This is the place to go if you are traveling to another planet/galaxy etc. By using the distances charted for each planet, you can calculate the distance to be traveled. To keep it simple, we're going to use a linear system, instead of a 3-dimensional (or even 2-dimensional) system. This means that if you are traveling to planet A (200 lightyears from earth) and traveling to Planet B (100 lightyears from earth) then the diagram would look like this:
Earth-100 light years-B-100 light years-A
you calculate the distance by taking the higher number and subtracting the lower number, so you would need to travel 100 light years to get to planet B.
If your ship can travel at 2 light years per hour, (a considerable speed, but nothing outstanding by the Universe's standards) then it would take you 50 hours to make it (non-stop) to planet B.
Each post counts as exactly one hour, unless otherwise stated. This means that to reach planet B, you would post 50 times.
By adding 10 posts to your travel time, you can avoid this next section (the dice rolling) entirely.
However, this is not always the case. Sometimes a storm can crop up, a planet's gravity can suck you in and throw you off course, or you might come into contact with an asteroid field. These things will slow you down. So there is a system for traveling. Every fifth post, you must roll a 1d20 to determine if a random event will occur, decided by this scale:
1: you encounter an asteroid field so large that it will take two posts [you don't have to roll until you're out of the field] to navigate.) 2-5: You encounter a cosmic storm, and your ship takes a beating: 1d100 damage to your ship, and you lose one post of travel. 6-10: A gravitational anomaly pulls you off course, causing you to slingshot in a random direction, losing you one hour of travel. 11-19: smooth sailing. You make time at your normal speed. 20: You enter a gravitational anomaly and slingshot around it, being thrown at twice your normal speed towards your destination. The next two posts take you twice as far as normal.
So far, we have:
Earth: 0 light years from Earth. Nexum: 20 light years from Earth. Sartanis: 40 light years from Earth M13: 169 light years from Earth Kowloon: 1000 light years from Earth
New planets will be added as they are created.
An on-board stasis program will allow you to cut your posts in half, as you are barely conscious. This means that every post is two hours instead of one, but it also means that you are incapable of physical training (although you won't lose any strength for not training.)

Arin was thinking, albeit very slowly, in her pod as it sped towards Earth. She would eventually have to return to Nexum to kill her parents... And she would need transport for her troops. If she could find a ship on the new planet, then returning to Nexum would be a simple matter, and they could steal (or even legitimately acquire) some pods. That meant that she needed either power or money. And since money could be power, she saw no reason why her power could not earn her money.... The humans came form Earth, and she had suspicions that Earth's currency might still be worth something there. She could exchange it for currency to use in the Saiyan quarter and purchase some pods if need be... Or she could train her warriors here and return to kill some saiyans and commandeer their ships. She sighed softly. This was going to be a fun trip, if it proved to be useful to her... Otherwise, she was going to have to waste her time on some ridiculous planet. I suppose I could always conquer it and take it as my own if it proved fruitless.

She supposed it wouldn't be difficult. Besides, if she ruled the planet, she could have all of their money, and could begin building a fleet of ships. I should keep my forces small... If I have too many, they could revolt. And we can't have that. She grinned Not that it would do them much good if they did. I would destroy them. She was so sure of her power now. She felt so much stronger than ever before. She wondered just how much stronger she had become after killing that brute and training her ki. She still wasn't satisfied with her progress on the new skill, but she could perfect it in her spare time. She didn't need it for a race of people who had an average power level of 5. Hell, even saiyan children are stronger than that. In fact, that was the requirement to be classed as upper-class. A power level of five was the minimum to be in that select, elite group. Two and under were low-classes. Like me... and middle-class saiyans had a power level of three or four. She sighed. It doesn't matter. I will be stronger than all of them.

Sigh. This space travel stuff was just irritatingly peaceful. She wished she had someone other than her pod to talk to, or at least something to do while she waited. If she could get a bigger ship that had room to train, she would be in business. In fact, she could keep the pods on that ship. She could use them in emergencies, or if the larger ship was critically damaged. There had better be warriors to fly those damn pods. It would be really irritating to carry that much dead weight to every planet I travel to. Which brought her to a different subject...

