ok, this one is for Ville;
You know how I am looking to be a singer... what's having the band like and how did yours get started? The best bands are made of friends who have known one another a long time, right? So did you all meet long before or what? And does the fun weigh down the work? A good rule of thumb: When the work feels less like fun and more like work, it is time to get a new hobby.
I want to make sure my lazy a** is up to the task.

to answer your question vincent, i had a band for 6 year's with 3 side project's in that time. my best friend's were in that band, it was phenomenal. but the tide of hatred swept threw and the band broke up when i left for training in the army.i came back, the band was gone. my girl was gone so i said ******** it. and my parent's needed money bad, so i went and sold 11 custom shop jackson's and 2 krank amp's. i went to the city to do that, then after that incident i called up my friend from training and said i wanted to chill. he had a guitar there and i played angel of death by slayer. then he asked my how long i have been playing. i started when i was 8, so i told him 11 year's. later that night we got really shitty and recorded poison in 20 minute's. then they said they would base the band of me, and i was cool with that.
the truth of the subject is, no matter what idiot's you play with. no matter how much you hate them. when you get in the zone or what i like to call drop d bliss. everything flow's natural and for am minute you are at peace with yourself. it is not about how good your band is, it isn't the friend's in it. it is your love of creating music, i create music so that kid's can see what not to be. i want them to use me as a example for a good reference of what not to be. and hopefully pick up a guitar and save them self from the world's harm

my role models are Dave Mustaine, John Lennon, and Steven Tyler and Jimmy Pop Ali. I was fortunate to meet Steven, but I treated him like a normal human and not a celebrity when I did it. (He came to the Ren Fair Archery Area that I worked at and was in my way, so I yelled at him in character as a pissed off Renaissance archer. Everyone started going "that guy yelled at Tyler!" but later he came up and thanked me for treating him like a normal patron. He said it was nice to experience a true feel of a fair without the praises for a little while.)
I grew up listening to many things because my best friend since I was 3 YO listened to a wide range of music. Then my parents were stuck on the 80's kick until like 2 years ago, and my other friends like rap. So I listen to just about everything. I'm HEAVILY into showmanship as a singer and feel not enough people place interest as performers into that these days. Look at Michael Jackson's live gigs, for example. He was jumping ans spinning around on stage, had backup dancers come down in coffins and had the same dancers be dressed as skeletons. Sure, pyrotechnics are cool, but give me good old-fashioned dancing and choreography any day.
Combine the two and you've got an experience people will remember and you had fun performing!
To me, if you have fun doing something, you'll show more interest and do it better and people will enjoy it more.
