The prides heart is located within a very dense forest and just on the outskirt of the clearing in dead center of the forest. Protecting the heart of the pride are vines that curl around the trees themselves and entwine with the vines that had been there for years. Sprouting from these vines are black and purple blossoms that release toxic gases on the queens command. It's only fitting since she is their creator and mother. Sprouting up from the ground are abnormally large Venus fly traps that eat a bit more than the average insect.
Thanks to the gene the queen has acquired from her father, the plant life she created to make a protective stand is immune to fire. In fact they are able to thrive on both fire and water. Due to the location of the pride, the game to be hunted consist of rabbit, field mice, gazelle and any other big game that dares wander into the forest. Within the clearing runs a river teaming with fish of many species and sizes. The grasses are tall enough for hunting but not too tall to lose track of a cub.
Within the forest there are many natural trenches and ditches whose coverings consist of bushes that serve as shelters. There are also cave that pride members can stay in to keep warm and dry. The ditches usually serve as shelter for cubs because at times they are generally too small for adult lions.
