The satyrs are throwing a party. The forest is filled to bursting with drunken, horny goat men that keep nudging Anyel and subtly, or not so subtly suggesting activities he could partake in. Some of the not so subtly ones have very determined grabby hands. As such, Anyel decides that the best place to be is the nearest town. He enters a bustling city with tall inns, impressive churches and guild halls, and a busy marketplace.

Entering the marketplace, Anyel fights the urge to jump every time someone brushes by him. Damn goat men and their damn grabby hands. Hunching his shoulders under his cloak, he peers around at the goods for sale, an eye out for anything useful or interesting.

The merchants are selling the odd trinket. Mostly, there's jewelry, an abundance of rings, a necklace or two, even an ostentatious crown. One ring does catch Anyel's eye. It is a silver band carved with a variety of intricate animals.

Anyel has seen an item like this with another druid. The ring, he remembers, helped the druid to befriend animals. He also recalls the the ring cost the druid quite a bit of money. Upwards of 10,000 gold a lot. But a quick glance at the price reveals the ignorant vendor is selling it for only 1,000 gold.

Unfortunately, Anyel doesn't have a thousand gold. In fact, he doesn't even have 50 gold. Maybe he can bargain. Right. Start low. "This ring," he says to the vendor, "I'll give you ten silver for it."

Under his hood, Anyel pouts. The vendor sounds serious. Still, it can't hurt to give it one more try. "Ten gold?"

"No, no!" the vendor says, waving Anyel away. The big arm movements seem to be attracting others attention. They might notice the ring.

Anyel sets the ring down. "Good luck finding someone to buy it," he says, trying to sound unconcerned. He walks away slowly, occasionally stealing back little glances at the ring. He racks his brain, trying to think of how he can earn money fast. Maybe find an herbalist and figure out which rare plants would be worth a lot?

There are some small jobs. Chop some firewood, hunt down some animals, clear out a goblin infestation. Most of it isn't worth more than 50 gold. However, one job is worth 1,000 gold. Check out an outbreak of undead.
