He was sort of prouf of his name. In fact, he fancied it so much that it intoxicated him sometimes. Laying under the tree they called home-he pondered diffrene stories he had been thinking of... and ones he knew from his life. His golden eyes were shut but his pale ears were moving slowly-picking up any sounds that may intrude him. His normally squinted eyes were shut tight, blocking out the sunlight. He stretched his legs and began to think about the tanners of the pack-wondering how they went about the process...
He wondered how many of them loved the process or the killing to obtain the furs. He flexed his toes and rolled onto his side luxuriously. He squirmed and kicked some more, his pale legs strong and muscular; though it was his tongue that was much more popular and useful.

Risktaker was wandering around the lands, not yet time to hunt. He padded down from Father Tree, saying hello to pack members and wagging his tail. It was a good evening, really. Nice and clear, with high stars and a bright moon. He loved nights like this.
He spotted a wild dog up ahead and, tilting his head, trotted over to him.
"Comfortable, my friend?" Risktaker intoned jovially as he padded up, making his presence known in advance so the other didn't get spooked or irritated. He laughed, standing nearby and grinning at him. It certainly looked comfortable. He flopped over, from standing to laying down in a matter of seconds, and heaved a sigh, "Oh, I see why this is appealing."

Gin inclined his head when he heard Risktaker coming close. He inclined it more in greeting. He watched him flop down and could not help but smirk. His leaders mate was some what of-a different character to Gin. Since he and Saffron became familiar here and became more and more close-he was starting to smile more and think less of Nanu.
He chuckled. "Aih-something about warm dirt. Nothing as simple as that. Just warm-dirt under your fur." He said, leaning back and rubbing his cheek along the dirt playfully. He wasn't one for being social. "Tis as appealing as rolling in something dead-I say."

"I agree with you there, my friend," the brown wild dog hummed, closing his eyes and rolling onto his back. He curled his paws toward his body, tail wagging under him. It kept getting caught on the ground, not used to wagging upside down, so it was flopping around like a fish out of water. Still, it got the point that he was content across just fine.
"About the dirt, anyway. I'm not sure I'm all that fond of rolling in something dead. But hey, I'll try anything once. Twice, if I like it. Or if I can't decide." He laughed, looking around, upside down, to get his bearings and locate Gin nearby. It was a bit disorientating.
"So, I hear rumor in the pack that you and Saffron are hanging out more and more? That's not a stalkerish thing to say, right? I hear... a lot, in the pack. Kind of my thing. And I like her, a lot. She deserves a few good friends, and if you're one of them then I'm glad to hear it."

Gin sat and thought about the ways of this pack and how much he was enjoying life again. He was a careless pup at one time and was always happy, but here-he could be himself and be gleeful. He could even LIE... that was what a story teller was good at. He had to be good at it. He had done it for years.
Laying here on the ground with the mate to his cheiftess was an odd scenario however. He didn't say much in response to anything risktaker said, just nodding and rolling. But when Saffron's name popped up, he sat upright quickly. He stared at Risktaker for a moment... a bit startled. "Well... we knew one another before we became a part of this pack... before we had wolf names..." He leaned back on his elbows. "Then I was young and stupid.. and she had the personality of a rock..."
He sighed. "Back then I had another female in my mind-and it let me bypass a few others... such as Saffron."

Risktaker, being a genial guy, wasn't used to carrying a conversation so much as encouraging it. He loved talking and sharing, but it was generally easier when the other was as invested as he was. That being said, two of his closer friends within the pack both had issues speaking. One was Saffron, who was so stoic and reserved she sometimes came off as rude. Risk, of course, had never thought that for a moment. The other was Phantomsoul, who had grown up alone after a severe head injury, and never really learned to talk save what she heard from others. Risk thought of her like a much-too-old daughter.
"You knew her before?" he said, ears perking forward. Or... backward. Being upside down was a bit tricky. He flopped onto his side, rolling to his stomach and curling his paws beneath him. He grinned, eager to hear. He laughed, "yeah, I can see where the rock thing might be easy to believe."
Smiling fondly, he nodded, "I'm glad you're giving her a second look, though. She's a good heart, I can tell. People who understand her are great, but it's not just that. It's just... being able to accept her, and let her be who she is. I think that's what she really loves. But you know that, right? You're a story teller, aren't you? Seems an odd pairing, but I like the sound of it." He laughed jovially, no ill will or meaning in his words at all.

Gin stretched his paws out in front of him and nodded. He had known Saffron before she was Saffron and before he was Silvertongue. Back when he was-still a homeless soul. Back when he was-still betrothed to Nanu. "Yeah... I met her once before and never thought of her again really-but since I met her here-I guess we hit it off... I suppose I was different and she was too."
He sat and shut his eyes for a moment, his smile portraying his actually enjoyment of her. He really truely like her... for everything she was. He liked her lack of emotions before and now that they were slowly sneaking out of her-he was finding himself more and more fond of her-and happier and happier he had chosen to give her his heart.
"I guess you could say she knew my soul name. Hehe." He chuckled. "odd... yes... but... I like odd..."

Risktaker laughed. He knew a bit about souls and a bit about names. His one and only, his lifemate, knew both and everything: she was, as far as he was concerned, more his soul than he had ever had without her. He couldn't really remember what he was before her, and before the Peke Na.
And it didn't matter.
"Well, I'm glad for you, my friend!" Risk said, tail wagging. He nodded meaning it. Love was something he firmly believed in, but he knew not every relationship was as cut and dry as that. Things got complicated. Life took turns. But for them to meet again, with new names and in a new place, he couldn't help but think that meant something.
He imagined Silvertongue and Saffron had their own ideas on that.
"You better take care of her, though. New rule I'm initiating. No hurting the ones that don't talk much." He grinned, knowing Gin wouldn't do that. Probably. He didn't know the other that well, but if he was in the Peke Na chances were he wasn't liable to. Or maybe Risk was just naive.

Silvertongue sat and just gazed at the mate to his leader and just had to sit and dwell upon him. Something about Risktaker gave Silvertongue the impression that he would not be a good leader if left to himself. The females always had a level head. "I am glad as well... My original intended left me for another-so I was spiteful of it but now I know how it feels to have a true mate."
He sat and gazed straight ahead for a moment, his thoughts were obviously on his past and of Nanu. Of the things that were now obsolete. He sighed, shifting around for a moment.
"Of course I'll take care of her..." He said rather taken back, though there was a smile upon his clever face. "And if Did hurt her-she'd tell you or you'd know... she'd lay me on my back..."

Risktaker didn't care about opinion or how he was viewed. He acted as he was made to act, and lived as he saw fit. He had earned his name, after all, and there would always be that part of him. As far as he went, he didn't make snap judgments about others capabilities based on one meeting. But that was not a way of thought everyone shared.
"I have no doubt about that," Risk laughed, shaking his head. He rolled around for a bit, then got to his feet.
"I should probable be getting back to... well. I'm not sure what I was doing, but I should probably figure that out." Really, he just wanted to go see Wisdom, "I know I'm repeating myself, but I'm glad you and Saffron recognized each other. It'll be good for you both, I think."

Gin lifted his head and gazed around-hoping to spot the one called wisdomchaser, their cheiftess. He nodded and really didn't say much, standing up and shaking off his silver coat.
"Thankyour Risktaker!" He said, giving him a small nod before turning and heading to where he knew Saffron was. He had an itch to go be with her all of a sudden.
