The sun bore down on Jua as he laid in the tall grass. He had ventured farther away from home than usual, and he hadn't planned on doing anything in particular.
His muscles were lax, and he felt the warm breeze blow through his fur; it was nice, being alone, able to think. Without all of his siblings, the world seemed to stand still.

Zuberi watched the brightly colored wild dog. He was quite amazed at how still he could stand. Zuberi was use to watching others. He was the oldest of 8 pups and he took it upon himself to watch over the "younger" ones.
He was pretty sure this dog was older then he was but not by two much. It was possible they could make good friends. But Zuberi was unsure of how to approach him. Although he spent a lot of watching others, he still wasn't so great at the actual approach.
Zuberi took a few steps closer to the other dog, trying to see if he had a friendly look to him, without getting spotted. Deciding the other looked friendly enough Zuberi took a deep breath and came out of the shrubbery. "Hi!" he called cheerfully. Maybe this wouldn't be so hard after all he thought to himself, smiling.

Jua opened his eyes quickly, shocked that someone had gotten this close; he hadn't been paying too much attention to his surroundings, and so he didn't notice the other approach.
"Hi?" he was unsure of himself. This other pup seemed to not mean harm, so he trotted a little closer to him. "Who....are you?" Jua tilted his head to the side; he hadn't realized another family was in the area now. More friends for him, he thought.

"I am Zuberi_Sikio, or Zuberi, or Strongear, or Zube depending on who you ask. You can choose which one you like." Zuberi answered politely. He had already decided he liked this pup. He was different from his siblings. It was refreshing, Zeberi loved his brothers and sisters but who doesn't like change every once in awhile.
Zeberi's mind started to wonder now. What could he and the other pup do, he was sure they could have fun together. As he thought his tail began to wag. Oh this could turn out to be a very good day!

"Oh....." Jua's small voice trailed of. He only saw one thing before him: energy. Being a lazy pup like his father, Jua could always sense when someone had a lot of energy. It almost seemed to seep from the pup. "I'm....Jua." he was hesitant; another adventure wouldn't be too bad, right? As long as there wasn't too much work involved.
"I've never seen you around here. Is your family nearby?" he glanced behind him, seeing only savannah. He knew, though, how concealed dens could be; his owns was in a very secretive place.

"Uh my family isn't too far from here" Zuberi said looking back over his shoulder. He knew the pack's location wasn't visible from here. "I am actually a pack member"
"So what are you doing all the way out here." Zuberi asked. He knew that there were families that lived out on their own, without packs... it was a concept that Zuberi didn't overly understand. Didn't they like having others around.... well now that he thought about it Zuberi could understand not wanting to constantly be around others.

A pack? Around here? The thought was new to Jua; his parents had never told him about a pack near here. "So why are you away from them?" Although Jua himself wasn't a part of a pack, he knew how unusual it was for a pup to be out alone. "I live near here, so it's not too far fetched for me to be here."

"Oh... I didn't realize there were other dens out here.... I didn't know dogs often lived out side a pack in fact. Our pack is fairly new to the area, we are still growing in numbers..." Zuberi was happy to learn about others outside of the pack. He liked to learn he liked to think he was a knowledgeable pup. The world was a very exciting place and that was why he made it a point to venture beyond the pack's borders when he could.
"So you are familar with this area? Zuberi wondered if this cub would be able to show him some new things, perhaps even teach him something interesting.

"Well, I guess for the most part...." Jua eyed the scenery around them closely; he knew that some packs weren't all too keen on leaving lone pups alone. "You haven't been out exploring the area? You seem like the kind of pup that would." he let out a laugh, remembering his first exploration many many moons ago.

"Well I have explored a bit.... but well my pack is a nocturnal one so I am not out much during the day... its too hot." Zuberi looked around him. It was a much different looking in this area in the day time then it was at night. Zuberi's pack weren't usually awake during the day, finding it too hot during the day that the pack had suffered in the past. But Zuberi kinda liked the day time.... every once in a while it was nice anyways. "So do you know of anything really fun in this area I should know about? Zuberi asked the other pup.

"Sounds kinda nice, not going out in the day." Jua squeezed his eyes shut; he hated the daytime. But it was more of him being lazy than anything else. "Fun?" he looked around, trying to think of the things he-- no, his siblings did. Jua tended to stay in the den all day, only going out to play when it was with his twin. "I'm drawing a blank on that one." he let out a laugh. "But I guess there's always more fun when you explore with someone else."

Zuberi was amused that the other cub wasn't sure of what was fun around here, but at least he was willing to explore with him. Zuberi didn't get much out during the day so this was bound to be fun. "Well he asked what is the direction you know the least about?" Zuberi figured that the direction neither of them knew about would hold the most fun for the outing.

"Mm....." Jua glanced around quickly; the whole area seemed unfamiliar right now. He looked everywhere, shifting his weight from one side to the other. "I guess...." he eyes quickly locked onto a more wooded area; he had never been in a place like that before. He had only ever gone into the light brush with his twin. "There!" Jua began to trot off in the direction he had his eyes set on, turning his head back to look at the other pup impatiently.

Zuberi started to run behind the other pup. He came from a forested area and he knew the fun a forest could hold for both of them. Zuberi tried to keep up with the other pup but he was faster then him, it was frustrating for him, Zuberi was use to being the fast, as he was the eldest of his litter and the biggest. "Hey wait up a second." Zuberi panted to the other cub. He didn't want to loose the other cub but he was worried about frustrating the older pup with his slowness.

Jua stopped suddenly, right in front of the other pup. A massive grin spread across his face, as he intentionally bumped into the other pup. "Too slow?" Jua began to lightly tease the other pup, all in good spirits. "C'mon! We've got adventure to find!"
Running aimlessly into the wooded area, Jua looked around for anything that might interest him. A hollow log was his first victim; he quickly ran through it and clawed at the top, feeling its soft wood.
