and she was already wide awake. It was hard to sleep through a shrieking bird pecking at one's nose, after all. At least this gave her a short reprieve from everyone else while the others slept. If it wasn't her mother babbling about things that made no sense, or her father eavesdropping on her thoughts constantly (though so far, he had never mentioned them), it was her siblings annoying her one way or another.
The youngster clambered up onto a rock and took a look around. It was hard to believe an entire, and very large, pack lived here when it was so quiet at the moment. No doubt someone was up already somewhere, but here, it was nice.

She had given birth to four little pups.. All of which seemed a little more mad than the next. Though she had to admit, if she was right of mind, that would bother her. Though she was completely insane, she hardly noticed her childrens mental deformity.
She saw in the dirt outside her little cave. They had made that den, her and Idogbe.. He had made it to show her he and his pack could be trusted. She was much like a young child in mind, and needed to be treated somewhat as one.
Her tail curled around her body, and she was using her claw draw little designs in the dirt. Mostly swirlies and what looked like waves.
She had always been quite mad.. Always had been hated for her mind.

If it hadn't been for a stray gust of wind, strong enough to be an annoyance to Nevermore's ears that made her look back towards the den, she might not have noticed her mother lying there, drawing spirals in the dirt. Immediately Nevermore was gripped by a dilemma. Should she go to her mother to avoid being caught sneaking away, but then be stuck there with her? Or should she dash away and hide and face some kind of trouble later? Reluctantly she decided to go to Amary.
Besides, she was still a puppy though and through. Puppy curiosity wanted her to know what the doodles where all about.
Quietly Never made her way over, settling in the dirt too. "What are you doing?" She asked calmly, showing a genuine interest, though she suspected she would regret the answer.

Amary's mad gaze looked to the little female. She smiled a bit, her maw showing her sharp fangs.
"Nevermore." She said, smiling a bit.
"Im making shapes in the shifting sands.' She said with a happy look to her spirals.
It was fun to just..draw. Sit there and just let her claw tell her what shape would form in the dirt.

Another pup might delight at their mother smiling at them and saying their name, but in Never's case it unnerved her. Still, it was something she had to live with.
The pup studied the spirals. What was the point? She didn't like doing things unless there was a point to it. Like chasing off that bugger of a sparrow that likes to wake her up early so she can stare at random spirals in the dust.
"Why?" Never reached out with her paw and drew a little circle, with wave coming off of it.

She shrugged a bit, happy to be a little inside her own head this morning, and not in her little dreamworld of which was a constant threat to her reality.
"Because.. the sands shift..and it makes amazing works of art.." She said, her riddle still in her voice, but not quite as hard to understand.
She casted her gaze at her daughter, cocking her head.
"You dont like this?"

Oinone laid in the den and tried sleep beside his siblings, though the paranoid pup of the litter was a very soft sleeper and had stirred slightily away when Never had clambered out of the den. The blue and crimson marked wolf just laid there and listened to what he could before his fur lifted at the feeling of his father being close by...or so the pup figured it was his father.
Oinone, in any fashion of the word, loved his parents and siblings, but he just didn't trust them like most pups would. This would be his down fall later on in life. The four small pups that had come from Amary and him, had at first made Idogbe over joyed. But as they had grown and opened there eyes he was able to see the waves of insanity slowly flow through them.
The oldest and first son seemed to be the most normal of the four, the second, and another son, born was paranoid of everything and, sadly to state, afraid that his father was prying into his mind, but like their mother and his sister, Idogbe didn't invade the mind of his children; the third born, first daughter, seemed to have a complex like that of her grandmother, but she wasn't planning on world domination...that he knew of; and the last well...she seemed to have a bird with her, like her mother had a raven.
Those pupiless emerald eyes looked out towards the entrance of the den, a small but quaint place for them, a little bit away from his mother and the rest of the pack, but still in the territory, seeing as he was afraid Twist would eat his children for the fact what had happened with his brother, Tornado.
Getting up and walking out of the den, he could see that Oinone was pretending to sleep, but he didn't say anything, Idogbe walked out of the den and looked towards his maroon, lovely lady of riddles and Nevermore who seemed to be discussing something.

Amaranth looked up, cocking her head at Idogbe. A smile brightened her maw, as she stood, swaying over to him. She never really had a walk..Her walk was more of a mix between a saunter, and a sway. Seductive, but all her own.
"Oh if it isnt my king." She said, voice light and airy as if all was right in her world at the moment.
She had not expected her pups to come out 'right.' But she hadnt noticed the problems forming in them, that Idogbe did. She never noticed those little things..Partly because she didnt care enough to learn those quirks.
She thought all pups were just like hers.. All weird, and odd in their own little ways.
Except Raven-Blue. She had noticed how very much he hated his name, and how he was ridiculed..But it made her smile. Surely he knew life would only get harder.

The little blue pup squirmed a bit, not wanting to awaken, but he was cuddled into his brother. He had not noticed his brother was faking sleep, as he was off in his own little dreamland.
He too, had a problem with family. .He loved his family, though he almost resented his mother. The only reason he was as patient as he was with her, is because every now and then, he'd remember that she couldnt help it.
Though he was sure to explode when he would forget and want her to get out of her head. Sometimes he hated who she was.
But father tried to help him understand..

Idogbe smiled back at Amaranth, watching her stand up and then sway towards him, well her walk, and a walk that he had possibly been in tranced by.
"Good morning my lovely lady." He greeted her back noting her voice to be riddle free...or close to it for one. Idogbe gently pressed his nose tip to Amary's and then looked towards Never, "I do hope I'm not intruding on a private conversation. I can go get some fish if you two want more alone time?" He offered, openly towards his daughter and mate.
He could feel Amary was thinking, but Idogbe did his best to stay out of her head, a promise that he had unspoken with her and one unspoken with Shezaam, along with his kids still.

Did she like drawing spirals in the sand? Was she supposed to? Nevermore wasn't sure whether to answer with yes or no, and what would happen if she answered at all. She couldn't tell what state of mind her mother was in, though she seemed more level than usual at that moment. Nevermore liked things when they were easily anticipated and predictable. But with her immediate family, that never seemed to be the case...
At least her thoughts were interrupted when her father Idogbe appeared. Her whole body relaxed for a moment as she blankly watched them converse from her place in the dirt. Pet names were exchanged, then the conversation turned. Nevermore forced herself to stay as blank as possible, concentrating on something petty like the markings in the earth, trying to stop father sensing her resounding thought of "No!" at the suggestion of more mother-daughter time.
