I'm just curious - but do candidates have the chance to impress any color, or will candidates remain gender-bound? You mention that things have become more open about allowing women into other positions, so I'm just curious if that falls into having them being fighting riders (and yes, I fully understand the sexual connotations, it doesn't bother me in the slightest).
Also, may we have multiple characters (and thus, multiple candidates)?
Thank you ahead of time!

Actually, if you take a look at the Interest thread, it has descriptions of the dragons, and the people allowed to ride them :3 (I don't think Lei has transferred it to the main thread yet XD ) LinkSecond post! (and they have said they're going to be strict with those guidelines mentioned in the dragons descriptions) Hope that answers your questions :3 (and if not, you can always ask more 8D *has asked a dozens questions herself prior to guild being set up*)

Ahh, thanks for pointing that out. I was worried it might be "females only on golds" (that is, something along the lines of 9th pass Pern), where a pairing like Path is an exception, not a rule.

Sorry for not getting to this sooner! I hope that the dragon info helps. You will be allowed to have as many characters as you want, candidates or non. <3

}~{I have a question or two concerning Flits. Are they going to have their own certs etc.? And also, is it possible to have one for your character, if, let's say, you got one from the christmas thread, and you made it plausible as to how they would have it? (It's not even a rare color I'm questioning about. I recieved a bronze and a green for christmas, but I'm interested in perhaps having a green flit for my charrie >.<)}~{

In the Submission Guidelines for applications it says: Quote: Fire-lizards are not acceptable pets unless you already have one from the shop. Applications including a firelizard pet without a firelizard cert (holiday ones are acceptable!) will not be approved. So, since the holiday ones are an acceptable form of a firelizard, I believe that answers the question? As long as it makes sense that your character has a firelizard (a six year old drudge would never be able to get their hands on an egg, for instance), then I believe it is acceptable to attach the firelizards you received as SS presents to your character razz I don't know about the certs, however, Lei and Nata will definitely have to answer that one... (and Lei, Nata - just yell at me if I shouldn't have tried to answer this XD)

Aimee is correct!
Firelizards will be recerted as characters are approved to have them. (:

Alright. This question is sorta complicated.
Azumi has a flit. She wants the flit to go to her character, Annelie. This character is rather poor and cannot afford a flit. One of my characters has a green flit. Is it feasible to claim, at some later date, that this green flit Rose and had a clutch that was subsequently given away and that Annelie's flit was part of that clutch?

Would a Journeyman Tanner be an acceptable rank? Like, one working under the Weyrtanner to learn how to put together all the Weyr-required leathery bits? Or would you rather we stick to something not that high up and go with Leatherworking instead?

It's probably a bit high up for them to be Searched at that point, so it might be safer to stick to the broader field.
I assume that's what you're asking about, anywho. :3 If you don't want to play them as a Candidate, I would say go ahead.

Hey.. Here do even the female dragonriders get their names abbreviated?

I'm not staff, but it does say on the front page of the shop that female riders, unless they Impress a gold dragon, can abbreviate their names. :3