I need to know how many of us there should be... An army is too many... We need a controllable force. Two is too few, because we need to be able to split into smaller groups if we need to. Think tactically. The enemy has a front, and two flanks. With three people, we could attack form all directions... But if they can fly --or even if they can't-- they really have four or five areas: Their bottom and their top. Five people would be ideal for that arrangement. Five people could be split into two groups of roughly the same function. The second most powerful would take the third most powerful, and the most powerful would take the two least powerful. That still leaves a group of two, though...

The solution: Six. We need six. That way we have the bare maximum to surround the enemy together, and we can split into two or even three equal groups. Classifying power from highest as 1 to lowest as 6, we would need to place 1, 4, and 5 together, and then we would need to place 2, 3, and 6 together, for equally balanced teams. To split into three groups, we would need to place 1 and 6, 2 and 5, and 3 and 4 together. With only two people in each group, a group's power would be cut by more than a quarter, but it would still be more powerful than each of us on our own.

With three people, you can each take a flank and an elevation. One would watch the front and the ground. Another would take the right and center, and the third would take above and to the left. It would make for not as perfect a force, but it would give them each some breathing room they may not have had otherwise, and keep them from interfering with each other's fights. If you had six people, you could have four in the center, one on the ground, and one in the air. The ground could knock them upwards, the sky could knock them downwards, and the four in the middle could blast them all to hell.

((This post doesn't count to going to the planet.))
She was still figuring strategies when she felt the ship accelerate suddenly, in a direction that wasn't where they were going. But her computer didn't wake her up, so it must not have been important. That's another thing... How specialized do we need to be, and how so? If we all specialize in energy attacks, then if we're caught at a bad time, we're dead. But if we aren't focused enough on energy, then we won't stand a chance when we need it. She pondered this for over an hour, which seemed like only a few minutes to her.

((this one does razz ))
And Arin continued to ponder that question. Depending on how evenly her group was balanced, there would be consequences. She figured that it would play itself out. And how to decide? If there are several warriors, how do I know which ones to bring? I suppose I could just take their power levels, but what does that tell me about their skill? I might take someone who's less-than-useful, and just have to kill them later. She sighed again. This was going to be a headache.

And another question came to mind: How will I find them? My scouter should be able to track down some power levels, but do I really want to chase them down one by one? Well, that's what she was going to have to do, whether she wanted to or not. Or else she was going to have to somehow get a message to every one of them at the same time, and give them a chance to gang up on her. She would land, train, and then search for suitable subjects. And if they don't want to join me... I'll kill them to keep them quiet.

As easy said as done, she figured. Besides, she should really get saiyans to do this. It would be so much easier to strike fear into the universe if they were dealing with oozaru rather than humans. But she couldn't trust any saiyans to overthrow everything they stood for. Sigh. I'll figure it out. I'll be able to do this. Besides... If I can't find anyone suitable... I'll do it myself. And damn the rest of the Universe. And that sounded like a much better idea, anyway. No putting up with other people. No dealing with rebellion and useless challenges. Not even any sharing. She would just be alone and ruling without challenge.

Arin woke up, suddenly returning to normal speed. "My Lady. We are nearing the planet Earth. What are your instructions?" "Prepare us to land, then. Somewhere secluded. I don't want any visitors." "Yes, of course Queen Arin." The pod shifted course, turning a very large, sweeping arc toward some rocky desert. It sped forward at light speed before it slowed to a halt and set down lightly on the planet's surface. Arin blinked and forced herself awake completely. "I want you to find a secure location and to wait for my signal. Understood?" "Yes, milady. Good luck."

