At least i hope they are important. I really don't think any one of us will go without.
okay so, my question to you guys... what do dancers wear under those cabaret costumes, most specifically the chiffon skirts? i don't personally like the thongs or G-strings. they are uncomfortable and i don't think picking a wedgie is very exotic. But under such finery you can't tell what they would be wearing.

Herem pants?? I never dance with out pants on under a skirt. I like the tight black yoga pants, or very wide leg pants.
As for undies...alot of the dances around here wear very thin either highcut undies or "boy cut" undies. Neither have elastic on the leg part, and usualy they're made of a silky material. Popular colors seem to be nude or black.

I usually wear the thong. they don't make me feel weird or anything. the kind i got, cheap, but works. its like going comando, but sometimes i do wear boy shorts like what Nadeau said. You just have to find the right size.
but i always layer. I have the undies and my slip that helps with bumping out the crinckes in my tummy and sides.
If i wear my purple costume, i find a pair of leggings that go above the knee. other times i wear the leggings.
if i wear my white skirt, i wear my white yoga pants
if i wear my gypsy skirt, then i wear leggings.
if you don't like to wear thongs or g-strings and don't want to go comando, then like Nadeau had stated, "boy cut" or what i like to call boy shorts style underwear is the best.

make sure they're like boxer breifs.
a girl wore boy shorts before and my instructor said it was too short. you were able to see right through her harem pants.
but don't get too big a size either or else there is no point. to me, i chaffe or rash when ever i get sweaty under my skirt or dress. thats why i wear leggings.

Thongs aren't that bad, they just take some getting used to. Also, it depends on how big/small your crack is and whether the thong's strap is thick or thin. The smaller the better it seems to me.
