He had volunteered for this. It wasn't something you expected out of a teenage boy, but the moment he got a chance he had grabbed Jordi and headed out for a day on the town. It was a good thing her parents liked him, he thought in amusement as he watched the little girl slowly pull herself up the ladder to the slide.
They were in one of those tacky playground areas that some fast food joints still had. The colors were so bright that it almost hurt his eyes to look at them, but Jordi had pointed, and when Jordi points she goes. Even when being babysat.
A pile of fish burger wrappers were on the tray next to him, and empty fry cartons topped them off. He still didn't like fast food.

Seemed there was more than one teenaged boy babysitting a little girl that day. Bailey had brought his little sister Shiraz to the fast food place so she could get a snack and play for a while. The plump little panda girl had a liking for eating on a slightly more than regular basis, and her figure showed it.
The red skinned boy was carrying the tray with his sister's half nibbled lunch and looking for somewhere to sit as he shooed her over towards the play things. Best to make her at least do a bit of moving about before she scarfed everything down.
The panda slowly made her way over towards the slide and it's ladder. After looking at it for a bit, she began to make her way up behind a small tanned skinned child.

Jordi pulled herself onto the platform of the slide, then turned, waving at Chris before noticing that there was a bear girl following her. She crouched down, all foot and a half of her, and cocked her head at the bear. "Who you?" she asked.
Chris took a long drag off of his milkshake, a huge thing that consisted of, he was very positive, no milk whatsoever. Other than that he didn't know what WAS in it. He wasn't asking questions, either.

"Sh'raz. Who you?" the panda repeated, looking up at the girl before her, cocking her head as well to see if there was something interesting about that angle.
Bailey was finding that there were very few chairs in the area where he'd need to be to watch his sister. The only one mostly free seemed to be one by Chris's table. So, walking over the boy spoke to him. "Hey, is this seat free?"

"Sure," Chris said, more draped over his chair and in front of his chair, then actually sitting in it. "They need bigger chairs."
"I Jordi," Jordan said with a smile. "I dwarf! You bear?"

"Mhm. Panda bear." Shiraz explained, nodding a bit. "S'a dwarf?"
Bailey sat down in the free chair and found he had to agree. "Yeaaah. These are just awkward." he said, putting Shiraz's tray down.
"Who're you here with?" the red male asked curiously. No reason to hang out on overly small chairs picking at kind of crummy food in a playground if you're not either with a child you're watching or a *****. And the other guy didn't exactly strike him as ***** material.

"I'm babysitting my neighbor's kid," Chris said. "She's the tiny little one in leather." He finished off his milkshake with a rattling sound. "I'm Chris," he added, offering a gigantic hand to the other guy.
"Is a dwarf!" Jordan said. "Is a... short and beard and biiiiiiggg axe!" she decided, surprisingly right on the mark.

"I'm babysitting my sister - she's the fuzzy one chit chatting with her." Bailey laughed lightly, taking Chris's hand with his own much smaller one, "I'm Bailey."
"Ooh. Dinnit know that. Why you not have beard then?" the bear asked, brow furrowing a bit. Was it just because Jordi was young that she didn't have one? Shiraz could at least understand why she didn't have an axe with her at present.

"I not old enough for beard," Jordi said with a nod. "Mama has beaaauuuutiful beard, is soft and fluffy!" She waved her hands over her stomach to indicate how long and fluffy the beard was. "Daddy no have beard. Daddy too tall too. Is not dwarf."
"Really?" Chris said, letting go of the other guy's hand and looking at the panda girl. "She's cute. You mind having a sister?"

"Ooooh. Sounds neat." the bear girl said. She didn't know anyone with a big beard but it sounded so very nice. "May I come up top?" The panda was getting a little sick of standing on the ladder.
"Yes, Mom picked her up from some place that apparently hatches children from Cabbages because my other sister felt lonely being the only girl." Bails explained, "I don't mind having sisters at all. They tend to behave better than my brothers and are a bit sweeter too."

"Sounds like you've got a lot of both," Chris said with a hint of amusement. "I'm an only child," he added. He turned, watching the girls with a slight smile. "It'd be fun."
"Oh," Jordan said, moving out of the way. Then she stepped onto the slide, plopping down. "I go down!" And she pushed off, sliding down the slide happily.

"I do. But having a big family's pretty cool, I like always having someone around to talk with." Bailey commented with a grin, "there are some times when its a pain and being an only child would be a huge advantage just the same."
Shiraz watched her, laughing a little. Soon enough the monotone bear was sliding down after her. This was fun!

Jordi ran (a bit slowly thanks to her very short legs) back to the ladder and started climbing up again, giggling happily. She liked slides! It was almost as good as the bumpy floor and her chuchu!
"I've pretty much claimed Jordi as a cousin," Chris admitted. "And my--my friend's got a little sister now. But every time she sees me it seems like she poofs to her fox state." He looked over at Bailey. "She does that when she's scared."

Shiraz toddled after her, speed just as slow though for different reasons. While Jordan moved as fast as she could on small legs that hindered her, Shiraz was capable of more but preferred a slow almost ambling pace.
"Huh. That must be a bit disheartening, having a kid scared of you. You don't seem like such a bad guy."

Chris laughed. "I'm big," he said simply, an understatement to be exact. He was huge, really, with gigantic forearms and hands. "And I was the first thing she saw when she came out of the cabbage, in the middle of the night." He looked over at the kids again, smiling slightly. "My eyes tend to glow in the night, like a cat's, I guess."
Jordan pulled herself onto the platform, proud of her accomplishment, and looked down at the panda again. "You coming?"