The door had brought them to the third floor. The lushest and most decorated floor of the entire ship. Arin looked around and looked to Aki, who was staring in amazement. "I would like you to open the docking bay, and allow a ship inside. It's on its way. Afterward, I want to depart for planet Nexum. The other ship will have the coordinates. Other than that, we'll be sure to let you know if we need anything." Arin hit the call button on her remote. Everything was going so smoothly. She smiled to her partner "And think. All we had to do was kill one of the strongest humans to get it. Shall we pick our rooms?" She was careful to say 'rooms' instead of 'room,' because she wasn't sure what Aki would want.
"Actually.... I get kind of nervous when I'm sleeping alone." She whispered slyly into Arin's ear "And since there's no one else, I guess I'm just going to have to come with you, huh?" She grinned, whispering the last so close to Arin's ear that Aki's breath tickled her neck.
Arin closed her eyes and inhaled involuntarily. "I- suppose I can take you in... If I have to." She grinned, kissing Aki lightly and taking her by the hand to the room at the rear of the ship, where all six rooms were spread in an equally spaced circle. She smiled and pushed the door open. It was a very large room. It was large even by this ship's standards. It had a bathroom, and even --and this perplexed her-- a television set. These humans were downright pathetic. she laughed, walking in and towards the bathroom as Aki walked towards the mahogany dresser opposite it. Arin lithely slipped out of her armor, down to her black suit again.
Aki saw her in the mirror, and her hand tightened as she repressed a shiver of delight. She couldn't get over that gorgeous body. And even her tail was attractive, sleek and black. She turned around, slipping out of her jacket as she turned. Two can play at that game. "You know... I need a bath." Aki wasn't particularly dirty... At least her body wasn't.
Arin had to fight to keep her breath. "I thought you got nervous alone..."
Aki stepped up to Arin, leaning in like she was going to kiss her... And then walked by, sliding her hand along Arin's gorgeous stomach "Who said I had to be alone?" She whispered into Arin's ear as she passed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Arin lay in the king-sized bed with her head resting on Aki's chest, remembering the night before. She couldn't remember if they had gone into that bathroom planning on getting clean or getting dirty... But she had never felt better in her entire life. She didn't even care that they were both women. She didn't care that she was addicted to this girl. She was amazingly aware of her fingers on Aki's ribs, and her tail resting on Aki's hot thigh. The blankets were strewn around them, dragged up around them almost as an afterthought.
Aki had her hand playing through Arin's hair as she woke up. She felt Arin's tail on her bare thigh and smiled contently, her other hand wrapped around the saiyan's waist, holding them together. She took a deep breath of Arin's hair and kissing her cheek lightly "Good morning, love..."
"But I don't want to wake up... This dream will end." Arin moaned softly and curled closer to Aki's body.
Aki smiled softly, holding Arin closer to her. "Who the hell said we're getting up? I don't feel like going anywhere. There's a lot of memories in this bed." She grinned.
Arin ran her hand up Aki's ribs lightly "Not enough, if you ask me." She smiled and looked into Aki's eyes like a starved animal.
Aki shivered and pulled Arin closer. "I agree wholeheartedly."
Arin smiled and stretched, wrapping her arms lightly around Aki's hips. How long they had been sleeping she didn't know... Although she knew it hadn't been half as long as they had been in that bed. "Come on, love... We need to get you ready to come to my home. How does that sound?" She pulled on Aki's hand softly "Come on. Otherwise you might just collapse there. And then I'd have to carry you everywhere. And while that doesn't sound like a bad idea, I don't know if I could control myself." She grinned, kissing Aki's cheek.
Aki blinked herself awake and saw Arin in front of her, immediately turning red. She's real? She smiled and wrapped her arms around Arin. "Awwww... But can't we just stay here?" She knew the answer before Arin said anything. "Alright... But only if I get a kiss." She smiled as Arin kissed her cheek. "Alright, alright. I'll come." She stood up with Arin and they walked to get dressed in some training suits that were as skin-tight as Arin's normal bodysuit.
Together they walked to the gravity training rooms on a separate floor, holding each others' hands. Aki felt completely relaxed as they stepped through the doors. She knew this was all going to work out. No matter what happened. But she needed to be stronger. She needed to be able to protect Arin... She was going to be able to.
