The young preteen had decided to go to the mall in search of new additions to her gradually growing earring collection and other such accessories. She had been saving up her allowance for weeks now and even now she had to wait because she had gotten grounded for the longest time due to the stunt she pulled with suddenly tearing her room apart in order to redecorate it. She felt her room was still imperfect but her allowance wouldn't really allow for many additions to her room that she wanted and so she would have to settle for accessories to outfits instead.
Currently it was the afternoon and the food court was much to full so she grabbed her small meal at the Gino Burger and decided to eat it at the small bench near a calmly splashing fountain. Despite her best efforts to sit still and simply enjoy her modest meal with her bags of purchases sprinkled around her she still noted faint ticks and twitches in her talon-toes and her tail tip. Her wings shuddered lightly before they draped once more much like an elegant cloak.

Vinny frowned slightly as he was led into the mall by his older brother. "Why are we here?" He asked. "I know you don't like shopping..." He caught sight of Joshua's grin, and stopped. He wondered what the older boy was planning. Or if Josh was just teasing him.
"I want to get a present for Nattie." Joshua finally told him. "A good present. Not like the Valentine I gave her."
Vinny would have liked to point out that Nataya had liked the Valentine card, but he knew his older brother wouldn't listen to him. "She'd probably like something purple." He told Josh, with a shrug. "Let's get something to eat first."

The tall pre-teen girl watched as the brothers happened to pass by her with a small bit of curiosity. Her head tilted from side to side as she continued to eat her meal as if trying to figure out how the two boys seemed related to each other and because she knew neither of them assumed they were simply friends. The one looked like a spawn, much like herself, but one could never be certain.
Still she never passed up an opportunity to meet someone new and in this case she'd get to meet two new people! So before both of them went too far she offered up a friendly, "Hi!" in hopes that the boys would spare at least a small moment to talk to her.

Vincent whirled around to see the speaker, smiling as he caught sight of Wynni. He nudged his older brother, who still had his back turned. Josh turned to frown at him; then he too set eyes on the girl, and smiled.
"Hi!" Vinny said, cheerfully. "I'm Vinny. What's your name?" The younger boy heard his brother mutter something about needing to find Nattie a present, and frowned at him. "This is Josh," He added, looking at the girl. "He's usually not this shy..." He had teasing sound to his voice, as he looked at his brother.
Josh's eyes narrowed, but he smiled at Wynni. "How are you?" He asked.

Wynni beamed as they took notice of her. This meant she didn't exactly have to get up and seemingly abandon her hard earned cargo that she didn't exactly feel like lugging around at the moment. She watched the pair interact and then nodded, "I am Wynni, good to meet you Vinny and Josh!" Wynni said with a smile and a nod.
"I am pretty good, I see you were heading to the food court, it is kind of crowded over there, just a warning. How are you guys doing?" There was a pause and then she blushed while a hand went to her mouth for a moment as if startled, "Oh! I am not keeping you from something am I?"

Josh was about to say yes, and that he'd like to get his lunch and go back to shopping, but that was before Vinny spoke up. "We're not doing anything. Want to hang out with us?" He asked, with a tilt of his head.
Josh frowned, but he nodded Wynni. "Sure, you can hang out with us, if you want."

She tilted her head looking from sibling to sibling before she smiled lightly and nodded, "Sure! Maybe I can help you guys out with something." Wynni offered as she stood gathering her parcels. Luckily she wasn't carrying too many things at this point.
"Let's get you guys something to eat first. Not fair that I got to eat and you guys did." Wynni said in a cheerful tone as she moved to a nearby trash bin and tossed the trash from her lunch.
"Ready when you guys are!"

Vinny smiled, maybe Wynni could help them find a good present for Nataya. She was, afterall, a girl. And girls usually knew what to get each other for presents.
Joshua brightened at the mention of food. He headed towards one of the stands in the food court. "Vinny, you want a cheeseburger?" He asked, looking back with a tilt of his head.

Wynni followed the pair happily as she carted her things along. She tilted her head a bit from side to side, "So what brings you boys to the mall," the tall girl queried after they had attended to ordering their meal. It wasn't often that two boys went shopping to the mall together, usually they just loafed about with no purpose in mind at all, or at least her brother Mana did when he was brought here for whatever reason.

Joshua took the order and sat at one of the nearby tables. Vinny sat across from him, moving so Wynni was able to sit next to him. "Um, well.. Josh is trying to find a present for one of his friends." The younger boy explained. "But we don't know what to get her, because he's so picky and.." He gave his brother an annoyed look.
Josh frowned at his brother before saying, "It has to be a good present, because..." He blushed.
"Because he likes her." Vinny finished, recieving a glare from his older brother. He shrugged it off. "What? It's true!"

Wynni comfortably settled next to Vinny once again setting her bags down and she wore an amused smile as she listened to them talk about why they were there. Her grin grew as Josh blushed and she respectfully swallowed down a giggle and nodded.
"Nothing wrong with liking a girl! You want to pick a good gift for her and that makes you a good, kind friend. What is she like? I bet she's pretty." She said cheerfully chattering along, being mindful of Vinny as she glanced at him in order to keep him drawn into the conversation.

Josh smiled, and nodded, relieved that someone, especially a girl could understand. They usually giggled and teased. That was what his mom did, anyway. "She is pretty!" He said. "The prettiest. And nicest too. There's no one nicer than she is. Not in all of Gaia."
Vinny rolled his eyes. "There's no one as vain as Josh is, either." He muttered. "He's been so fussy about picking out the present that he hasn't really tried to think of what she might like." He paused, and looked to his brother. "You know, she likes art. Maybe buy her some art supplies?"

The pre-teen repressed a giggle and simply smiled and nodded to Josh as he spoke about the girl he seemed enamored with. It seemed nice to have someone to care so much about and even to the point to get them something nice to show that you thought of them. Her pale pink eyes flicked toward Vinny and she seemed thoughtful as she repressed another giggle at his commentary about his brother's vanity.
"Nothing wrong with getting your friend the perfect gift, it shows you care," she pointed out sagely and tilted her head to the side as the other spawn pointed out that the girl in question liked art and suggested art supplies, "Oh! That would be a wonderful idea, it'd encourage her to keep doing art and it shows you that you thought of her and her interests." Wynni said in reply.

Joshua brightened. "That's it!" He said, "I'll get her some art supplies!" He was acting as if he'd just come up with the idea. "Why didn't I think of it sooner?"
Vinny rolled his eyes, and looked to Wynni. "I sincerely hope she likes him back--we'd never hear the end of it if she doesn't." He muttered. "He'll go back to normal soon--he's not really as vain as he seems. Just around girls."

Wynni gave a small giggle at Josh's euphoric moment and let him have it. The tall girl was amused more than anything else. If it made him happy who was she to rain on his parade? She nodded a bit, "Sometimes good ideas take a while," Wynni pointed out with a small grin.
She looked over at Vinny and gave a small laugh and nodded, "Me, too! She sounds very nice from what he says." Wynni said with a sincere tone as she looked from Vinny then to Josh and back again. "Oh? He's different without girls around?" she seemed bemused by the idea.
