 A chunk of ice must be kept from the last snow of the season, wrapped in prayer beads. When the ritual is performed, one must take the beaded ice and set it on the floor, remove a small chunk and ingest it. Before the ingested ice has time to melt, the Summoner must lean close to the beads and exhale deeply against them, creating a mist; the Yuki-onna will form from the mist.

 The Yuki-onna will be bound to assist Ein in uncovering the truth about his real family, as well as serving as a confidant and companion. In return, Ein will be bound by word to never speak of his encounters with the Yuki-onna or any information she helped uncover that wouldn‘t be available by conventional means. If Ein’s word is broken, the Yuki-onna will return and lay claim to his soul, taking it as her companion and slave for as long as she exists.
Should no information be found at all, the contract will be void and the Yuki-onna will return from whence she came with Ein’s soul staying intact, regardless of him speaking a word about her. If the Yuki-onna were to kill Ein or allow him to be killed through inaction, then the contract is also void and she will not get his soul.
