A young female cub wiggled down in the grass. In the childish, uncordinated way of a cub, she was getting ready to pounce and attack the insect in front of her.
Unlike most cubs, Boring was intense on this insect. It was not a game for her, but a matter of survival. She had learned very quickly that sitting around wondering what it was she was to do with herself only made things worse. Taking initiative to get a job done was necessary, and she meant to do it.
Today, the cub was successful. She managed to catch the insect, and in two bites had it chewed up and swallowed. Hah! She had done it! Take THAT!
Boring commenced to pridefully strut at this. There may not have been anyone around have noticed her performance, but pride was ingrained into her. Now...to turn to stalking even more!

((She's grown into a teen, buuut cub works better for this. X3))
Boring wasn't the only one; another little cub, a bit bigger than her albeit, huddled down low in the grass. Her crimson eyes were locked on a tiny mouse up ahead, her claws digging into the ground beneath her with every step she took. Closer... closer... almost... -GO-!
With a tiny, half-formed screech, she struck, darting out to lunge at the mouse. Only to smack square into someone else with another tiny screech. "What the -- ?!"

She had never known her mother, but a cub's first instinct was to cry out for help when she was hurt badly--like being bonked in the head by surprise by another head! For a milisecond, Boring thought of crying and calling out, but it was quickly swallowed. Foolishness! She was the leader and mother of herself!
"What was THAT for? What's wrong with you? I was going to get that mouse, and now it's gone, and it's all your fault!" She looked the other cub up and down, having stood back up by now, all bristled and ready to show who was boss.
