Physical Description: Tall and gangly for a woman of her age, lanky, grey eyed Seryes is more 'handsome' than beautiful, and impression more strongly underlined by the fact that she wears her light brown, sun-streaked hair practically short. She has strong features with high cheekbones and a slightly arched nose, though on what occasions she does smile, her slightly broad mouth does shine light on the fact that she isn't entirely unattractive, merely somewhat dour and a little bitter. She has long hands with slender fingers, and sinewy musculature from her work with the Watch Whers, though she's the first to admit her feet are a bit large.
Personality: Seryes tends to be somewhat brusque, her personality testament to a woman who is torn between genuinely enjoying her work, and feeling a lingering sense of disappointment and failure. She has little patience for the flighty and the lazy, and prefers the company of the Watch Whers to that of most people, feeling that they don't judge her when others do, and has not had extended relationships for some time.
History: Born to two riders, who she will not discuss, Seryes was both expected and encouraged to try and impress, and with such strong urging from her parents, did not learn an outside craft to fall back on. She had the potential to impress, that much was clear. She stood on the sands every time a clutch was born to the Weyr, and every time, walked away without a dragon. The older she became, the more time she spent around the Watch Whers, learning to take care of them to assuage the pain she felt, the sense of disappointment she imagined others must feel at her failure to impress, and eventually came to look at them as her version of dragons. She feels a strong bond with them, whatever others might think, and sees them as similar to herself, being very close to dragons and riders, yet miles apart.
