It happens!

Does anyone here own clothing that may not necessarily be Japanese, but you like it because it's Asian influenced?
I like this shirt. I don't own it, I just like it.

xD I have a shirt with a panda and some Chinese text on it... That's like the closest I can get though I do have some shirts from Vietnam.
I wish I knew what was Asian inspired, but I can't really tell the difference when I go shopping... Everything just looks like clothes to me.
What is the common style in Japan anyways? I heard it's a lot like the west?

Well yeah. I assume that we influence one another to do things. Kind of like that.... Yeahhhh.... so they think that we're cool and we think that they're cool.

I have a dress actually that is a chardonnay color. it's a mandarin style and it looks super cute---but I can't move at all in it because the way it's sewn restricts movement. I think it was a really inexpensive dress but I had to keep my arms down because of the way the sleeves fit. >: it was sad.

There is this new line at Target that is basically back to school supplies. There is apparel but they also have notebooks and the like. The designer is ACTUALLY Italian, but he lives in Japan mostly and he says in the brochure that his inspiration comes directly from Japan. His characters look like simplistic chibis and they include a tomboy girl with pink hair, a boy with black spikes.... and two other figures. one of them is an animal... I can't remember. But I think---that Japan looks for inspiration to us sometimes but we're looking back at them. Sort of interesting, hm?

I have a shirt that kind of looks like the shirt from the link but it is red with flowers and butterflys on it and it is V neck (so I wear a tank top underneath it),and it has black trimming.

I just get a kick when people wear shirts with Chinese or Japanese writing on it,
And when I ask them what it means,
They either have no clue, or make something up xD
