Long story short we have no internet so I'm piggybacking on a neighbour without permission.
If I knew who it was I'd ask but I don't so I wont.

I'm currently hosting a contest in the ATG clan...
As far as I know, if it's wireless and is not password protected, it's perfectly legal. It is the owners responsibility to protect their internet.
...The prize is 5k. Why not swing by and check it out?

We have internet our provider has been down all day. My dad is friends with the guy who runs the place so he's going to call him tomorrow if we're still without connection and see why we're paying for something that doesn't work.
We get VIP attention because we're cool and the other customers don't let him come over to watch kick a** movies.
By stealing I meant I was high jacking it instead of being "allowed". But it's nice to know no one is going to bust down my door.

It never hurts to be careful about it though. If the person catches it, there is probably something that can be done about it. I don't think they can do anything LEGAL, but it may start a feud. I would suggest changing your computer name so that it doesn't have any personal info in it, such as a name or nickname people know you by.

Aa, VIP attention is nice for such things.
I hate when my internet randomly stops working. But if complained to about it, they tend to take off part of the payment depending on the amount of time lost.

I don't think he really was. Elmer evolved from the character of Egghead, didn't he?

Hm... as I recall, he WAS evolved from Egghead, and (as much as any cartoon character can be) has always been pretty white. Unless you meant he was in black-and-white cartoons (which is where a lot of the old cartoons started)?

Well Elmer came about in 1940, and Egghead before then.
But nevertheless...racist cartoons...they were banned for a reason.... Ugh.
